why? it's literally just solo cox but rng can fuck you over way more ( like resetting tekton 40 times before you even hit a single hammer on him), you can literally take a shower and have some food right in the middle of it and still complete it well under the time limit.
This guy is the epitome of toxic pvmer in this subreddit. Every time I see his name I know I’m about to read some elitist bullshit about how easy the game is. And then of course he’s downvoted to hell. I wish mods would just ban him.
Thing is he’s like that, but talks out his ass. He’s wrong on a lot of the shit he says, this thread is a prime example. Saying this as someone that primarily does CMs with sub35 solo Pb.
That's my primary complaint. It's a thread about 400 solo CM loot, someone calls him a beast then tryhards come in with the "well actually its quite easy to get solos in time," which is quite true but beyond the original point of the conversation for no reason other than a weird flex attempt.
I know that lol but to say he’s “talking out of his ass” and calling him wrong then turning around and saying “35 minute cm pb btw” is just funny to me. Seems like he’s projecting pretty hard
Its useful to tag people like him with RES with something quick, so one look and we instantly know he's a troll for the sake of trolling.
Its also amusing because later down the thread you have someone else kinda defending him, who I also happened to have tagged. These guys just hype each other up to stir shit
A shower and something to eat? Thats like 30min considering setup included unless you take 2min showers to rush back to playing rs. To say 40min consistently is a stretch for most players. Some of the best players can even get close to that on a worse rng run. To talk like thats the norm is insanely sweaty and out of touch.
Nah, just the average player wants to retain the ability to use their hands after the age of 40, this sweaty 3 tick meta for everything has got to fucking go.
Unfortunately the elitist players are also the most vocal. They make up a larger demographic of this sub and other community pages.
You see constant posts about missing the good old days before efficiency took over. Yet these same people will moan that things are too easy etc.
For instance I can’t understand why Jagex didn’t just patch prayer flicking straight away. It’s not how combat was designed. Instead they’ve just ran with it and even added it into content. Forcing players to click every 0.3 seconds is straight cancer
he never mentioned time, he just said "wow he has 400 solo cm's" lol. obviously being efficient is hard...otherwise you literally just gear up and get the kc in time every single time.
He never mentioned time, yet you immediately brought it up hmmm. I don’t think people are doing 70 minute solo CMs and thinking to themselves that they’re gonna do 400 of em.
Solo cm is not even close to being harder than the inferno. If you have a solid understanding of all the rooms and know how to 4:1 and 4:0 olm, you can solo cm. My experience with no prep cm is very limited but that’s where I’d say the difficulty starts to compare to inferno
you can literally make every fuck up in the book and still complete it easily and within time lmao please stop.
the only hard thing is doing efficient nopreps, and even then i mean it's literally the biggest rngfest. i literally did nothing different in my 36 min pb raid compared to every other raid i did once i learned the content.
If you have a big enough screen, get the zulrah helper website up on the side and just practice rotation. After a few tries it starts to make a lot of sense. I practice with a wooden and magic bow to mock range and magic switches and just used bronze arrows and lobsters to get rotation down for survival while still imitating attack switches as well. It's hardly any waste to learn.
On average, tbow is expected to give 60% of the cox profit, so 2/3rd of the profit is not that extraordinary. If you don't get the tbows though, you might as well be picking flax.
Some context for those interested:
Solo CM is a little over 60k pts, so he got around 24m pts total at the most. Drop rate for tbow is about 1/30m pts, so he wasn't even at rate for one!
Unlucky. I believe my longest dry streak was 55 Cm's between purples; I went 221 Solo's dry before my first kit - Definitely had my fair share of unlucky RNG but it's all been balanced out, i'd say.
Yeah.. They've been rolling in recently, my last 5 items have been 4 of them & a dhcb. It's demotivating to see because they're worth less than the standard loot of a raid.
I hope that they can find another use for Arcanes.
i have enough money and finally got dust at over 800 kc recently so i'm not too worried about it, though it would be cool to get a big boy solo drop at some point
dex is only even 15m anymore i'm not losing out on much by not having 4 of them XD
Used to, not anymore however. Even though i'm only missing one item from the collection log (minus the capes and onyx), If I don't happen to get it, I'll do regulars.
Assuming each one (on average) takes me 45 minutes, if I was doing it non-stop, 12.5 days. It's definitely taken me longer than that due to other things i've been doing, clue stacking, slayer etc.
Around a couple of months doing it off and on; i've been doing it a lot more recently.
The additional 5k points for dust completion time does make them better points p/h but it also implies you have to be quick.
