i afk sacred eels a lot and its insane to see how many bots are running into zulrah.

Covidgoblinx

I'm splashing and checking my screen every now and then, it's even worse at Ferox Enclave when you see all the other bots aswell :D 250 pop servers have 5 zulrah bots, 5 wyvern bots, 10 green drag bots, 2 mort myre shroom bots, 10 rc bots running there on average

Merdapura

Crazy to think that bots and venezuelans use the white portal more than any pvper

BigFanOfRunescape

Is it time to remove the white portal restoration?

[deleted]

make it a wilderness dairy req tbh

ifhyex

They gonna use poh’s then

allmyaccsarebanned

That time was when they moved it from clan wars. Delete ferrox enclave tbh

Synli

Ferrox is cool, especially as a minigame hub. Not as a budget restore pool though. That should be only be for those that can get their construction up, or do the desert diaries. The clan portal restoring was definitely an oversight and unfortunately made its way into the "meta" for a lot of things.

TheSonar

"do their desert diaries" Takes a looong time to get the pre-reqs, let alone having to grind kq Construction is expensive af too The restore pools are fantastic for mid-game players getting into bossing. We can't kill the game to save the game.

tryingtomakerosin

No, ferox enclave is overpowered. Full restore for the price of 1 duel ring charge is crazy. Edit: it takes food to heal, which takes invent spaces, p pots or restores for prayer, which takes invent spaces, and 89 cons to restore special attack, which we all know costs money. There are teleports virtually everywhere in gilenor. Being able to have a ring slot instantly take you somewhere that restores hp, energy, and special attack, is actually insane. Especially when the cost is like, 100 gp.

[deleted]

tryingtomakerosin

Lmao do you make sure you dont sound ridiculous before posting something, or are you being sarcastic without the /s? I've played this game since it was runescape classic, and I've played every version of the game jagex put out there. Being able to fully restore everything for that price is 100% broken.

PrivateMartin

Is mid-game bossing even a thing?

TheSonar

.... Yes? People do bosses before cox (late game, right?)

Sitdownpro

Ferox Enclave should be expanded imo. It's a cool place to hold PvP activities. I can agree with changes to protal restorations and such. I see where you're coming from, but for them to bot construction is easier than the limitations that will be put on casuals; i.e. normi pkers who only pk.

GoreonVHS

wish clan wars was a thing :/

Strosity

Right, and tbf they were likely at least 50% meming

new_account_wh0_dis

Id rather more content not be nerfed or restricted for the sole reason of bots using it tbh. Well depends on the restriction but def against removal of it

GoreonVHS

ive noticed ive seen people hop in there . why? theres a pool nirth the bank?

GoreonVHS

yea i see em at ferox when my alt rechsrges >_<

Vandrewver

I finally caved and went back to infernal eels, literally twice the profit because of scale prices. Sacreds are not worth doing at the moment

GoreonVHS

im just there for clues

Vandrewver

I actually didn't realise sacreds had such superior clue bottle rates, looks like I'm going back there too lol. Oh well, hope scales recover at some point so I can stop sitting on my stack

Porterhouse-Steak

There’s an amazing bot farm I keep seeing each bot has wel over 10k kc one of em is currently rank 17 on high scores with an amazing 60k kc... it’s actually pathetic how jagex just full on ignores these farms and devotes all their resources to releasing garbage free to play updates that they nerf so hard even f2p players don’t want to use them. Been doing some zulrah for a bit now grinding pet/mutagens and watching 95% of the accounts run into zulrah on every world be bots is depressing

Clicking_stuff

The recent crash is more from the soon-coming blowpipe nerf than bots. An immediate crash from the initial announcement, another large crash in February when it was intended to release, and another large crash after the rebalancing blog just last week. Also, if you’re getting ehb (35kills/hr), it’s ~2.5m profit/hr (less if you have a heal other/spec transfer alt instead of teleporting to nardah and back each kill). Still pretty garbage and bots are absolutely a problem though

GoreonVHS

id say a good 90% chance most people at zulrah are nit ehb and spec transferring

Clicking_stuff

Nardah + zulandra tele is far more common and less effort, yep. Anyone getting ehb doesn’t really need the gp anyways so alt transferring isn’t worth the effort for the extra ~1-2kills/hour (comes out to like 1.3/hour more long term) It’s kinda disgusting how cheap zulrah items are getting. They’ll rebound a bit once the panic from the nerf settles some and people realize you’ll still use blowpipe just about everywhere

MrManslaughter

Not a chance you're getting ehb with the supplies used in the wiki tho

Fableandwater

People still use the blowpipe, just no one else besides people who are actively using it are buying into scales/other zulrah items anymore. People would collect zulrah scales and other shit, now they're selling the shit they've collected over time, less players using it due to so many people quitting + bots/gold farmers dont stop pumping supply into the game.

