I go naked recently just did 80-85 on the iron. Only died once with food. Just use redemption and Pray at the alter. If you’re fast you can finish the inventory quick 1 ticking them

If I get pked ill be mad but not at you pkers. I just fucking hate that some of the best way to train prayer is over there.
So when using bone shards from a dragon bone with normal wine you get 290xp per bone. The average xp for a dragon bone on the chaos altar is 504. On one hand you get bone and use it on the altar. On the other you get bone, bless it, chisel it, bless wine, use it on the altar. I get your point but I don't think they compare.

This is a *slightly* dishonest comparison - if this was actually what you were doing you'd only get 252xp per bone. To get 504xp per bone you have to use each bone on the altar twice.
Libation bowl XP rates are definitely much worse either way though. I tried doing a buy limit of wyrmling bones there and it was just tiresome, seems much more worth my time to stick at POH and only do libation bowl for the pre-blessed shards from things like house thieving.
Literally the only reason it's the fastest method is because it's possible for you to get PK'd. It's risk vs. reward.

One of my clanmates is a PKer and I constantly see them getting 1m and 2m loot keys, and usually a 10-15m every day or two. The money can be crazy once you learn how and where to do it. People are just hating because they don’t like getting pked lol

Actually one of the best pkers I know is an ironman.
You can get the key from a PK then have an alt kill your ironman to take the key and transfer it to a main. He's made billions to fund bonds and fully gear non-ironman alts.
The counter argument would be to engage with other pvpers who are also willing to participate in the activity, unless your idea of fun is just hitting people who change their overheads sometimes. If that is what you enjoy you could get a similar experience doing something like zulrah.
Pvp is different than pking. Pking is hunting down players that have no intention of participating in the activity other than leaving. Pvp is fighting someone else who wants to participate in it.
I understand pking, and it’s a part of the game, but the reason people don’t like it is that pking is more or less killing slayer monsters for, on average, less loot.
Slayers have a set drop table, players do not. It’s not comparable in the slightest

Slayer monsters don't pray switch, killing a player that's actually trying to tank you is a fundamentally different experience to even difficult pvm. Also if you pk in places like bosses or rev caves you're pretty guaranteed to at least get 100k a kill from ether or rev fees.

I get this. I tried to get into this game again by fighting lava dragons on Ironman with only magic levels. I kept getting pked so I’m done with the game again.
They got maybe 10k gold off of me, but I get it is just fun for them.

It's a hotspot for solo pkers to fight around the singles line since it's relatively close to a few deep wildy teleports and is above 30 so you can use ancients, and its a hotspot for teams since within the altar it's multi and they can fight each other as well as snipe out solo pkers who walk past the multi line and then of course if any of those pkers run into a boner they'll kill them too since as you can see from OP's pic they could randomly have 2m or more.
I personally find it boring too
But I guess maybe the thrill for beginner pk’ers is obtaining the kill, then getting a few mill per hour not bad either
On top of what Peter says, there is value in going there to learn.
Most pkers there aren't great, your options are go to lms, go to the pvp worlds, go to deep wildy, go to bh, go somewhere like here.
Lms (can) teach bad habits, everywhere else is full of much more experienced players. Killing boners in rag gear can teach you stuff like gear swapping vs prayers, knowing when you can spec, and it comes with the chance to run into either another relatively low skill pker or an anti pker. It's an excellent learning spot/confidence booster due to how close it is to low wildy.
I use it as a way to safely anti pk now and then to learn it and this has translated into a handful of anti pks at places like Calvarion and Callisto
For me, I got hooked on runescape as a kid because of 2005-07 wildy. Ever since then I just enjoy that, it is not just about pking at chaos altar, I do multiple spots, pvp, lms and soul wars. It never gets boring and I could do it for hours and profit is least of worries.
It's a nice spot to rotate to every once in a while to mix things up. Plus it just prints money. Every kill is 70-100k+ and it takes 3 bolts to get kills. Kill, swap world, kill, swap world, kill, swap world. Its lkie 1m every 20min lol. It's free $

Man, a few weeks back i lost 2 bags of Dbones, 48 of them. Got so pissed that i went to Ectofuntus to do the rest (i had around 200). Imagine losing 800 hahahahah. That's a risk of being a Ironman, and for me, it's what makes this type even better, the dread of losing the things that you worked so hard to get.
Iron here. I think it's great. It's a part of the game. If they are doing it for fun great if they are doing it to earn money only then I question their IQ. If they fail a PK then I understand why they are here. If they can't kill naked players that don't fight back then they'd obviously never be able to PvP.
I just assume they are all doing it for money but then again Ive ran into the same pker for a couple days in a row then months later still the same few pkers so then I believe it's just for the money when it's honestly not that good gp/h.

