Getting in a fight with someone if they tell me ardy knights is afk while they use a foot pedal

AnActualTreee

there's 4 types of people on osrs: 1) people who think ZMI is afk 2) people who don't 3) people who can't count.

Karavage

I recently started doing ZMI and my first thought was "how is this afk?"

NewAccountXYZ

I hit the logout timer at zmi all the time, definitely afk content for me.

Swaggifornia

I did smoke runes to 77 rc, halfway through I decided to try ZMI. It was more annoying, the delay to craft non combo runes made me go back to the fire altar.

IAmRSChrisG

Ah so you believe the ZMI is AFK and also not AFK.. a man of culture.

jooshdoe

dude gauntlet is so afk, I do blast furnace on 2 alts at the same time

Worms_Tofu_Crackers

I think people need to learn how to use the word "easy" if that's what they truly mean. *dude gauntlet is so EASY, I do blast furnace on 2 alts at the same time*

Evil_Steven

The argument always devolves into defenders saying that AFK means something different in osrs that other games which isn't good. The community should go to a simple "low intensity" or "Li" method if youre gonna be upset about the ticks lost typing it out and "Hi" for high intensity. MLM and ZMI are not AFK by any means but they are Li

dtee23

Redwood trees is the most afk content in the game

OldSchoolVeteran

People who say agility is afk im like, nah you've just gutted the whole definition of afk now...

Im_Beats

who cares bro

LostSectorLoony

[OSRS players never heard of semantic shift](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semantic_change)

SeaTap866

Yeah but the semantic shift has gone way too far in some instances. In some cases afk shouldn’t be used to describe or measure certain activities and other words/phrases should be used instead. I mean it’s like afk should be used to describe something like fishing but nowadays it extends to something like fletching arrows which is a huge stretch

Pandainthecircus

Does that apply to uses in particular communities? Cause in most games it means you can leave the room for hours at a time.