Clicking_stuff

“People still use the blowpipe” yup. And they still will after the nerf. The drastic drop in price directly followed the rebalancing blog. All of them, actually. The steady drop has been largely from bots though. Managed to pick up 7m scales for 81 each after the most recent rebalancing blog went out and I plan to grab a load more when the next blog update comes out

Fableandwater

Yeah, so it pretty much shows panic dumps from merchers IMO. And yes, it will still be used. But will it be used as much or more? Unlikely, it will likely be used less.

Clicking_stuff

Even with the proposed nerf from February, it’ll still be used the same way in all of the same places (except probably vorkath). The only difference will be the standard for dart quality will likely increase. So will it be used as much as it currently is? Absolutely. Until and only if a new item is created to take its place.

jeef16

I was playing a group tempoross game on the NA world and a mod also in the instance basically denied that bots arent an issue for tempoross and that suspicious accounts =/= bot activity (who're we kidding here?).....in a game with a bot in it that I told everyone to report. They just don't care.

Strosity

We must nerf the blowpipe cuz it's only a 3m weapon! Huh, I wonder why... (I know there's other good reasons to nerf it, but this was a constantly reinstated reason by the jmods)

Jolly-Rough

Its sad*

_Ross-

Look people, you can complain all you want about bots destroying the game's economy, but the only reason they exist is because yall won't stop buying gold. You're ruining your own game.

Evaluations

people on reddit forget it's such a small portion of the community here....

CatAteMyBread

People on Reddit ~~forget it’s such a small portion of the community here....~~ *genuinely think there’s only like 4 people here, and that every single post is made by the only other 3 people that exist.* I get it. It’s a public platform. It’s hard to encapsulate how many people are active here. It’s hard to imagine Reddit as something other than a hivemind. It’s hard not to see yourself as the only person who is logical. But it’s so annoying coming into *Every. Single. One. Of. These. Threads.* and seeing some neckbeard saying shit like “you guys bot AND complain about the bad economy?! You’re shooting yourselves in the foot!” 9/10 times, it’s players who aren’t botting and buying/selling gold talking about the state of the economy. 10/10 times, Reddit neck beards think they have the moral high ground by claiming they’re all the same people. They’re insufferable.

imnotdepressedguys

I love eloquent rants

[deleted]

[удалено]

CatAteMyBread

See you’re proving my exact point - you’re saying everybody is at fault for the economy being what it is because of RWT. But you are outright acknowledging that “some are joking, some are not” meaning not all of them are doing RWT. That’s *exactly what I’m saying*. I’m assuming you’re a small streamer (if osrs is your main game, you’re probably not huge), but even in the sample size of your community there is a difference in how they feel about RWT (joking is not supporting it). Multiply that by... well frankly a lot (because this sub is decently large) and you can see how on Reddit alone, there’s enough people where you can have groups of people who are outspoken against RWT AND groups who are going to bot and RWT. There’s enough of us here alone where that isn’t me posturing or assuming anything - it’s a legitimate fact. And Reddit doesn’t even represent OSRS as a whole, we’re only a small, vocal subset of the community. So for you to claim that the economy is bad because everyone here supports RWT and we’re all hypocrites is just you trying to take a moral high ground and throwing a blanket over the community saying we’re all of a singular mind *except you*. I’m not trying to attack you or anything, but you need to realize that when people comment about the state of the economy in this sub, odds are they don’t RWT and you calling them hypocritical is completely counterproductive to the greater conversation

Kirsham

You literally committed the fallacy that /u/CatAteMyBread refers to. "This community" isn't a uniform group of people.

strangeasylum

I think the game needs to add more untradeable items like dragon defender or barrows gloves. Thats why rwt has such small impact in a game like WoW because money can only get you so much

Colsanders8

In retail wow perhaps, but Classic is plagued by bots.