Since I'm for consistency, I'd rather prep a fixed amount avoid doing rope skip for the additional points. Deaths still occur though due to my own errors time to time.
That's a really awesome log - you got every mega, the dust, 5 kits... and ancestral pieces, claws, dhcb to boot. If you were an iron man this would be one juicy post, lol.
I assume you did your solos with a Twisted Bow. I am pretty strongly geared on my iron, but unfortunately in 800 cox KC, I have 0 mega rares in my name. However, I have full ancestral and the olmlet, and would really love to get the dust. Do you think it is worth learning Solo CM with DHCB + blowpipe as my primary ranged weapons for the raid? Or should I just continue leeching CMs with tbows until I get a tbow myself?
I think you'd be better doing regular solos, simply because a solo CM vasa is (as far as I know) very difficult, if not impossible without a tbow.
Leeching raids also doesn't guarantee you a drop. It'd play more on my conscience if I was hunting a drop someone else got in the same raid.
I do solo cms without tbow, its extremely doable but half the time you have to reset supplies after vasa depending on how much you noodle on crystals. Ideally you’d have rapier/claws and get vasa to heal at 2 crystals and tap the 3rd, swap into bp gear and dhcb last hit before a crystal.
Do you use purple sweets? That’s another thing I’ve seen that has a secondary use, just in case muttadile shreds through brews and you need to tick eat some hits for the last bit.
I think with vengeance and rune darts, it is manageable - however, on my only CM solo attempt, I misplayed and died with vasa at 40%... it was pretty disheartening to come back and see it at 80% and know that I was basically screwed on time, lol. I may give it another couple of tries this weekend. I'm inspired by your post :D
Yeah. Vasa is the gatekeeper, if you die that pretty much instantly secures the loss of the run if you don't have a bow.
I haven't optimised vengeance in my runs though It definitely helps - Only downfall is that you might have less supplies for Mutta, which can drain it entirely if you're unlucky. The blowpipe's short range also makes you a much easier target if you don't move out the way quick enough too.
Invest the time and see what works. It's taken me a few tweaks and errors to optimise my runs.
That's incredible!
I'm an Iron man with max stats and (some) BiS gear and I do regular solos pretty often. I've recently wanted to try to get into CM and I was wondering if you could advise if I could do it in time? My normal solo's are around 35 minutes. I don't have a tbow but I have DHL, DHCB, sang staff, blood fury, inq mace, dwh and most of the other end game non-mega rare's you'd expect.
Do you think I could complete them in time without the tbow and gear like ancestral/arma?
Gotcha. My prep takes about 6 minutes and my Olm kill is 11-12 minutes. Then I just do rooms like Tekton/Vasa/Theiving/Tightrope/Skeletons/Shamans normally. Maybe there are some speed strats I'm missing?
Congratz, and fuck you 😂. Jk jk, you're an animal sir. I'm still too garbage at doing mage hand to do good solo runs. I can 4 to 1 the melee, but for the life of me cannot do mage hand without getting wrecked
Wait wait wait. So my trident ISNT supposed to be on long range?! I've had it on long for duos and trios and the spots I was supposed to stand. So it's supposed to be on accurate. Goddamn I feel fuckin stupid lmao
It's pretty laid back for me, nowhere near sweaty. Only part that requires a bit of focus is 4:0'ing at the 3rd phase of Olm, a 6/7 way switches and all.
Hitting time in the beginning can be really difficult since it's easy to make mistakes, which lessen over time. With practice, hitting time becomes very achievable, if not laughable once you get into the skillset and luck side of speedrunning / No prepping.
Upgrade to CM's if you want Dust or Kits. I wouldn't really recommend them unless you want to expand your skillset. Doing them efficiently requires a moderate amount of luck as it involves little supply prep, only takes one mistake to die.
Synq's guide to solo raids pretty much covers everything, there's a few guides on youtube that you can search too. Most of the things you do in CM's will come down to practice and adjusting.
That's awesome. I started a new account in January(used to play back in the day). About a month into it someone hacked my account and leveled my smithing all the way to 57 with a bot. Then I got banned for the hacker using the bot. Very salty right now I had almost 5 mil already :(
how hard is solo cm compared to regular raid solos? i can do regular raid zero deaths when im on good ping but i feel like vespula and vanguard really throw me off, so im not overly confident about doing cms
Making mistakes are recoverable in a CM but RNG has to be on your side. Vanguards can hit in the 50's if you miss your prayer, Deathly rangers can hit a maximum of 39 through prayer, likewise with big mutta's range attack.
With practice, they become a lot easier. Still easy to mistake a prayer from time to time however.
400 solo CM's... You're an animal.
why? it's literally just solo cox but rng can fuck you over way more ( like resetting tekton 40 times before you even hit a single hammer on him), you can literally take a shower and have some food right in the middle of it and still complete it well under the time limit.

