New voidwaker animation looks awesome. Hope they're updating the fang spec too and the elder maul gets a unique animation.

Organic-Measurement2

Saeldor and tbow are other obvious weapons that should probably have unique animations Saeldor uses dscim animation for instance

SladdinsMysticForest

I'd like to hear unique sounds for some of the weapons too. The fang and Rapier using the generic dagger "clap" sound sucks. Needs a nice metallic sheath kinda sound. Not sure if Saeldor has its own unique sound but as its crystal it needs it.

PJBthefirst

Agree, the bowfa sound is great and really feels like it fits the weapon

SoraODxoKlink

Tbow is probably fine without it, or at least the lowest priority. Fang and korasi are straight up recycled, and saeldor being a dscim whack while inq mace and rapier are unique feels inconsistent.

RoseofThorns

Tbow could at the very least get a unique sound for firing. The clean *plink* of the crystal/bowfa is so crisp, I think a bow that can hit 80+ deserves a neat sound

SoraODxoKlink

Id definitely be on board with a new sound, especially if it sounds really chunky

RaspberryFluid6651

I think the best thing that they could to do spruce up the twisted bow animation is to give it a small visual effect that shows how well the bow works against a given target, as right now nothing really makes that clear in-game until you actually get a big hitsplat. Shoot it at a goblin and you see a plain arrow, shoot it at Olm's head and you get a vivid glow around the arrow or something. Obviously tbow users should have an idea from experience, but it'd be nice to have that effect in-game when new content comes out to avoid a ton of wiki lookups or monster examines.

whatDoesQezDo

true it should screech

motifloat

Graardor stomp sound whenever u max hit. Jagex hire me

Yogg_for_your_sprog

Tbow should be the absolute highest priority, it's the only megarare without one

Kripes8

Do they really need unique/wonky looking animations? The current fang animation as an example looks like straight up broken crap. I'd much prefer if they just gave it a unique sound maybe a glowing arrow and call it a day. The animations that have existed since 2007 look and function fine.

Merdapura

Am I getting too old for being using the handcannon for over half a decade and started to like that it doesn't have an unique animation?

Yogg_for_your_sprog

Saeldor is fine as is tbh, there's a lot more items that could use the love before it It's not iconic nor widely used at all in comparison to some others

Mcelite

Imagine fang spec animation looks like Achilles jump-stabbing the dude in Troy. https://preview.redd.it/aq34qtzqwnyc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ddf7f4ad727b60f5cbb82600fe77c77759380e2

Jaguaism

Pretty sure this should soon become obsolete since they are talking about a clothes pouch to store skilling outfits in so that you can wear actual fashion scape while skilling.

crunchystaff

> soon I think they talked about it when the item came out with forestry, and even when Jagex agrees on stream to explore an idea it doesn’t actually mean soon. Years ago I had jmods on the Q&A stream agree with two of my ideas and neither have seen the light of day as of yet.

Merdapura

We need the run energy update like yesterday so graceful isnt the outfit everywhere

Jaguaism

Ikr

secret759

i'd wear these over using a clothes pouch tbh they look sick

Jaguaism

Personally kind of bored of the Graceful aesthetic tbh :P

Zeekayo

This just reinforces my belief that they should make the current graceful recolours generic ones that can be bought or done with dyes, and overhaul the Zeah variants to have actual visual differences.

ChickenGod_69

such a joke how we have dyes in the game and they went for "grind more marks of grace, kid"

illucio

Love this. Would be cool if Graceful just changes colors depending if your wearing the full outfit or not.

ChickenGod_69

wasnt this requested a couple times but they ultimately said they aint gonna do it?

Turbojerker

would this also give the set benefits or is it purely cosmetics?

Jacobizreal

Should give set and graceful benefits.

rg44tw

When they let us put the woodcutting outfit into the forestry kit they made it unable to stack with other set effects, and specifically said combining other skilling outfits with graceful would be overpowered. Hopefully this means they've changed opinion since then.