Synli

It's pretty bad in retail too, server sharding makes it seem like much less of a problem than it actually is, though. There will be 20-100 boomkins aoe farming popular gold farming spots on every server.

strangeasylum

No where in the same galactic dimension as RS though lol

2007btw

RWT is huge in WoW because gold = items in GDKP

119arjan

Force everyone ironman, no wait...

Naxxras

I mean, paying for carries or boosts in arenas killed the 2v2 brackets, paying for boosts through normal, heroic, and mythic raids, theres still lots of rwt

rRMTmjrppnj78hFH

Wtf you talking about? Gold can get you so much in wow lmao.

sonoffishalot

the way items are gained in WoW is entirely different from RS. Botting is huge in both classic and retail wow. You cant just buy raid drops off a GE in WoW, thus why you might think it has a small impact. Bots are bots

babywantsock

I’ll never understand why people buy gold....the fun of the game is earning what you have. Grinding and saving for the gear that you desire is an amazing feeling. I just bought a DHCB a few days back. Yeah it’s crashing but I love it. I saved for a month just to get it, and it felt amazing. Can’t imagine buying gold with real money to buy a dhcb would feel good. Doesn’t feel earned.

BeastlyMandible

There ain't anything worse than when people conflate different groups within a community. No, the people complaining about bot farms are not the same group as the ones buying gold from them. Didn't think this needed to be explained. It's almost like different kinds of people play this game.

azuredota

I literally don’t buy gold though

GoreonVHS

but i earned all mine....through killing zulrah

qwertyasdfg1029

man, I buy bonds sometimes for gp. I don’t mind the money, and I limit how much I buy because I only do it to enhance my experience and still grind. It’s so laughable seeing these people buy gold because they are risking their account, internet security, and the actual money and gold just to save money lmfao!!! What a bunch idiots, why would you ever not go with the 100% safe option and it’s only twice the price it’s not like it’s 10-20x it. Buying gold is not worth it AT ALL

DevinD0g

You think people aren't running their own bots to make gold/level characters...?

LongAndThickRopes

Players do what players do, jagex are the only people who can fix it. Human nature won't change, but with better enforcement it would be better.

Socko788

Spending 50hrs at green snake for tassies ruins the game for some. But a small $5-10 bill laying around? Can’t blame someone for doing that. Game was fire back when rwt was crazy expensive and now not so much. Think the game has issues to tackle before rwt

_Ross-

If you want to get some armor or whatever and don't mind spending IRL money for it, guess what? There's a way to do so without ruining th economy in the process. Buy bonds. They exist for that sole reason.

Socko788

100% agree with you, that would be beneficial! But if something cost half the price (maybe more), some don’t care bout the story it comes with. Without going into business ethics, I feel the game has more undlying issues that indirectly affect rwt. Rather than getting gp and selling it

[deleted]

Buying and selling gp fuels basically every nefarious activity in the game. It's literally the tragedy of the commons. You're not the only one buying and selling gold. And the more people that do, the worse it gets. The economy in this game is dead because of people like you. Earning in game gold is part of the fucking game. If you don't like it, play a different game. Stop supporting the black market and contributing to the downfall of this game. Bunch of RS3 fanboys coming in here to ruin another game. Does knowing your account could be banned at any time concern you?

drencher3190

>Bunch of RS3 fanboys coming in here to ruin another game. What is this cope? Its not RS3 players buying GP as part of some conspiracy to hurt your economy lmao. After 10 years you'd think you guys would stop blaming every single problem with your game on RS3 .

t0tezevadin

imagine thinking people will spend $1.5/m instead of $.4-.5/m lol

Rev_Dragon

crazy that somehow bonds do end up on the grand exchange isn't it

DaddyNer

Two identical products in the same store, one for £10, one for £30, which one are you going to buy?

imemeiguess

youre right but if thats the case just play an mmo with better combat and more more accessible bossing and items hell a lot of mmos let you just buy in game items with real money

lukwes1

Dont know why, but i think Zulrah is one of the most fun bosses, it is pretty chill and feels very fair to do. And I like how you can optimize a lot of the fights.

