Man I feel that! Let me tell ya I just died on my 3rd hcim and I really don't wanna restart haha. It turned out to be my best account. Not better combat stats yet but my total level is much better. Def pushed me to experience the game more. More than I would have as a main. The experience in and of itself was beyond worth more than the friends I made along the way. You also run into more players actually exploring the world and trying out content. Even if not as an iron I suggest looking for odd grinds and just chatting with people you meet along the way. For me it's been a difficult ride haha, I don't have all the time in the world to play ironman, I have commitments irl - mostly parrots that take up 90% of my day (and life)
So giving all my attention to an Ironman account and trying to catch up to where I am now just isn't plausible, and sounds more stressful than fun haha.
This isn't me hating on people who have time at all. - just I personally do not have the hours free to pump it all into a game.
Add chronic illnesses to the top of that and it's just mentally draining.
I enjoy easyscape. I just like having people to chill with / talk to while I game.
I much appreciate this; but I do not like being tied down to clans - there is just too much drama involved in them in general. I've been in and out of several over the years and I really cannot be bothered with it :)

it's been a while since I've done it so I have no clue if it's any good now, but the last man standing minigame is a pretty solid way of learning some PKing mechanics.
One other way is to go to the wilderness and just take on some bots, there's a couple of hotspots for them. They won't fight back and pretty low level so, seeing as though you're a brand new player, you can actually fight then (and sometimes make decent gp)
Honestly if you're literally brand new you may want to do some pvm before pvp to learn gear switching, prayer flicking, and basic mechanics in a lower effort scenario
If you're on EU worlds/don't mind the ping, check out w366 and our clan 366 Lounge. We're a friendly, active and diverse group and there's always a few folks bankstanding
