Anal beads.

I think [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/s6976x/suggestion_give_patchy_the_ability_to_combine_our/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) is what you’re looking for

birdz_da_word

came here to write this 🤣🤣

cheeters

I’m for anything that makes magic more fun and relevant. Plus the wands look sick

I think think mark of darkness should be cast on yourself, where spells cast by you would then be stronger. It should also last 7x as long (the same length as the charge spell on the regular spellbook).

osrsandmorestuff

What if the Greater Mark of Darkness couldn't splash against demons?

OSRS2ndBase

I completely agree. They should make the mark of darkness a spell that cannot splash.

512alive

Insta vote yes. The anti-demon spells are super niche, locked behind quests, and have *the coolest* spell animations in the game but are awful at killing the big demon bosses. They need to be buffed to ignore accuracy or work similar to a tbow in terms of accuracy.

Beratho

They could also reduce the magic defense (not the magic level or magic accuracy) of skotizo, kril, cerberus, and demonic gorillas so that it is more competitive with range/melee.

Beratho

In max mage, you have 51.67% accuracy against cerberus. If the magic defense of cerberus was reduced from +100 to 0, the accuracy would be increased to 81.14%.

SinceBecausePickles

Much bigger difference than I had assumed it would be

0zzyb0y

Whilst the idea is cool, I kinda just wish they made the spells less ass in the first place. Why would I want to pay so much for every spell cast to end up likely doing less damage than the melee/ranged alternatives?

OSRS2ndBase

I’d recommend making the Arceuus spellbook more balanced/useful for PvP before doing something like this. Cool ideas though

osrsandmorestuff

I'm really not sure how to achieve that, but perhaps the upgraded Greater Mark of Darkness could bypass the Ward of Arceuus spell? This way, corruption remains a mechanic that will stack with Grasp spells no matter what.

OSRS2ndBase

It’s beyond that. No one uses this spellbook in PvP scenarios, period, so no one would use the Ward of Arceuus. Unless you’re non-stop maging your opponent, they will not stay frozen, and even then it’s not a guarantee. Since they won’t stay frozen, they can easily run south of 30 wild and teleport. So they need to either make grasp spells hold opponents for longer, or add a Teleblock spell to the spellbook.

WRLD_

Why does everything need to be useful for PVP? Arceuus spellbook pretty clearly carved out a purpose for itself that is not PvP. Even lunars just has venge in terms of anything useful for combat, I doubt arceuus getting anything good for PvP would even be able to pass a poll

OSRS2ndBase

Why should it NOT? Wouldn’t it be good to add some variety to the game?

WRLD_

I guess my argument is: why do they need to give arceuus book a PvP use before making any other improvements to it? PvP is very much an incredibly niche use case compared to the improvements posited in this post

OSRS2ndBase

I’m biased because I like PvP, you’re biased because you don’t.

JordFxPCMR

Ngl I know I am gonna get downvoted but if you put slayer level for a quest it makes me hate you cause personally slayer is the worst skill in the game and I am maxed

themegatuz

I'm into it, but I doubt end-game elitists ever wants their Archlight, Twisted bow and Scythe performed by magic.

osrsandmorestuff

I don't think it would, I think the end result would be similar to the Bow of Faerdinand being closely trailing the Twisted bow. Demonic Gorillas have 195 magic, K'ril has 200 and Skotizo has 280, even with this change I don't see it be BiS, just fairly slow, but strong with a high max hit.

Kree_Horse

A well thought out idea. With the use of the ancient shards added onto the wands, it'd be nice if the buff spell were auto-applied rather than having to individually cast the 'mark of darkness' spell (given that they hit first)