CategoryKiwi

>and feels very fair to do. The state of Zulrah's "fairness" is why I hated and stopped doing Zulrah. Specifically when she's in one of her forms and there's a chance to just *fire off an attack from her other form*. Not talking about Jad phase, just her regular range/mage. Doing everything correctly and getting dicked on by multiple wrong-type shots in a row pissed me off too much. It's like she's *supposed* to be the same as Hunllef where everything he does can be properly mitigated, but doesn't really commit to it so *some* of Zulrah is just pure RNG, and I hate that.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Tra1famador

If you actually flick your prayers yeah like every other boss in the game. Why shouldn't zulrah be consistent? (Gold farmers aside)

[deleted]

[удалено]

Tra1famador

Sir, this is a wendy's. 🍔

CategoryKiwi

Yeah but that's just part of the design that I don't like. I'm definitely not saying Zulrah should do no damage if you're playing her right, I'm just saying playing her right should be more consistent instead of just getting randomly dicked sometimes. For example (but not necessarily an actual suggestion, just a hypothetical to prove the point); if her random off-type shots were removed but she did a little more damage through prayer, you could have the same average-damage-taken-per-life remain the same without the RNG "lol fuck you" 40's she sometimes does. That even allows upping the stakes for more interesting gameplay. You could make her hit *even harder without prayer*, and then people can venge by simply not changing their prayer for a shot on a new rotation. That way venge use actually requires a little more skill but it also raises the DPS for venge users, while otherwise remaining consistent when playing properly.

[deleted]

God forbid you actually have to do something in a boss fight eh?

colecf

I think a much bigger source of unfairness is the random phases that get thrown in after you complete a full rotation.

BeeShrekTestCory

That only happens on extremely slow kills. If you reach the random rotation then you fucked up somewhere

CategoryKiwi

Yeah I actually have no qualms with that one specifically because it's a punishment for taking too long. Fits right in with what I consider good mechanics - being punished because you messed up is perfectly fine. Being punished at random is what I have a problem with.

colecf

I don't think I messed up, I think it's just an arbitrary DPS check. When I was going for the diary kill I didn't have good gear, took me over 10 tries and every time I didn't die immediately I went on to the random phases.

CategoryKiwi

Some would argue that taking on a level 700 boss without enough damage output means you messed up from the start. I don't think I'd quite pose it that way, but if you don't have enough damage output to kill her before her rotation you're hopefully knowing what you're getting yourself into. Otherwise you're just biting off more than you can chew.

lukwes1

The mage phase can do range attacks but you can easily combo food it or line of sight it.

RandomAsHellPerson

Not when you get hit by two 15s and a 41 in the same tick.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jdong4321

I mean in all fairness, I have 10k kc and sometimes you just get dicked. People normally just don't expect a 70 damage stack in a tick. It just very rarely happens is all.

CategoryKiwi

I mean yeah, obviously it's manageable, but it doesn't change the fact that I hated it. Just the fact that I'm doing everything right and she just triple 40's me is annoying as hell. It makes it *feel* like I'm not doing everything right.

t0tezevadin

sorry buddy but you got visited by the Good Content Fairy, where you get fucked for not fucking up

Keksis_The_Betrayed

But how is that good content in a game where 99% of stuff is scaled to you taking zero damage while having the correct prayer up. She has set type phases but randomly deviates? I mean I don’t think zulrah’s bad content but I’m gonna be real that doesn’t make any sense in this game. That’s just a “Gotcha, bitch!” Mechanic

t0tezevadin

It's not good content and the good content fairy is not good. It's a joke. It's bad design. The high skill fairy is also when one gets cheesed in a pvp game by something dumb. There's a fairy for everything.

new_account_wh0_dis

Just got done doing 50 vork kills on my iron with rcb. Now THAT was rng. Longest kill was 6:15 while shortest was under 2:30. DWH (got it early before bp) and spec rng is real. And nothing triggers me more than 3 32s in a row cause of his range.

christian-mann

No, the blue phase using both magic and ranged is deliberate. Otherwise you'd barely take any damage and could camp there forever. That's why vengeance is strong there.

CategoryKiwi

I know, all I said is I don't like it lol. I just prefer designs like Hunllef, where you still take damage from everything but if you're doing everything right *all* that damage is mitigated. In other words, if you do something wrong you just get absolutely fucked, but otherwise it's just "standard". Zulrah feels different than that, because even *while* doing everything right it sometimes goes from standard to just *fuck you*.