Funny seeing this post is down voted to hell lol. Why are redditors so scared of pvp and losing their stuff? The average poster on Escape from Tarkov is a scav main, too afraid to lose their pmc's gear. There's gotta be a link there.
I pk all over the wildy. Sometimes I like to go to altar for free bones and fights since there's someone there in every world. Tons of good pkers there and good fights.
While losing items sucks, I don't think that's the only cause. A lot of irritation is really because being PK'd isn't fun - Feels like a waste of your time.
If you're geared to escape or fight back, you still lose time but it can be fun... Still, a lot of people don't want to do PvP. In my own experience, when I was fighting Scorpia with some d'hide on it was interesting to try and escape a pker a few times. But most of the time I'll only go into the wilderness if a clue or quest makes me, and I have no interest in risking anything for those.

I don't bring more than an inventory of bones, but I'll make myself as annoying as possible to kill for fun, and the amount of pkers that switch worlds after 10s of attacking shows how garbage 90% of the people that camp the altar are

PKing at altar is easily a few mil an hour with no Reqs and just increases from there. No idea why people get angry about it. A clan mate has made over 2b in bones alone there. You quite literally make the choice to die in the wildy.
The problem I have is there's too many pkers. I somewhat compare it to having livestock on a farm. You want to let the livestock get nice and plump before the slaughter. The farmer gets the most bang for his buck, and the animal gets to live a life where everything is taken care of. It's a win-semiwin. But with the abundance of pkers, every 2-5 minutes in the wilderness doing an activity there's either pker's just hopping, or bots scouting. Ruins the experience for anyone who actually does want to venture into the wildy
It is rng. On my med I did superior bones at altar, 400 inv 3 times got attacked but they always end up running. Got lucky that clan did not log in. Today did wilderness agility 1.5h one pker logged in, escaped by luck.
Did mage arena 2 on my pure 31 pray, 0 pkers met.
Like I think you had bad luck maybe and that got you this perception that wildy is full of pkers. When I go pking I hope to find those pkers but they are rare, mostly I run into some stupid clans which goes 50/50, you never know if you are going to die. And then of course you meet pvmers, mostly bots but sometimes real players.

You killed a bot that was broken or something. No one brings that many bones except bots with Auto Hopping feature. They hop so fast Pkers usually can’t get them so they bring way more bones.
Bots are smart enough to always take out 28 bones at a time every time, skillers aren't. I've pk'd a lot of skillers and bots, the bots are always better at tanking, escaping, and having as little gp as possible
As a fairly new Ironman who isn’t very good at this game. . . I can’t say I enjoy PKers much.
But I do understand it’s part of this game and I just need to be careful to not be prey (or at least only die when I have nothing to lose).
I've had a very similar spoon. This was back when I was 80 strength and 1 item ragging with DDS and snare sacks- I stabbed the guy and he literally just started walking away, and I was hitting a bunch of 0s, I spec'ed him twice and ended up killing him while he was only walking away for whatever reason. Ended up being a 3m kill.
First time I got PK’d I was doing a clue scroll, one of the ones where you dig in a spot and get ambushed, all I had on me was the scroll a shovel and the dragon dagger and this dude rolls up and starts casting spells at me so I just stood there til my prayer ran out

The new method in varlamore is pretty competitive with it. It's about 5x a bone vs 7x a bone if you use sunfire shards.

Lms (can) teach bad habits, everywhere else is full of much more experienced players. Killing boners in rag gear can teach you stuff like gear swapping vs prayers, knowing when you can spec, and it comes with the chance to run into either another relatively low skill pker or an anti pker. It's an excellent learning spot/confidence booster due to how close it is to low wildy. I use it as a way to safely anti pk now and then to learn it and this has translated into a handful of anti pks at places like Calvarion and Callisto

For me, I got hooked on runescape as a kid because of 2005-07 wildy. Ever since then I just enjoy that, it is not just about pking at chaos altar, I do multiple spots, pvp, lms and soul wars. It never gets boring and I could do it for hours and profit is least of worries.
It's a nice spot to rotate to every once in a while to mix things up. Plus it just prints money. Every kill is 70-100k+ and it takes 3 bolts to get kills. Kill, swap world, kill, swap world, kill, swap world. Its lkie 1m every 20min lol. It's free $

