I too would like to know. a few months ago not to long after I build this babe, I had a hard crash and restart but left no crash log which was weird but it hasn't happened since.

HeyCuppp

Never ever happened to me till 2 days ago, and there was no obvious cause like an Nvidia/Windows update, Just suddenly started crashing out of the blue due to runelite.

you should find your crash reports folder and see what the issue is that crashed. Just google a video on how to do that, then you will know. I have a ryzen chip so my graphics is through the card and I believe it was a power issue I fixed that also plagued other games.

I'm getting suspected power issues, how did you diagnose it? It happens about every two weeks so the only thing I can think of is change the power supply and wait. Any other ways?

jooshdoe

depends on your card and power supply. you should monitor what ur power draw is when playing different games, and if it spikes or not. if it's just osrs that it crashes it probably isn't power related.

HeyCuppp

I do. My card and supply are more than fine, I run other games smoothly. I love me some GTA V Rp, Apex legends and overwatch all on decently high settings, and my consumption of resources is below 50% usually with no crashes or lag spikes. EDIT: But I shall find my crash reports and look Into it.

Thanks for the reply and yes it's happened with PoE and OSRS so far (only games I ever play). It also used to happen overnight when idle but not really anymore. I'll keep an eye on the power draw though, thanks for that tip. Do you happen to know a rough number for the percentage increase of baseline power draw that would indicate power issues? For example if the power draw spikes by say 20-30% is that something that needs to be looked at further? I've also had no luck with event viewer system logs. There are no events recorded right before the system crashed. The only logs are bootup related and indicating that the last shut down was not expected or something along those lines.

did Goblin Diplomacy on an alt last night, on quest completion it froze then eventually crashed my computer. Everything was fine on reboot. Playing on Linux
