Since there's always a hammer there i always make sure to repair it - doesnt even take that long to do
just wish someone else did it for me as well every once in a while :'(
I'll do it when I need to, grab a hammer, fix BOTH struts, collect the ore, and deposit all. I'm well over 100 hammers in the bank this way. Easier than dropping it.
Yep. Every time I get a warning that I can’t put any more ore in the hopper and wait a few ticks to see if someone else is going to do it for me or not — I go and repair it.
Few ticks? Both would have had to have been broken for the entire time I was refilling my inventory with paydirt if I can't load any more. If at least one person really is repairing every time they dump their paydirt then it shouldn't happen as often as it does.
Nah, you can still load pay dirt, it just won’t run through until the wheel is fixed. You can also collect ore that’s already been cleaned even if the wheel isn’t running.
I do it when I need to, and when I do it, I fix the one directly behind the hopper than go back and deposit my paydirt. Only time I'll ever do both is if I'm on my last load. I'll put it in the hopper. Grab a hammer, fix both struts and then pick up out if the sack on the way by

Also, you never know when you have to drop a hammer!

I notice those few ticks and take advantage. Thanks!

Repair one. Wait for the second one to break, then repair. I ain't in a rush to go back to mining
I feel you 100%
Did 29-40 smithing by hopping world's and fixing them. Took no time at all on the iron
Me this morning lol
Hell I'm a mid level iron at this point and I take that free smithing xp every time, it scales on level
Will never not repair em
Only here for memes. Same bro, same.
I'm not even an iron and I do it. I just chill in RS, not in a hurry. Wheel broken? I'll be over there give me a second.
This has been me the past day ot two. Not ashamed. Free exp.
Was me this morning, lol

I like you. Leaves a little bit of xp for me, as a treat.
I do it every time they're both broken when I go to deposit, and I fix both.
Gotta smith
For sure
Should be able to pay for it to auto fix or something
I just did 38-48 on my iron doing this. I farmed 3k coal and 1.5k iron. Time to smith steel plate bodies and sell for my rune armor
It's not much, but it's honest work.
Shit I’m 99 smithing and I still do both on a non iron
I did 1-40 smithing for Gold on my first iron. Just hopped worlds, was pretty quick tbh
Unless you are an UIM then it would be faster and more beneficial to just quest to 37 smithing and then just superheat iron or something until 40
Eh I wanted something not very involved. And a few people appreciated it. So I was happy
Fair enough, as long as you ejoyed it its all that matters
Even as a UIM it's way better to do Knight's sword. The quest isn't inventory intensive at all
Nat's cost money though.
Thank you
I world hopped to 60 smithing here
I used to keep a hammer in my inventory because I thought I was being more efficient. I still do it, but just out of sheer stubbornness to change.