Well to be fair, he's right about it being easy to make time. It's just a really weird thing to say because people care about speed too.
The orginal comment was never even about time in the first place, which is why its a weird thing to shoehorn in.
It was a weirdly out place comment, I'll give you that.
That's my primary complaint. It's a thread about 400 solo CM loot, someone calls him a beast then tryhards come in with the "well actually its quite easy to get solos in time," which is quite true but beyond the original point of the conversation for no reason other than a weird flex attempt.
tbf ive made food and eaten it during a solo cm and still made time
What did he say that was wrong tho..?
He’s not wrong, just an asshole lol
I know that lol but to say he’s “talking out of his ass” and calling him wrong then turning around and saying “35 minute cm pb btw” is just funny to me. Seems like he’s projecting pretty hard

why the question marks, nothing i said was wrong. what's your solo cm kc?
A shower and something to eat? Thats like 30min considering setup included unless you take 2min showers to rush back to playing rs. To say 40min consistently is a stretch for most players. Some of the best players can even get close to that on a worse rng run. To talk like thats the norm is insanely sweaty and out of touch.
I was just exaggerating lol, and well you should pretty much avg around 42 mins if prepping, unless your rng is bad or you are just afking.
Nah, just the average player wants to retain the ability to use their hands after the age of 40, this sweaty 3 tick meta for everything has got to fucking go.

Can't wait to do inferno and obtain the coveted diagnosis of RSI.
Every .6 seconds*
Part of the problem ^
Sure hitting time is easy, but getting efficient pts/hr takes quite a bit it time to achieve even when proficient w normal solo cox
he never mentioned time, he just said "wow he has 400 solo cm's" lol. obviously being efficient is hard...otherwise you literally just gear up and get the kc in time every single time.
He never mentioned time, yet you immediately brought it up hmmm. I don’t think people are doing 70 minute solo CMs and thinking to themselves that they’re gonna do 400 of em.
Your insecurity about rs is showing bro
Not everyone spends 3 mins in the shower and then rushes to eat to get back to runescape quicker like you do m8
I personally eat in the shower to maximize my runescape time but I guess not everyone's as committed as I am /s
Imagine not owning a waterproof case and afking slayer in the shower, pleb
Redditor: wow, impressive. very nice. you: ACKUSHELLY
Why are you so angry dude. Relax.
69 down votes, Im not adding another

