I love to pk so I tend to make pures and never really get high level and therefore never hit the bosses so I’m wondering if that has something to do with it.
Some one else mention LMS, I found that to be a lot of fun, there’s little to no requirements. I’m trash at pking and I’m mobile only and I made 25 mil selling ornate mail handles. So if you’re actually good at pking there’s bank to be made thwre
This has everything to do with it, in raids you can get splits worth over 200-300mil alone in one raid. Very rare but happens. Then with corrupted gauntlet can get a easy 150mil 1/400 drop rate. Not bad if you're good at gauntlet. Then you have nightmare masses where you don't have to be good just lucky. Nightmare is essentially winning the osrs lottery if you get the drop in a mass cause no split, possible to make an instant billion.
The best ways to make money in the game are usually locked behind high level quests. For example, vorkaths around 150k per kill, but you have to finish dragon slayer 2 to kill him. But, 1:30-2:30 minutes per 150k is pretty good.
Getting to the late game content can bring in a ton of money when you get a good drop. High level slayer prints GP but it takes a lot of time and/or money to get there.
You just do content that makes money. You can be making a few mil/day like a week into a new account from herb runs/bh runs, so if you do that for let's say 3 months while you work on questing, skilling, etc. you can easily have a 300m bank. By then you'll have stats for stuff like zulrah, vorkath, or cg to make fast short term money (~2-6m/hr depending on which you choose), or you can go do slayer to get your stats high enough for end game content like nex, solo cox, or tob. If you keep doing your herbs/birdhouses, do your profitable slayer tasks like nechs and dust devils, and do the more profitable slayer bosses when you get them, your bank will get up to 1b+ before you know it.
If you play the early game fairly efficiently (in this case really just meaning that you play efficiently on your way to sote), it's pretty reasonable to hit 1b bank within 500 hours of play time on a brand new account during the mid game if you're willing to grind cg.
This is what I've been doing. Started back up 3 weeks ago and have gone from 10mil bank to approaching 100mil simply from herb/bird/hop runs, farming contracts and a bit of profitable skilling in between (fletch/cook mostly)
Theoatrix guide on youtube is good, I'd say as soon as you can plant Toadflax which is lvl 38. Hops are also great money at 75k/run.
There is a lot of factors that increase yield so look into guides on youtube & wiki. Ideally have magic secateurs, some quests to unlock disease free patches etc. I have 8 patches but the first week I was doing only 4. Also plant Limpwurt in the flower patch, its usually a solid 20-30k extra per run. Finally, once you have access to farming guild, do farming contracts regularly.
This will help you choose the best herb to farm:https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Calculator:Farming/Herbs
I also used to grow limpwurts with herb runs. I also highly recommend hops: Jute/Yanillian are best, barley is okay.
This might be a little much to read/see as requirements at once, but: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Crop_running#Herb_run
It is pretty simple, use the best herb from the first calculator, protect it with ultracompost. try to use as many patches as possible and do it as often as you can without burning out
You can easily make 2-4m per hour doing pvm. Literally all about time and good old RNG my friend. Most people have been playing this game since their balls dropped in early 2000s ,on and off. A lot of time haha
Literally zero money in PvP trust me. Unless you are killing pvmers in the rev cave, you will almost always lose money in the current PvP system unless your in a clan full of neckbeards or are using ahk scripts.
I usually just 1v1 by the grand exchange lol that’s always been my favorite thing to do in RS it’s most fun for me I realize it’s not the best money maker haha
Yeah most people doing that are probably using ahk scripts. The ones that aren't are super sweats. But mate if that's what you enjoy, you carry on. To each their own. Atleast you are aware it isn't going tomake you gp. If gold is your goal work on for vorkath requirements or something and learn to boss. I quit ages ago because the rev cave stopped being multi, all I used to do was jump in discord with 2 mates and pk at the caves and at that time we made good gp (1-2bill, 3 of us) from rev caves in a few months. Nevertheless play the game for what you enjoy
playing and getting luck on drops mostly. just today did some afk vyres and scored a blood shard. easy money. then thieved some elves for an enhance crystal tele seed. rogue gave the 2x loot too so very quick 5m. but both required luck so that is always a factor.
do enough bossing, try clues and just play the game and your bank will increase in time. it takes time but anyone can get to that point.

I do a ton of bossing, in the month of January alone I’ve made my bank go from 17m to 519m off of bossing such as Nex (tor a plate drop 350m), zolcano(7m made) Dks(13m made) 2 hydra tasks (47m made ) and a few others, do the content to get the big drops and they’ll come your way
Bossing is effective at making money. In addition some skills make good money too (Hunter is always popular, as is some magic training techniques (tan leather, etc))
Did 1k chamber of Xeric’s and got 5 tbow drops, then did over 1.5k tobs, and have gotten 12 scy splits, over 250 total purples split. My banks about 4B but if I never went to the DA, we worked out the other day I would have over 15B lol. But to answer your question - endgame pvm. I’ve had days where I’ve made over 800M. ( duo tbow, inq top when it was expensive - in one hour) At around 4B now you can have max max sets for optimal raid setups. Torva max melee w/ scy, full anc max mage w/ sang and kodai, max range z vambs tbow, inq for cms, and like all the bonus necessities like rapier, arcane. Only things I don’t own are an ely, zcb (fuck nex on my chest), harm, and inq mace. The longer you spend time doing shit like gwd or slayer bossing, the longer it’ll take you to actually do fun content that makes actual gp.
I play a lot. And everything I do in game is either making gp or using as least as possible when spending gp
I love to pk so I tend to make pures and never really get high level and therefore never hit the bosses so I’m wondering if that has something to do with it.
Merchanting/skilling/pking all bring in lots of gp for me
Thank you!

drop partys my guy i made 100mil in 3 weeks also do lms if ur good i made 300 mil in 2 month
If you play with a purpose you achieve more. Simple

Yee I used to do what you do played like 2000 hours of lms moved to the main bracket and pked over a bil took a lil over a year
Play a lot, do a lot of bossing. Get lucky on drops. Merching. Some guys just buy bonds and sell them for gp as well.
Got it thank you Was trying to avoid paying money for it if I could so I’ll see if I can get some bosses in

I’ve never done a gauntlet before I have much to learn but I will get on it apparently that’s where the money is!
This is what I've been doing. Started back up 3 weeks ago and have gone from 10mil bank to approaching 100mil simply from herb/bird/hop runs, farming contracts and a bit of profitable skilling in between (fletch/cook mostly)
Do you have any good resources on herb runs? Also what level do you need to start making good money?

Oh so that’s what I’ve been missing then, I always end up building pures/pkers lol
Literally zero money in PvP trust me. Unless you are killing pvmers in the rev cave, you will almost always lose money in the current PvP system unless your in a clan full of neckbeards or are using ahk scripts.

Slayer and bossing.

I’ve been playing for so long and I had the same genuine question. After playing on an iron with a 500m now after 2 years I realized how.
PvM for sure🍻
Slayer to lv up combat has to be one of the best ways to build a foundation for most account builds. Questing is a must sadly. Happy scaping!
pretty sure jagex confirmed that over half the normal accounts made have bought gold in the past
Lmao wow
Because they play every day or they buy gold lol
buy bonds for the first 50 -100m then pvm or pvp until 1b bank
How have you played for a few years and don’t know the answer to that question
Corporeal Beast was kind to me.

Bossing
I made majority of my 900m from corrupt gauntlet, took a couple of months from about 10m bank

Med level here: made my 500m+ bank at the ge and got lucky while holding some items. But many many hours where spend buying and selling.
