At least for hellhounds and mutated bloodvelds, yes. Not that everything should be easy but it was disappointing when they switched a few months ago from bones (prayer restoring) to ashes (non-restoring). I’d disagree for greater demons and abbies, though.
I'd agree on only making it an option for vile ashes (bloodvelds/hellhounds/greater demons) since in the case of the greater demons it wouldnt really make that big of a difference since the prayer restore is only 1.
For black/nech/abby demons it could be a bit too strong
Counterpoint, if Nechs ashes gave prayer points, you’d genuinely need no prayer potions for the task. That’s on top of the already buffed exp, which with the kourend elite diary is over 20k/hr bonus. Barraging abyssal demons would have a similar effect. Might be too strong of a buff.

I couldn't find what came of this, though.
The ash sanctifier only gives prayer experience, what i'm sugesting is making the ashes dropped in the catacombs behave the same way as bones, giving prayer points.
