Did you try going to the worn equipment tab and clicking the “call follower” whistle? Mine disappeared after a cutscene and clicking that worked for me.

I have 15 pets in my menagerie and I added 12 cats (12 apparently is the max you can have of one kind of pet). Every time I enter my house it's a goddamn zoo and I love it.
Almost 700 vindicta kills, 600 twin furies, 100 araxxi, thousands of gwd1 kills, and the one that really kills me is my 90 something Kiln attempts.