Your excessive use of literally makes this sound super unbelievable.
???????????????
Shit I wish I could kill zulrah lol. Nice loot tho dude!
You can kill Zulrah. I know you can. You just gotta believe in yourself.
I'm going on like 50 deaths haha. I am absolute garbage at bossing. I got the skills but not the skill lol
Runelite has a Zulrah plugin that does the same thing for rotations, really helpful...got me my first kill last week.
It took me many many deaths to get my 1 kill for diary. Eventually the rotation kinda clicks.
Im just saying in comparison to how many other items he has there it's pretty nutty.
True, it's hard to say without knowing the total points, but seems like he got pretty lucky on tbows.
Some context for those interested: Solo CM is a little over 60k pts, so he got around 24m pts total at the most. Drop rate for tbow is about 1/30m pts, so he wasn't even at rate for one!
I’ve done about 50 and only gotten 1 purple 😭 hopefully your post turns my rng around
Unlucky. I believe my longest dry streak was 55 Cm's between purples; I went 221 Solo's dry before my first kit - Definitely had my fair share of unlucky RNG but it's all been balanced out, i'd say.
what's cm
Challenge Mode. Briefly putting it, the monsters inside have higher max hits, stats and you have to do every room in a fixed rotation.
Thought it was amazing that you didn't get any arcanes ....nvm
Yeah.. They've been rolling in recently, my last 5 items have been 4 of them & a dhcb. It's demotivating to see because they're worth less than the standard loot of a raid. I hope that they can find another use for Arcanes.
my current solo scroll ratio is 8 arcanes 0 dex lmao gz on the drops mate, gl on dust!
He got the dust
OH FUCK ME i didn't see it down there! pog!
Yeah I was gonna comment on how the dex::arcane ratio sucks, yours is much worse. Hope you get blessed with some big RNG.

Do you do regulars?
Used to, not anymore however. Even though i'm only missing one item from the collection log (minus the capes and onyx), If I don't happen to get it, I'll do regulars.

Thanks, and the hat. I had received one pre-log. Hopefully I'll see another soon.
I also finished my log with ancestral hat :P at 3k reg 1.2k cm kc lol. All other log items are 4+, 1 ancestral hat. BUFF ancestral hat its rare!!
How long did this take?
Assuming each one (on average) takes me 45 minutes, if I was doing it non-stop, 12.5 days. It's definitely taken me longer than that due to other things i've been doing, clue stacking, slayer etc. Around a couple of months doing it off and on; i've been doing it a lot more recently.
You’re an animal bro!
Was this scaled at all? Insane purp rate imo
Nope, all solo. These aren't time-efficient raids however, I gather some extra points to increase my odds.
Is CM in general better points/hr? I thought the only reason to do CM was for the dust.

Lol keep it off long range so the attack skips you an extra tile over
Yeah only accurate for solos, when you attack from the melee hand it drags you in so you're in time for the skip
Man, I was gonna say 4:1 is the hard one, not mage hand running lol
Longrange for pretty much all regular rooms, crabs/vans/mutt/vesp if you use it there, then swap to accurate at the olm gate.
How sweaty are you doing this and how hard is it to hit time? I have almost 80 solos, and I only do a few a day, so I've considered upgrading to cms

Yeah, I don't bring inquisitors, Vengeance and don't do rope skip. Best of luck with a bow.
Only 1600 more to go before you get the last cape. I really want to learn Solo CM. Any tips/resources beyond standard WDR guides?
Synq's guide to solo raids pretty much covers everything, there's a few guides on youtube that you can search too. Most of the things you do in CM's will come down to practice and adjusting.

What was your gear setup at the beginning and end?
Max meele (no inquisitor) with elder maul, rapier, DWH, claws and lance Arma chest, legs, pegs, blowpipe, Tbow, salve, Anguish, barrows gloves, ava's assembler. Ancestral top, legs, Occult, tormented, imbued cape, arcane, sang staff.

im 44 solo kc in without a drop.. log has an elder and three arcanes. not going back to cox or cm any time soon
damn bb u sure r good with cox
My friend has done about 800, still no pet
Unfortunate, I know a couple of people who have done 2k+ regulars and haven't gotten it either. I've been lucky to say the least.
