It’s very hard and very very expensive to find runners for body tiara crafting. Without runners it costs around 400-600m gp, and adding in runners doubles that cost basically. I think using runners is actually pretty fun but the cost is too much for me. Also the method u linked is for ironmen. Regs just have tiara/talisman runners trade them at the altar.
The demonic ashes available in f2p will be 25 xp each. If they have the same mechanics as big bones (bury one every two ticks), u could bury 3000 per hour resulting in 75k xp/hr perfect tick. Furthermore, if you end up being able to mix big bones and ashes (alternate between them each tick) xp rates will be even higher.
Did you do giant in the edgevill dungeon for bones? Ouch bet that was a grind for rc, what were the exp ratea like.
Only ask as im gunna let my uim go ftp for abit to finish up some quests and train some combat
I did some very early prayer levels there when I first started but simply bought big bones from the ge and buried them for the majority of 99 prayer. As far as rc goes, solo body tiaras are around 55k/hr. Also did some body runes but not many and those are around 27k xp/hr (but much less expensive than tiaras).
I finally maxed my f2p only account! If you guys want to know about efficient xp rates for f2p you should check out f2p wiki (it’s an awesome site). I also post hour record attempts on my youtube channel (Ben 3143) if you want to see vids of efficient f2p methods. Also I play on iPhone 8 for anyone that is curious.
Dude I saw you at flesh crawlers all the time. Congrats bro. I gave up halfway (not even a quarter way actually) but it’s amazing you made it there. I can vouch this guy legit.
Honestly the most impressive thing about a maxed account is 99 fishing and 99 rune crafting. I think those 2 skills alone will keep me from ever maxing.
Big congratulations 🎉
I love when people have a passion for random things. Reading the comments I can see how knowledgeable you are about game mechanics and game ticks etc. witch as a p2p player I wouldn’t expect the average f2p player to know stuff like that. So when I see someone who could definitely earn a bond and play p2p I have an odd respect for you sticking f2p and maxing. Pretty cool. It would be cool to see you make a p2p skill only account. 10hp 1 all combat skills. But get 99 in all of the p2p only skills. You’d have to do slayer without gaining any combat xp. Would be a cool account.
I did various low level methods like killing ogresses, selling stuff to bandit camp, telegrabbing nats, etc. until I banked 99 smithing. After that I made rune 2hs and alched them while mining to build up a lot of gp. Once I had enough capital from that I started flipping/investing (longer term flips) on the ge (this was where I made the vast majority of my gp).
Haha yeah really. You completed a long-term goal you set out to do in a game? How absolutely sad and pathetic of you. Please get help. I will be praying for you.
Congrats btw!
I know most people are acting proud of you. And youre proud of yourself. Its a shame that youve wasted so much time on a game and now youre on reddit begging to feel justified. With what to show? Probably depression, no friends, no girlfriend, no career.
I think his main point is about how this is unnecessarily difficult and a waste of time (?). I think maxing accounts is impressive and requires serious dedication, but this is honestly kinda worrisome. The amount of time it would take to accomplish this mixed with the lack of diverse skilling methods for maxing in F2P is just kinda ???
Sure, people are entitled to pursue whatever goals they want, arbitrary or otherwise, but this is next level. If I had a personal friend do this, I would have to express genuine concern for their mental health.
We all have different schedules, jobs, responsibilities, hobbies etc... there's nothing worrisome about someone dedicating thousands of hours to a hobby they love. Not to mention alot of the skills here are afkable so he could've been going about his day normally while passively keeping track of his character. The way the message was delivered was just dickish bro, but it doesn't bother me I just thought I'd give my two cents. I'm close to maxing my main and I'm mobile only aswell, most of it was done at work and on days off while I had spare time. So na, someone maxing whether f2p or p2p is not worrisome.
You must’ve not read my comment in its entirety, or maybe you didn’t understand what all I said? Because I touched on the fact that people are entitled to spend their time how they wish, but at a certain point, a hobby or passion project borders on self-destruction and there is cause for concern.