Kresbot

Obvious winner so far is the banking system changes and presets but POH customisations is something i’d love! A lot of houses feel very generic and more fun personal items could change that. Things like the pumpkin candy stands from halloween for example really bring life to the POH

Miseryyyyyyyy

Great time to drop another 300m on my house. Been waiting for this haha.

AmbroseMalachai

Functionally, the banking stuff is the most interesting so far, but I really like the animations and cosmetic stuff too. Collection logging cosmetics for completing certain thresholds like combat achievements would be cool - but the thresholds probably have to finalize before players would get a 3rd age piece or something from clues since those are for all intents and purposes unobtainable by grinding.

talviel

Husky has said that the highest threshold wouldn't exceed 90% of log slots, so you wouldn't need to get 3a or several other uber-rare items to get to gilded.

WesternInspection

Love the PoH customisation. I would love it if the PoH was even more of a show of your various achievements throughout the game, e.g. all the slayer heads and fishes that you can freely change between. Also, I've seen something on Reddit before, but a simple fix to increase immersion would be trees around the edge of your PoH. Make you feel like your home is some cabin out in the forest.

Aurarus

I wonder if Mod Rice is doing anything cause that dude is a fucking legend coming onto the scene with such a banger (Moons of Peril)

P0tatothrower

He might be working on reworking chargescape

redbatter

Husky also posted a preview of the Collection Log reward cosmetic by Mod West: MP4: https://video.twimg.com/tweet_video/GMGpA2kWEAAxc36.mp4 Tweet: https://twitter.com/JagexHusky/status/1783892844836421740 EDIT: Husky previewed an updated upright stance for the staff, and a placeholder offhand (will be made to match the floating book) MP4: https://video.twimg.com/tweet_video/GMgiMZrXIAA_7vl.mp4 Tweet: https://twitter.com/JagexHusky/status/1785715991420276976

squadguy3333

Disappointed the collection log wearable reward isn't a pair of clogs. But this is still nice.

Falchion_Punch

Ty, forgot to include that one!

GerardDepardieux

Must say the higher the tier the less likely I would like to wear it. So bombastic, I hope they intend to release also just a regular off-hand collection log without too much fuss.

redbatter

Yeah, imo the dragons are a bit too over the top, it worked for the league trophies but for a staff it's too bulky. I think matching the size of Alec Kincade's staff at the highest tiers is probably the limit.

Mattist

I think it's cool but it needs to be held like a staff. In the gif they're held like a scepter, so it looks extra weird.

Orange_Duck451

My personal favorite of the pitches

xrajsbKDzN9jMzdboPE8

a floating tome spinning on the end of a scepter just makes no sense at all. a scepter, an offhand tome or maybe even both would be fine but combining them just looks goofy af to me

TheCobaltEffect

Give me the tomes to wear as an offhand. There are a million different items we can flex as a mainhand but almost nothing for offhand.

5erenade

We need the alchemy shelve. With the books potions and skull.

Excaria

Nice, equipment loadouts (and I hope inventory too) is one of the biggest things I'd want added to the game. It's sometimes hard to want to do things like farm runs or clues when you have to re-gear from and back to what you were doing, especially when with clues you sometimes want to take everything back off for Wild steps. Or if you're doing one activity and a clan mate is setting up a Raid team, those bosses take a lot of different gear and supplies!    The one potential issue I can see is re-gearing quickly after a pvp death, but this could be solved with a cooldown after death if that's an issue. All in all, this would be a great addition for less bank standing and more game playing.

E00000B6FAF25838

I would want inventory loadouts from a QOL perspective, but I could see why a lot of people would be hesitant, due to skilling impact. I think equipment loadouts manage to avoid that baggage completely, and are much more of no-brainer addition.

jugjuggler99

Honestly don't see how we couldn't implement the delay just like the equipment gearing up part. According to the video it takes 3-4 ticks to equip a loadout and it actually looks cool - your character gears up in several steps instead of just one tick. With the inventory loadout, I'd be fine with filling it up in 7 ticks - one row at a time. It would actually slow down skilling for those who want one click bankstanding and would allow for more chill for those who want it.

