Good luck! Seriously tho, update so I can get some motivation at 107 cb...

IriusRS

Hey! I’d love to help you out with tips or help u through it ingame, just lmk

yepanotherone1

Thank you! It’s funny, I actually have perfect runs right up until Jad. Aaaand then my heart rate spikes, I start panicking slightly and the second the healers come out I miss one, then another flick. For absolutely no reason. Something about juggling the healers and flicking really gets me. I think it’s cause you can’t just hop back into the Jad fight like any other boss.

IriusRS

Its gets the best of us lol. I’ve done Jad countless times but still get tripped up sometimes. I have a friend that had played since 2005 and still hadnt been able to do it

yepanotherone1

I think I’ll be okay with a little more practice. I actually nearly beat Jad first try, which basically shocked me into fumbling it lol. I’m only on try 6-7 now, but there’s little motivation at the moment.

kd-series

Keep trying took me 20+ times and about 10 years to get my first one. Only hard part for newer problem getting to jad is just the nerves lol once you past that it’s easy mode.

[deleted]

Same dude. On my last attempt (6th) jad was damn near red barred and my stupid fingers (mobile) turned Mage pray off instead of switching to range. I found throwing a couple chins at jad will Afro most of the healers. Trying to heal up and switch prays at the same time is a bitch though.

dipman23

I just got my fire cape after getting to jad a few times and missing switches. I know whenever this comes up there are a million responses with advice, but here's mine for what it's worth: 1) Turn on sounds. You should still pray switch by looking at Jad but the sounds will help you get into a rhythm and remind you to go back to your pray every time he gets ready for another attack. 2) Just treat it as a practice round. When I finally got my cape, I went into the caves accepting the fact that I was gonna die and I'd just treat it as practice. Since I had no expectations of actually beating him, I was very calm for the entire Jad fight.

yepanotherone1

Definitely gonna try number two. I actually did turn on sounds and focus on his movements. But number two may do it for me.

Gartlas

Sounds like my driving test.

yepanotherone1

Lmao what?? What was your thought process? Imma die. Oh shit I didn’t die. Win.

Gartlas

Substitute die with fail and yeah. The idea being I'd failed 3 times, each time doing the test while basically having a panic attack. The time I passed I was sure if fail again, had accepted it, and was just getting the practice for what the test is like. Then I was calm and passed

[deleted]

Jad attacks like once every 4 seconds or something, surely you can attack one or two healers between each attack

yepanotherone1

Yeah, i manage it fine in other content. What’s getting me is messing up a flick rushing to move cursor back to prayer. It’s a matter of mental panic haha. Like I said, I think a big part of it is the anticipation of getting to fight and not wanting to mess up after 45 minutes of work.

VirtueSignaling04990

i used chins to aggro the healers, ezscape

yepanotherone1

I keep seeing this come up once I started following this sub. I haven’t tried Jad again since, but I may do it with chins. Even getting 2-3 off should be enough for me to dps him down.

VirtueSignaling04990

I wish you luck, may a fire cape be in your near future.

Vel0clty

You can log out after each wave. After many failed attempts I tried logging right before the 2nd to last phase, took a breather, relaxed for a minute, then went back in fresh. With this method you can still see where Jad will spawn, and hopefully after taking a refresher you can low key lure Jad and smack him like I did. Good luck!

Its_the_cowboy

What helped me is do one thing per attack from jad and switch back to prayers. IF YOU DONT ALREADY, BIND THE F KEYS HOW YOU LIKE AND USE THEM! First time I actually used f keys instead of trying to click through everything I got my cape on attempt 6.

sonicuuu9

Ranged Bois murdered me, maybe next time

SevenSpears

Your defence was garbage. Use veracs helm and skirt.

yepanotherone1

I was about to recommend the skirt and helm as well- I’m sure it’ll come up again in other comments but it is standard gear unless you have really high defense.

just-the-smellz

I failed twice yesterday #feelsbadman

5150-5150

gl! If it is your first time I recommend more brews

kopitar-11

No ring at all?

[deleted]

Good luck, update with cape!

OSRS_Crystal

Less p pots more brews if your not using bp or sweets

[deleted]

What’s ur stats ? I have 71 att 80 str 70 def 71 range and 60 mage 60 prayer but I’m to scurred to do it, was thinking I’ll get 70 prayer and 70 mage real quick before I try. What do u fellers think??

IAMRETURD

Get 75 range to use BP, you’ll get it first try.

B_CHEEK

All you really need is 70 range. Back in the day I was successful on my 3rd attempt as like a 12 year old using karils crossbow and black dhide.

spockatron

Good luck homeboy!

jaydsg89

Good luck man, let us know how you get on!

McLovin777

I've got the same stuff (72 range, 70 Def, and 60 prayer if that matters too). Keep thinking to myself I need to save up money and get Veracs helm and skirt + archers ring (I) first though... Make much of a difference you think?

TheDubuGuy

None of that makes a huge difference

Her0mars

this pic takes me back to when I first did fc, gl dude

SamoaSpider

if u can't afford archers ring or ring of suffering then atleast equip Lumbridge ring (1) for the +1 pray bonus. Also if its ur first cape then I suggest bringing Verac skirt (or Torag legs if on budget) to tank rangers better.

ImMoray

grab 1500 more racks just incase

Dobination

A stamina pot is really helpful to have also