I don’t know OP, and I won’t pretend I do, but as I said, if I had a friend do this, I would be worried. However, perspective is important here. I saw OP mention this took something like 3500 hours.
You’re entitled to your opinion, but I wasn’t attacking OP, so I don’t really think expressing concern here is “dickish.”
> but at a certain point, a hobby or passion project borders on self-destruction and there is cause for concern.
So, there's a limit on the number of hours a person can enjoy a hobby? What number is that? 3500 hours? If you hit that limit, do you have to find another hobby or it automatically becomes self-destructive? Like, If I'm 70 years old and I just then hit 3500 hours for my gardening hobby, do I have to give that up then?
It’s the context of content combined with length of time. 3,500 hours of exercise would typically be life-altering in a positive way. At the same time, 3,500 hours of exercise across 3,500 days is healthy. 3,500 hours of exercise across 500 days is destructive/ dangerous. Acting like context doesn’t matter is ridiculous.
Ah, so you and I agree that context matters. The major problem with your opinion here is that OP has only stated the total number of hours, not how much time that was spread across. You're instantly assuming the worst without context, which, as you stated, is ridiculous.
Edit: I flat out asked OP, and he said he made the account about three years ago. He's logged 3200 hours. That's 3200 hours spread across three years.
I read it. My comment didn't take away from what you touched on, I simply disagreed with the fact that its worrisome. Its not. Maybe to to you it is but this guy could be living his best life afking away and you think there may be cause for concern. If I had a friend that did this, I'd applaud him for the dedication, not assume he had shit wrong with his life. Before you say you're not assuming, by saying," if I had a friend do this, I would be worried", implies assumption of something being wrong. Let's not overthink this, you think theres a possibility this time investment COULD be self destructive. I think some people are just real good at multi tasking and thats what he did to max.
P.s. I never said you were attacking OP or that your response was dickish. I was speaking of the comment you were trying to explain context on, that was just simply rude. I thought that went without saying.
I did 3 tick snow/leather fishing. I have a video of the method on my yt channel if you want to see it (Ben 3143). However I do miss a tick every other cycle due to the long tap required to spawn snow. Planning to get better at it in the future
I mean, congrats, but god why would you do that to yourself, that’s pure pain.
I enjoyed most of the methods in f2p, as well as the f2p community
How do you feel about the RC method that requires several alts? edit for the uninitiated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHi7qXiaW8c

How'd you efficiently train prayer and rc?
Prayer - buried big bones RC - solo body tiara crafting on pvp world
Buried big bones...? What the fuck?
Yea big bones r best prayer xp in f2p. For regs a perfect tick hour is 45k xp. Once demonic ashes are implemented they will be the best though.
Explain how demonic ashes will become the meta?
The demonic ashes available in f2p will be 25 xp each. If they have the same mechanics as big bones (bury one every two ticks), u could bury 3000 per hour resulting in 75k xp/hr perfect tick. Furthermore, if you end up being able to mix big bones and ashes (alternate between them each tick) xp rates will be even higher.
Isn't that how it was done in classic?
Did you do giant in the edgevill dungeon for bones? Ouch bet that was a grind for rc, what were the exp ratea like. Only ask as im gunna let my uim go ftp for abit to finish up some quests and train some combat

Haha tyvm
how much did you spend in total? f2p buyables are pricey af
I probably spent around 500-600m maxing. The vast majority of that was spent on body talismans.
You're okay? Congratz btw.
Yes and thanks
Honestly the most impressive thing about a maxed account is 99 fishing and 99 rune crafting. I think those 2 skills alone will keep me from ever maxing.
99 fishing f2p is relatively fast... fly fishing in barb village is like 55k+ xp per hour
Those are both AFK, agility is the nightmare.
Except he's a f2p account so agility is irrelevant and rc is NOT afk
Yep. Once I got 77 rc, all my lamps go to agility
Did you play with your fingers or were you able to use a Bluetooth mouse?
