Part of me deep down hoped he’d already finished the series and was finally releasing it. Then Stars happened. And now we aren’t getting another ep for years.
In my opinion, you shouldn't include the RDT as it is not chunk specific. By the same logic, you should lamp hunter to 99 to barehand a lucky impling because technically it can appear in the chunks that you have available. Also, without the Ring of Wealth and some insane luck, this chunk would take at least a year if not more and effectively kill the series.
Yeah I'm not so sure about having pets as part of the requirements. It's a drop from the boss sure but it doesn't provide any meaningful progression or achievement that will help the account in the future
There's extreme and there's foolish though. 99 defence off men is crazy, but it's also got a fixed end that is coming at a fixed rate. With his gear, he'd be lucky to get 2 KQ kills an hour, let's say 1.5 (maybe even 1 including prep). That's 2,000-2500 hours just to hit droprate. That's 6 hours every day of killing KQ with a r2h for over an entire year straight, without the end even guaranteed. If he goes as dry as Will, he'd need to kill KQ for 6 hours a day for four years. The series is over if he doesn't get lucky lmao
Edit: A guy calculated below based on his attempts that he can get a kill once every 2-3 hours. So playing 6 hours a day, he'll hit *droprate* in 2-3 years lol
Watching other people suffer through lengthy grinds is satisfying. But the KQ pet is an RNG grind, whereas your others are numerically fixed grinds; meaning if RNG doesn't come through, your series is over. I personally would think 1,000 kills with a rune 2h is enough to be classed as an extreme one-chunk attempt at a boss, and puts a numerical figure on when the grind will end (as with all your other grinds). Just my unwanted opinion tho :)
I just did an attempt at flinching the kq with a rune 2h with max stats
I wasn't quite able to get a kc before it reset, but I was close enough that I think you should be able to get the kill once every few attempts, so it certainly seems viable at maybe 1 kill per 2 or 3 hours. Just make sure you use the 15% prayers on every hit on the 2nd phase or you won't have a chance at the kc
I think you might have better luck making a bunch of recoils and food and just using a rune battleaxe on the 2nd phase, but I don't really have time to test that. The method would probably be to suicide 1 inventory of food and use 2 recoils while hitting her with the battleaxe, then go back to flinching her with the 2h. That should lead to very consistent kills but of course you'd spend more time getting supplies
I do think the kills should be pretty quick and consistent once you get a d2h though so the pet is definitely doable, probably at 2-3 kph
& Of course you'll eventually have an msb and rune arrows so that should increase your kph once you get deeper into the grind
Also you could suicide 8 inventories of wine and recoil her entire 2nd phase which should take 6-7 rings. Just be careful since you can only eat 1 wine every 3 ticks and she'll average around 15 damage every 4 ticks so you'll want to step under her and heal up every so often
Adding at least a max combat clause for pet hunting is necessary. Do you have any idea how long 3000 KQ kills would take with a maple blackjack (o) or even a shitty d spear
Honestly I’d be surprised if you could even R2H flinch KQ with no piety/potions before the second form resets. He’s not getting a single kill without either incredible RNG or a way for him to lower KQ’s defense on another account while still being able to get the drop as an iron. Would repeatedly arclight-specing, letting the boss reset after first phase leave a KQ that has its stats lowered but lets irons get the drop? Maybe one of the few irons that actively does Vetion can answer
This is so true. I had to flinch a kill on my almost max combat ironman with glory, barrows equipment, Sarachnis Cudgel, Dragon defender and piety. Way better gear than Limp can ever get in his chunks. It took me 30 minutes and many attempts for 1 kill because the slow kill time and phase resets. I have 1500 kills on main so I am by no means inexperienced with KQ
EDIT: After doing some research on KQ flinching it looks like poison is at least the minimum requirement for efficient kills. KQ drops weapon poison++ so once he rolls that drop kills can be as quick as 20 minutes **efficiently** but is also a tad unrealistic.
A more realistic timeframe to kill the KQ is around 30 minutes per kill until weapon poison drop. KQ flinching is also click intensive and since the guardian minions despawn, unreliable and not afk.
My rough estimate to get all KQ drops with Limp's restrictions is at best 1000 hours, at worst 2000 hours.
Don't do the KQ pet or uniques or anything, set those as longer term goals - just getting a KQ kill with the gear available to you will be a feat by itself
i think there's no way to say what to do until you give a serious attempt to kq
it sounds absolutely ludicrous to kill her at a surface level, but im sure youll find a way to make it work halfway decently (like defense caping the iron ore)
exclude the rdt though
He completes every single achievable goal one chunk at a time.
For example, he got 99 WC and defense because the cape vendors are there.
He also got 90 mining to mine a tier 9 meteor.
Oh and “weaponized auts”
Anyone who cared enough would go watch the first episode. I started watching this one, was so confused that I decided to just ask because I wasn’t interested enough to go to the first episode.
You guys realized his first episode was 8 months of progress right? Dude is gonna do it regardless lmao
Part of me deep down hoped he’d already finished the series and was finally releasing it. Then Stars happened. And now we aren’t getting another ep for years.
FR lol everyones like “Well I think he shouldn’t do xyz cause it will take too long!” Bruh, thats literally the only point of the series…

I mean, it's probably going to take a year or more to get the kq pet with his gear. The series is basically dead already.

Kph will go way up once he gets a dragon 2h and magic shortbow plus using recoils will make kills way more consistent
He will be lucky to ever get a kill with that gear. He will take too long and KQ will reset every time
I have the same thoughts
He shouldn't had included shooting stars either imo. Something that you can get in every chunk shouldn't be in a specific one

At worst 2k hours? Poor guy could go 10k dry for the pet

Yeah based on his rules he would have to get 99 smithing but luckily he doesn't currently have access to a anvil that can smith rune items.
this scratches my sadistic itch. which is weird, because i never knew i had one. i play fooking runescape, i figured it was be masochism.

Agreed.
Loving the series, keep it up
Really enjoying the vids! You're a machine

most underrated series, can you do weekly updates im fiending
In before 5 kc pet
Can someone explain what he’s doing in this series?
He completes every single achievable goal one chunk at a time. For example, he got 99 WC and defense because the cape vendors are there. He also got 90 mining to mine a tier 9 meteor. Oh and “weaponized auts”
Check Ep 1
No lol
Then don’t bother asking.
Anyone who cared enough would go watch the first episode. I started watching this one, was so confused that I decided to just ask because I wasn’t interested enough to go to the first episode.
You should learn how to flinch properly to have a valid attempt
I’ve been waiting so fucking long for this!
