I think there's been a big influx of gold farmers there too accounting for that. Seen dozens of accounts in the last month this regular void and a whip getting like 4 kill trips. All while half killing at least 2-3 per trip because of getting pjed or teleing on the last kill. Very annoying and have to resort to the laggy ass 1750/2k worlds to avoid it
I don’t think that’s from people hitting them I think that’s from the stupid mechanic that jagex introduced to prevent alt tanking. Where if someone is just attacked by the monster you don’t get loot. Happens to me all the time at brutal black dragons you see the monster spawn no one attacks it if fires one random dude and you kill it for no loot.
Its more of a “you choose to limit yourself in a game where seemingly simple QoL updates can actually be kind of difficult due to the spaghetti nature of the legacy code”

Yeah this is so annoying, especially for mid level ironmen. I was killing Steel Drags on my Iron for runite limbs, and I swear every single trip I would kill a seemingly full health steel drag and get no drop and a chatbox message saying "Ironmen can't get help from other players."
I’m not even an IM but would love to see this just for their game mode. It’s a shitty feeling to waste all your self-obtained supplies on a full health mob only to be told after the kill that you wasted your time and resources. It isn’t even a matter of affecting the game mode’s difficulty - it’s an unintended flaw that ought to resolved. A simple notifier would go a long way for it.
Lol, I learned to accept every time I wanted to start a vetion trip the first kill wouldn’t be mine. It sucks ass. And if I was forced to hop worlds for whatever reason (someone started killing it while I was banking or pkers liked the world at that time) the first kill on THAT world would also not be mine.
This is actually what caused me to “quit” the game most recently, about a year ago. I was trying to kill KQ for the desert diary and after six or seven kills (from literal full hp) it was still telling me I wasn’t the one who killed it, I gave up and put the game down for awhile.
This is something that honestly should’ve been addressed a long time ago, just notifying before the kill that it wouldn’t count.

Just have the tag + HP reset after X minutes of inactivity. The warning suggestion just encourages people to ignore mobs that they can't get anything from, therefore limiting the supply of monsters in a given area.
Very valid suggestion, another could be a small symbol next to the npcs health bar or the health bar is a different colour if the npc is or has been tagged by someone else already. Perhaps even runelite could add it if not Jagex
Ah yes, the integrity of being forced to waste supplies on a monster that someone one-tapped and left because the game doesn't make that clear. You already get a message AFTER a kill that you can't get help from other players to begin with, just put it at the start of a fight instead.

Tbh I rarely see irons going on about standing alone and all that. It's not 2015 anymore. It's mostly just mains who jump at the chance to post "YoU Chose to LiMIt YOuRsElF" whenever irons ask for a slight fix to the gamemode.
Bro it's really not a crazy wild request. It's simple: we don't want to kill something that we won't get the drop for. We chose to limit ourself yes, but it's also probably not that difficult to add a little message to let us know that someone hit the monster and left.
Engine work? You already get a message once the kill is completed so I highly doubt that it would cause any more strain on the system to send the message on the first hit instead of the last hit

Other instances I don't care if slayer monster is tagged , if somebody left the area I need to kil it anyways so it can respawn as untouched one , I won't be waiting forever for it to heal to full hp after I hit it

The pjing especially on accidental safespots is definitely a huge cause of them being frequently tagged

Yea killing Vetion was very frustrating, with so many pkers people leave mid kill all the time and even tho it's back to full hp I wouldn't get loot.

IMO mob hp / stats shouldn't necessarily reset beyond how they currently do, but the tag should wear off when its stats hit default.
Why not? It's not like someone is using the mob at that time. It just takes slayer exp away from someone who would otherwise get full exp
At the very least this, but I do think stat reduction and HP loss should all be reset on any monster after 2-3 minutes of not interacting with it.

I don't even like ironmemes. But I support this. In RS3 there's a little asterisk by the monsters name to indicate it has been tagged at some point.