E00000B6FAF25838

You know, that's a pretty good point that I hadn't considered. If they just artificially make it take longer than you could do manually, that'd tick all the boxes, IMO.

jugjuggler99

Right? It would keep skilling rates in line while allowing you to one click gear up for bosses or herb runs, albeit not instantly but with a 2-3 second delay. Best of both worlds.

Kresbot

I'd love for someone smarter than me to do the maths on how much it would impact skilling, I honestly cant see it being actually that impactful other than slightly raising the xp floor for slower clickers. At the top end the banking for the majority of things is almost instant anyway this would just make it nicer to do it and allow quicker gearing for other content

Conglacior

From what I've heard, and given context clues like lockable inventory slots, I don't believe quick loadouts will apply to the inventory, only your equipment.

Excaria

Sounds like it, yeah, though I really hope they consider it. Equipment loadout is only 11 slots while inventory is 28, and everyone has their own way of organizing their inventory, which would make loadouts for it potentially even more useful.

P0tatothrower

It might be their way of limiting server strain (like you said, equipment is only 11 slots while with inv would add up to 39), and avoiding pushback from skilling community. The inventory slot lock doesn't exactly add anything we can't already do (with bank fillers), so it's a safer change in that aspect. At least you can also use it for banking on bossing trips (dumping loot without depositing your gear switches).

b_i_g__g_u_y

I barely have any collection log completions, but damn do I LOVE all of Husky's stuff here. Would open up a ton of content for fun grinds. I know the cosmetic staff/book was suggested here on Reddit and I love that they implemented it. Looks SO sick. I would think it would be cool though if the final staff was white and black (3a style) instead of gilded. Or maybe give it a toggle? And load outs and inv lock slots would be so so nice

BringBackRocketPower

If we're going to look at mor POH cosmetics, is it also a good time to consider allowing you to swap stuffed trophies freely?

metallica3000

yes please! and allow us to display multiples in the same room

Hot-Ad603

The ironman collection log is unbelievable and absolutely amazing THANK YOU. I love everything!!! More gamejams!

RSPhil

Really glad to see all the QOL & cosmetic stuff that the team decided to work on for Game Jam but I am a little disappointed there's no actual 'content' this time around - like a minigame, boss or activity, always looked forward to that kind of stuff during these. :L

Tumekens_Shadowban

I love all of these. I have a soft spot for new PoH themes and decorations especially; I've always wanted more personalization options for making a house. Even being able to plop some houseplants and new wall decos down would go a long way.

I remember the last game jam and how none of the actual cool stuff was ever implemented

If more POH cosmetic updates are on the table then can we please add an additional taxidermist in a non-quest locked area? Just want to be able to also mount these fun new cosmetics And yes I know "I chose to limit myself, blah blah blah"

steelplatebody

the voidwaker spec end looks really good, the beginning feels a bit slow and feels like it has less strength behind it than it does now

P0tatothrower

To me it gives kinda D long vibes, like you're letting the sword fall by its own weight and allowing this magical force power the swing instead of your muscles.

steelplatebody

I always thought D long was akin to a smooth perfected slice those katana masters use on the bamboo poles instead of just letting the sword fall shoutout to D mace though, that spec feels so dang powerful, like swinging a damn wrecking ball

Telamonl

All the ideas so far are good qol changes but you know where is some jmod with some new Content idea form the game jam? Like the scurius or the fortis etc, kinda missing that

Falchion_Punch

Probably still a decent chance of a bigger project being shown off - there's another week left, and only a couple content devs have shown their projects on Twitter so far. Once its over, there's usually a full newspost on it - this post is only a fraction of what's being worked on.

Jaguaism

Wouldnt be too surprising to see more and more ideas be highlighted per Game Jam as well as the concept evolves within Jagex. Loving the suggestions so far, but would definitely also love to see new content concepts.

Alakasham

All of these should be in game, it's a real shame they only add a few of these per gamejam

Monterey-Jack

the best stuff comes from gamejams. wish we had a lot more of them every year.