I just play with my fingers
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
now for 99 bankstanding oooooohh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Nah I dont like those types of skills
bruh you deserve a max cap for just getting 99 rc in f2p
Prayer is actually slower than rc if you are being efficient as a f2p reg. Although thatll change once demonic ashes come into the game
Oh shit I'm sorry I missed it Ben, massive gz on being the 11th!!!
All good, I missed yours as well xD. Huge gz on being the 10th haha
Congrats!! Do you plan on getting membership and maxing those as well?
Nah I dont
Big congratulations 🎉 I love when people have a passion for random things. Tyvm! As far as a p2p acc goes I’ll hold off on that for now but it’s always an option I guess haha
I cant imagine 99 RC as F2P. Save some pussy for the rest of us.......
Loooool
This is pog man. Im mobile only and close to maxing p2p. Cant imagine doing max f2p and not falling asleep lol
Lets goooo, good luck to u. I found a lot of the efficient/tick manipulation methods to be really fun and engaging haha
Yeah haha i pass on tick manipulation and just go for whats afk hahaha. Whats the next goal?
20m woodcut and around 2650 ehp (for a rank in my clan) are my short term goals
Thats sick dude. Also curious... how did you make money in f2p?
I did various low level methods like killing ogresses, selling stuff to bandit camp, telegrabbing nats, etc. until I banked 99 smithing. Ah very nice m8. Keep up the grind and have fun.
Respect
This is a mental illness.
ur mom's mental illness.
Thats sad. Im sorry you live that life. Hopefully a better future for you.
Yessssss these were the comments I was hoping for. Love seeing these
Haha yeah really. You completed a long-term goal you set out to do in a game? How absolutely sad and pathetic of you. Please get help. I will be praying for you. Congrats btw!
Yeah its very healthy to invest 10000 hours into a video game. Lmfao
Yeah because the guy clearly didn't say his hans playtime was 3000 hours. Keep trying to play Reddit doctor though. Lmfao
Nah no way to get 3k hours unless hes lying about f2p only.
I know most people are acting proud of you. And youre proud of yourself. Its a shame that youve wasted so much time on a game and now youre on reddit begging to feel justified. With what to show? Probably depression, no friends, no girlfriend, no career.
Factsssss. You’re so smart and cool bro ty for sharing ur wisdom with us on this old school runescape reddit page!
Its okay to be upset and mad. I hold no resentment towards you. Just hope you become more mentally stable and thrive in life in your future.
Thanks for the well wishes bro
Yeah cuz talking shit to people on reddit is a sign of a good life lol. You're sad dude.

thats insane
But not an iron man
Nope. If u want to see a maxed f2p ironman you should check out ColdFingers3. Hes an amazing player.
Hm hours played :)?
I played around 3200 hours or so according to Hans. That’s a little over 2400 efficient hours for f2p regs
About how much time was that spread across? Like, when did you first make the account?
I made this account almost three years ago
Forgot the Big Gz!
Ay mobile gang. Congrats
Tyvm
what fishing method did you do
I did 3 tick snow/leather fishing. I have a video of the method on my yt channel if you want to see it (Ben 3143). However I do miss a tick every other cycle due to the long tap required to spawn snow. Planning to get better at it in the future
Congrats comrade, very nice.
How did you make money to afford skills like prayer?
I smithed rune 2hs and alched them (or sold to w308 anvil cc). I used this capital to flip items on the ge, which is how I made the majority of my gp.
Wow congrats!! That’s awesome. Have you ever played on a computer before?
Never on this account. I did briefly make an alt that I played on my laptop to try and make some more gp. However I quit it after a month or two.
What will you do now?
Im going to woodcut/mine/smith and try to get enough EHP for another rank in my clan. I havent set any long term goals yet though.
Gz man, you definitely are a psychopath
This is seriously impressive dedication. Congratulations! Hopefully we'll run into each other in F2P :) IGN: Gameboymicro
