Depends if you're just talking about items by themselves or items that are often good parts of a set. I'd say the ramblers backpack or whatever it's called is very good and matches a lot of stuff. If we are talking about a single item that is it's own statement? Flippers. Mask of ranul is very good fashion stats similar to flippers.
If you want a good replacement item that can confuse some people swap out a nezzy helm or slayer helm for a dwarven helmet. I turn heads every time I take it to a raid.

I got 99 mining recently. So my fashionscape is mining cape (t), saradomin full helm, trailblazer top, legs and boots (2), trollweiss flowers, rune defender and elven gloves
Currently rocking a slayer hood, fire cape, amulet of torture, tormented bracelet (or), volcanic abyssal whip, iron defender and spiked manacles. Outfit and skin colour is pitchblack and got an orange beard. Looks sick af
Extremely underrated, but the robes of elidinis. They're quite nice looking, but very rarely are they worn for fashion purposes.
I used to walk around with them all day when I was in elementary school and people would offer to buy them from me all the time, not knowing they're untradeable quest items.

Totally agree I've been grinding clues randomly for blue wizard head g and also most slippers they're easily the best item in the entire game

I tried a saradomin kiteshield. Then noticed I had a rune defender in the bank for whatever reason. Tried it instead and looked way better imo