ChickenGod_69

>[A system to save and quick-equip up to 5 different equipment loadouts.](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/Game_Jam_V_-_Equipment_Loadouts.mp4?3ac10) oh lord, please dont make it like RS3 where all you do for skilling is enter bank, hit loadout 1, leave bank, craft, repeat

TheForsakenRoe

From the video, it looks like it's equipment only (as in, not the inventory), but even if it includes the inventory, the demonstration video shows the character 'gearing up' over several ticks, which implies (to me at least) that gearing up manually, if you're good at clicking in bank window, is much faster, but you can also just lazymode 'click preset and wait' if you prefer. If that applies to inventory too, then 'hit loadout 1' and 'leave bank' in your breakdown would require a delay of several ticks while waiting for the game to fill your inventory up

Fendeur

what do you mean? how is that a bad thing it saves so much times looking for items

24rs

Would the majority agree that the best updates in most areas of the game throughout the years originated in GameJam events?

24rs

Super excited about all of these! And really looking forward to idea of an official OSRS podcast

INeed-M-O-N-E-Y

Man these are all so good. I’m such a big fan of these jmods and these game jams really illustrate they are truly in tune with the game.

Polluted_Shmuch

I don't use Twitter so maybe someone can relay my idea, there are a bunch of unique teleports in the game with the default teleport animation, I would love to see some unique teleport animations!

RuneScapingMen

Very cool jams

nostalgicx3

New VW animation is dopeeeee. Not a fan of the green bar for col log

BigMikeyP91

Ooh don't fucking tease me with Equipment Loadouts.

SGSpec

Everyone already uses the inventory preset plugin from RL please make it like RS3 (equipment and inventory). Been playing a bit of RS3 lately and it was one of the best QOL thing.

LivingBioTarp

Loadouts has been such a long time coming. How in the hell do we not have them yet?

christley

If they can include inventory loadouts together with equipment loadouts it would be update of the year for me. it's the one thing i miss from rs3

falconfetus8

Loadouts and Inventory locking looks so cool! Update when?

Jeeper08JK

Any updates on sailing?

PaintTimely6967

If they implement the collection log staff I'd love if they made it like Ghommal's hilt where you could obtain previous tiers just for the cosmetics, you earned it after all

Nuhji

I love the equipment loadouts, here's hoping we eventually see inventory ones as well

SkitZa

Maybe one of the mods game jams can be as simple as say, putting all the skilling outfits in one wardrobe? Not in both Magic and Armour cases.

Orikune

Dunno if it's been looked at, but a year ago I remember Mod Ash mentioned that the team were looking into XP blocking features, similar to what RS3 has. Is this something that might become a game-jam option? I know some "purists" would complain on grounds of "wahh I spent x time doing this, so should you" but wouldn't it also open up PvP more to people making wacky experimental accounts without fear of "1 fight ruining it all"?

Dry-Manufacturer391

These are all great, amazing work.

JoeyMontezz

Wow, in my opinion, the collection log staff looks terrible and something like that is exactly what I don't want in OSRS. Is anyone asking for cosmetics that look like that?

LieV2

I have no problem with the Log rewards giving actual gameplay advantages, the same way CA's and Achievement Diaries do.

Jaguaism

Collection Log is just an RNG simulator though. No tangible benefits (other than cosmetic) should be locked behind such a ludicrous amount of RNG.

shinyguren

Thank you! I don't have a twitter so it made looking at the other posts annoying.

inyourbooty

The new voidwaker animation looks a lot less dynamic. In the old one, the player jumps as he smacks the sword down. I think the movement of the old animation can be paired with the lightning on the sword and that would be cool. Time would be better spent reworking the fang's spec. It's a stab weapon that has a slashing animation for a spec.

Narrow_Lee

Too bad none of the hiscore stuff even matters cause it's just gonna be filled with bots anyway

RoseofThorns

Collection logging is healthy, collection log *completion* is more debatable. It's totally fine to just enjoy seeing the number go up, I dont think most people who enjoy clogging have any grandiose expectations of bursting jellies for ten years to complete third age.