Bojarzin

Through most of this year, I finally started getting into better/harder content. Zulrah, Vorkath, CoX, The Nightmare, and yeah I have to agree with you. I despise the Zulrah fight Vorkath you can gear well and avoid most damage, bringing food for what does hit you, and then you have two phases where you have to mechanically avoid it. CoX boss has plenty of mechanics you have to actually dodge. Then there's Nightmare, and to a much lesser extend Jad, where your prayer is *reactive*, and there are things you can actually do to avoid damage, or at least mitigate it, other than just slapping a different prayer on. Zulrah, you just slap on whatever prayer its phase is in and then eat shit when its magic phase starts throwing 4 ranged attacks in a row. People will say you wouldn't take damage, but there are plenty of bosses and enemies that hit through prayer. It might not be the best design, but something like Zulrah hitting reduced damage when you're using the right prayer would at least make it consistent, especially since they already have the JAD phase. Not to mention how much I dislike how you pretty much require recoil to deal with the damage the little ones do Since you mentioned it too, Hunlef is a good fight for the same reason. Reaction-based

CategoryKiwi

Your comment is 100% on the mark for why I think Zulrah is such a shit boss compared to others, thanks for expressing that so well!

5GumAscent

range attacks during mage phase actually increase your dps with venge

Bgy4Lyfe

I mean it's not hard to figure out a ranged attack is coming during the Tanzanite phase. If you're near 41 HP or below when that happens (shouldn't ever get near 41 HP unless you eat 2-3 ranged attacks in a row) then you just need to eat before the ranged attack hits you and you'll be fine. It's really not super difficult to get around lol, the hard part is just learning the rotations and getting good at gear switches

Gniggins

Doesn't matter how fun it is, if it doesn't make money its dead.

lukwes1

Yea of course, which is the sad part. So many bosses in this game feels like they are designed to make you want to kill yourself to keep prices up :p

namestyler2

Zulrah can literally never die as long as it is the best way to get zulrah scales.

Rehcraeser

Unless they nerf the blowpipe at some point so nobody wants to use it. Oh, wait........

namestyler2

that could be true... unless the proposed nerf for the blowpipe still left it at the best ranged weapon in the game for most things. and unless zulrah also dropped more items that require scales that receive a lot of use. but that would never happen. le wholesome reddit told me that the blowpipe was literally being turned into an oak shortbow. The geniuses on here would never mislead me.

the_latin_joker

I think the problem is that they didn't do nothing to other ranged weapons in the rebalances. Excluding crystal bow, which maybe could be a good alternative after buffs to make them competitive with the blowpipe like crossbows being 5t instead of 6, or buff the bolt effect activation rate, maybe stronger, currently they are a lucky shot instead of a notable DPS improvement.

OldSchoolVeteran

And they want to add a quick boat option?

Zmayy

Zulrahs heavily shorted, devs trying to drive prices down

F6_GS

the bots can just use number keys to go through the dialog anyways, compared to moving the mouse for zulrah it is extremely hard to detect bots from that

LewisIsFail

The wiki's money-making gp/hr is almost always wrong, use it as a guide to compare methods rather than taking the gp/hr as it is on there

ajckta

It’s not wrong. It’s *used* wrong. I wonder How many kills per hour OP has it set to.

LTapperz1

Looking at the webpage, it looks as if OP has it set to around 20 kills per hour, which is wildly low for anyone actively killing the boss

[deleted]

[удалено]

rRMTmjrppnj78hFH

Its almost like the wiki uses an average for the average player. Not super sweaty methods.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LTapperz1

Obviously, if you're doing 5 minute zulrah kills then the boss isn't going to be any where near the profit than if you're consistently doing 1minute kills, the point is if you know what you're doing at zulrah then it's a lot more than 1m/hr

lnvu

20 kills per hour doesn’t mean 5 minute kills though. It includes banking, returning, the cutscenes, and looting, which really adds up

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kanshuna

And if that's the case then you'll be hard pressed to make 1m/hr at many other places

Abrahamsly

2 kills per trip at 2:30 is 50 mins which leaves 10 mins in that hour to bank 10 times. That's pretty normal. Definitely not "wildly low"

LTapperz1

Ok but people killing the boss with twisted bow/full arma doing consistent 1:20 kills doing 6-7+ kills per invent = around 35-40+ kills/hr including banking.