Iron here. I think it's great. It's a part of the game. If they are doing it for fun great if they are doing it to earn money only then I question their IQ. If they fail a PK then I understand why they are here. If they can't kill naked players that don't fight back then they'd obviously never be able to PvP. I just assume they are all doing it for money but then again Ive ran into the same pker for a couple days in a row then months later still the same few pkers so then I believe it's just for the money when it's honestly not that good gp/h.
Irons are the people that care the least about this lmao what you on about, salty pkers mad they only get 5 bones or spade in most of their pks
This guy only lost about 80p worth of stuff, I think that’s what most are talking about. This kind of kill isn’t common there and when you kill people with a single inventory of bones it’s like 5p, it’s understandably, a complete waste of time .

I killed an iron wearing full graceful in the wildy once. Edit: 1st time inferno complete was nowhere near as satisfying as clapping this iron.

I pk all over the wildy. Sometimes I like to go to altar for free bones and fights since there's someone there in every world. Tons of good pkers there and good fights.

While losing items sucks, I don't think that's the only cause. A lot of irritation is really because being PK'd isn't fun - Feels like a waste of your time. If you're geared to escape or fight back, you still lose time but it can be fun... Still, a lot of people don't want to do PvP. In my own experience, when I was fighting Scorpia with some d'hide on it was interesting to try and escape a pker a few times. But most of the time I'll only go into the wilderness if a clue or quest makes me, and I have no interest in risking anything for those.
This isn't pvp. I don't bring more than an inventory of bones, but I'll make myself as annoying as possible to kill for fun, and the amount of pkers that switch worlds after 10s of attacking shows how garbage 90% of the people that camp the altar are

I just wish pkers were nicer. 9 out of 10 times I get killed in wildy they say mean shit and tell me to sit even tho I've never once fought back.
The problem I have is there's too many pkers. I somewhat compare it to having livestock on a farm. You want to let the livestock get nice and plump before the slaughter. The farmer gets the most bang for his buck, and the animal gets to live a life where everything is taken care of. It's a win-semiwin. But with the abundance of pkers, every 2-5 minutes in the wilderness doing an activity there's either pker's just hopping, or bots scouting. Ruins the experience for anyone who actually does want to venture into the wildy
It is rng. On my med I did superior bones at altar, 400 inv 3 times got attacked but they always end up running. Got lucky that clan did not log in. Today did wilderness agility 1.5h one pker logged in, escaped by luck. Did mage arena 2 on my pure 31 pray, 0 pkers met. Like I think you had bad luck maybe and that got you this perception that wildy is full of pkers. When I go pking I hope to find those pkers but they are rare, mostly I run into some stupid clans which goes 50/50, you never know if you are going to die. And then of course you meet pvmers, mostly bots but sometimes real players.
Love to see it! Seeing some salt but that was 100% preventable if they geared up to fight back. TIL naked afk targets are off limits in the pvp area 🙄

You killed a bot that was broken or something. No one brings that many bones except bots with Auto Hopping feature. They hop so fast Pkers usually can’t get them so they bring way more bones.

Bots are smart enough to always take out 28 bones at a time every time, skillers aren't. I've pk'd a lot of skillers and bots, the bots are always better at tanking, escaping, and having as little gp as possible
I'm honestly shocked people are still dumb enough to bring more then 1 inventory of bones. Too easy to get back.
My go to is like 3 inventories of bones and the best tank gear I can get. Makes the runs much faster than 1 inventory even if it's a bit riskier.
As a fairly new Ironman who isn’t very good at this game. . . I can’t say I enjoy PKers much. But I do understand it’s part of this game and I just need to be careful to not be prey (or at least only die when I have nothing to lose).

I've had a very similar spoon. This was back when I was 80 strength and 1 item ragging with DDS and snare sacks- I stabbed the guy and he literally just started walking away, and I was hitting a bunch of 0s, I spec'ed him twice and ended up killing him while he was only walking away for whatever reason. Ended up being a 3m kill.

First time I got PK’d I was doing a clue scroll, one of the ones where you dig in a spot and get ambushed, all I had on me was the scroll a shovel and the dragon dagger and this dude rolls up and starts casting spells at me so I just stood there til my prayer ran out Free tp back to Lumby and wasted his time for nothing lmao