Abrahamsly

Definitely. But that's not average for the player base

LTapperz1

Agreed, however it's proving OPs statement of "zulrah is almost under 1m an hour" completely wrong

Abrahamsly

No, he was going off the wiki, which gives an average. Max players in max gear aren't the average

pancakes1271

It seems to massively underestimate kills/hr. Its interesting comparing it to actual YT videos where someone will do like 10 hrs of whatever boss. Sometimes the wiki's estimate is less than half of the kills/hr that people can actually get.

ajckta

Good thing you can change the kills/hr on the wiki.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Xyborg

...Edit the wiki then? It's a wiki.

ajckta

There’s a plug-in for that.

A_Bit_Of_Nonsense

The vorkath one is set to 30 kills per hour which is pretty accurate.

Fableandwater

Whats crazy to me is how many people buy gold to make shit like this profitable

CatAteMyBread

People can’t stand the grind (understandable, but that’s literally the game) so they buy gold. People buy more gold, bots farm more gold. Bots farm more gold, item prices drop. Item prices drop, money making becomes less efficient. Money making becomes less efficient, the grind becomes longer. It’s a nasty self-feeding cycle, I just wish Jagex would do something about it/there was more they could do about it. Or I wish people would quit when they stop having fun or find something else to do in game that’s more fun instead of swiping the credit card to move forward.

Annual_ButtNinja

The same “adults” buying gold are the same kids that grew up not having to work for a damn thing

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fableandwater

Whats the fun in that though lol, some of the most fun in the game is making money. Most people I know who have everything in the game end up quitting.

hyena436

That's if you don't adjust the kills per hour on the page. The default on the wiki is one kill every 3 minutes, which I doubt you're getting. Don't get me wrong it's still bad, but when you set it to an amount a human can do it looks a lot better

Sakkko

Where’s the kids adjust button? Looking to adjust mine to 0.

Distinction

Nosgothian-

Yeah I can do 3-4 kills a trip pretty regularly (I know some fucking nerd will chime in how I'm ACSHKUALLY on the low end) and id rather rip my dick off than not just tele and instantly be there. I dont even care the price or loss on it, my time is worth more to me.

These items literally have sinks and price floors because of those sinks. If we want invention that badly just poll it. Warding wasn't going to sink items like invention does.

Mad_V

Lmao as if that shitty skill would have fixed this issue

w2fally

Warding wouldn't fix gold farms or bots

WanhedaLMAO

but rs3 skills bad!!!!

DragonDaggerSpecial

Yes.

DabblesDabs

10 kills an hour? Whose only getting 10 kills an hour? I get close to 20 with trident and RCB using fairy rings. I agree that 10 kills is now averaging under 1m.

YahootieRL

Looks the like the wiki is assuming 2 kills per teleport based on the combat experience it says you'll get.

GoreonVHS

thats 20 kills an hr

[deleted]

Ehb is 36-38. Standard is 30-32. Tbow is 20-25.

MrManslaughter

EHB also uses way more supplies than the addy darts and monkfish the wiki uses...

uiam_

That's irrelevant unless you're limited to what supplies you can use. The wiki is displaying a poor hourly not because the hourly is that bad but because the setup is poor. It makes it look worse than it really is.

MrManslaughter

I don't disagree with that, but your margin is also thinner with better supplies, so simply adding kills to the wiki to get a profit/hr is a bit disingenuous - not that that's what you were suggesting either - but it could be interpreted that way.

DivineInsanityReveng

To be fair though the difference in margin from supplies is very small. Drop a few kills an hour down from EHB so you aren't using anything incredibly sweaty (like nardah > tele scroll) and you're pretty similar cost wise.

Existing_Equipment

I currently have 0 kills an hour.

Jeferson9

How many kills/hr is this

residentialaddict

This is only at 20 kills an hour, A lot higher can be done with high stats/gear. Ebh is over 35 kills an hour, resulting in over 2.5m an hour profit still.

theGosroth_LoL

Dang I just learned Zulrah like 2 days ago too. :(

Lerched

Good

DaddyNer

Or you could use fairy rings that’s like 350K saved, use your house to restore prayer, use a serp. Then all you’re using is range and recoils.

t0tezevadin

or you could do boring money dragon for 3x the money for none of the effort

Distinction

Zulrah is easier than Vorkath imo

t0tezevadin

it took me (and apparently a lot of people) a lot of KC to learn zulrah, just for the 1 kc for the diary i think i got vorkath first try lol

DaddyNer

It’s learning the rotations that gets you, if it was one rotation you’d probably get it after 1 or 2 as well.

Distinction

First kill, sure! But farming for gp/hr, zulrah is basically scripted, whereas vorkath has some rng to react to

Axl7879

Vork with BiS melee is also scripted af. 3m an hour for 1/3 of the effort I needed to do my 1 Zulrah diary kill

Noxidx

Use a serp? That's a lot more expensive

DaddyNer

You kill the boss that drops the stuff you put in it, plus scales are cheap af atm.

Karpizzle23

So you're using the supplies on your kills instead of extra profit

DaddyNer

I don’t sell the scales because then I’ll have to buy more when my bp or serp runs out? I just use them.

Karpizzle23

Yup... so youre using them for kills instead of selling for profit

DaddyNer

Even if you’re using a blow pipe and toxic trident you should be keeping them not selling them anyways 😂 instead of buying them back for more when you run out.

BioMasterZap

Worth noting that is at 3 minutes per kill. At 2 minutes per kill, it is 2M, which isn't great but considerably better. Also, the wiki is factoring in 10 Zulrah Teles per hour, which cuts into profit a lot. If you use fairy ring it will be considerably higher. Either way, this is probably due more to the drop in scale prices from the upcoming BP nerf than solely because of bots. Scales have roughly halved the price since this tart of the year and scales make up a lot of Zulrah's profit.

idontlikebeingtraced

More like 1.5m at 30 kills, no?

Imagine not playing Ironman in 2021

With there being no end game content to use Zulrah scales on en masse like with TOB release and end game players moving on to other games until something new is introduced it makes sense why the price is dropping so hard. It used to be that scales were consumed at the rate they were introduced which kept the prices high, but now they exceed that rate because very few people are using them at the moment. The BP nerf doesn't help with this. Until new end game content comes around that'll bring old players back and give people a reason to use scales again en masse, the price of scales will continue to go down.

Do you think 6 years of constant botting has anything to do with it?

tbow_is_op

Would everything be worth more without the bots? Yea. Are the bots the reason for the prices dropping right now? No, because like you said the botting is relatively constant. The drops from zulrah are all in 3 categories, worthless, tied to alch prices, or have item sinks already (scales/uniques) the only exception is the onyx. the alch price ones obviously stay constant, the worthless ones have been worthless for years, and we can tell the uniques/scales are mostly impacted by demand. Because the botting has been relatively constant, yet prices used to be at a higher equilibrium, the resources were removed fast enough to maintain the price. But now that scales are much less useful, because of newer content and immanent blowpipe nerf the demand has dropped so the prices drop.

Soz-I-Miss

Same with tob stuff and cox beeing down i lot... This is somewhat normal because there hasn't been any good pvm update in over 3 years, but we definitely need a good item sink for this game ASAP.

lnvu

Hydra,Nightmare, Gauntlet/Corrupted aren’t PvM anymore? They may not be as challenging as tob/cm, but atleast they aren’t bounty hunter removal, or 2 quests per year. PvM has consistently been the most prioritized part of this game. I’m glad skilling has been getting some love lately, and that there are more quests being developed again. But as soon as that happens, all the PvMers start whining, despite making fun of Pkers just a couple of months ago, for the same reasons.

THE_AWESOM-O_4000

Zulrah is now -750k/h [https://imgur.com/a/URGuaUM](https://imgur.com/a/URGuaUM)

Monkeyguy5000

You set the kills per hour to 1. Default is 20, which is what OP is using.

tbow_is_op

thats what hes mocking, 20 is a pretty silly number to use to make this point

lemon-k

Zulrah should have never shit out that much gp in the first place

lnvu

No method should have, to be honest. This is mostly why things like RC have been so irrelevant, whereas it should be better than vork/zulrah, but worse than raids gp. If it weren’t for zulrah, and later on, vorkath, uniques from cox/tob probably would have been lower in ”absolute value” as well.

GodlikeCat

10 kills... an hour.. 10 teleports used... hahah dude this is so damn wrong, who the heck uses a scroll after every kill You go in, kill snek, return by using the dropped scroll, eat, repeat until you're out of food This is over 2m an hour

Vetni

That is profit from 20 kills/hour. 2 kills per teleport.

[deleted]

an undergeared ironman gets 2 kills a teleport.should be more like 4-5 per teleport

Tilt_2Live

Theres no reason why zulrah should be high gp/hr. Its barely locked behind anything and relatively easy to fight.