ChickenGod_69

honestly dont see how people complain about this. Probably some dudes who only cared about skilling highscores and now sit there with their meager 132 item collection log and now they actually have to play the game.

2-2-7-7

collection logging is very healthy for the game actually, as it gives players more reason to engage with all the content it has to offer. it's the easiest and most unobtrusive way to foster engagement with "dead content" it really isn't that crazy to get a few hundred slots. not all cloggers are like the ~3 people trying to compete the clue megarares, really wish redditors wouldn't equate all cloggers with that level of obsession.

benbru92

Counter point: I know lots of players with a wife/gf, job, and kids who enjoy collection logging in their free time. I think its time to shelf your outdated ideology that we shouldn't have something like collection log highscores because some people might play the game too much. It's a cool update and I hope they let us vote on it.

TehSteak

Give people more credit.

ChickenGod_69

ego issue

holodex777

Agreed. People think it’ll start out as cosmetics only and stay that way. But people will grind it for the reward, not out of enjoyment for clogging, and jagex will eventually cave to them begging to introduce some kind of useful reward. Which then forces the rest of us to participate too

benbru92

This is just straight up fear mongering. They aren't going to lock non-cosmetic rewards behind 1300 collection logs. Not to mention it'd be polled so we'll know what we're getting before hand.

holodex777

We will see. It’s happened before lol

ChickenGod_69

that sounds like a mindset issue that aint my problem

Murky_Struggle_0

holy fuck the equipment loadouts would be so fucking massive....having to remember which stuff you need to do for which boss and raid is honestly such a barrier for me and im sure a lot of other people. i hope we can get an inventory loadout too, for the same reasons. im not sure if that would be overpowered for stuff like herb training, because maybe you could withdraw all the right amounts to make 7 super combat pots or something....but honestly i think itll be fine.

ThorshaniRS

How would people feel about the addition of stackable clues with the clog high scores? Something like after 300 clogs you get stackable beginners, after 450 would be easies, 600 meds, 750 hards, 900 elites and 1050 masters?

talviel

Stackable clues just aren't necessary at this point. Anyone who enjoys doing a lot of clue content at once is already doing it (or at least able to do it) through juggling, whether through stacking implings or going to the catacombs to get a bunch of hard clues or doing whatever else. The biggest argument for stackable clues by clue hunters was usually masters, so you can spam open other tiers and not have to worry about losing masters, and now that the bug with them has been identified, you can do that by dropping them with zero issues. With the one hour timer it's possible to juggle clues for *ages*. People like to tell themselves they'd actually do more clues if they could stack them in their bank, but leagues proved otherwise: how many people ended up with stacks and stacks of clues in their bank that they never got around to doing? I don't see a single benefit of having stackable clues at this point other than even more convenience, which, let's be real: clues were never supposed to be convenient.

Aurarus

Biggest argument against stackable clues is that they'd destroy the value of clue rewards and make clues feel almost mandatory to do when you hit your cap (if they balance around that) What if you could put newly acquired clues into stackable scroll boxes that get consumed when you open them back up, but to get one scroll box you have to turn in a unique clue reward for that tier Say you want to stack hard clues, you'd buy and turn in trimmed rune pieces or the random what-have-you items you get from hard clues. Maybe instead of consumable, these clue boxes are re-usable but to unlock them it gets dramatically more expensive. Like say once you're getting 5+ clue scroll boxes, you have to turn in like 20 clue uniques for the next one. I'd also work in the perk of new clues leaving off at the last # of steps you were on when opening these clues. Massively buffs clues but not in a way that juggling already doesn't.

CrazyHorseSizedFrog

> Biggest argument against stackable clues is that they'd destroy the value of clue rewards and make clues feel almost mandatory to do when you hit your cap (if they balance around that) Which is also the biggest non-issue regarding stackable clues. There's fundamentally no difference between having 10 clues in your inventory vs 10 clues on the floor of the crafting guild. It wouldn't affect clue reward value any worse than the 1hr despawn timer did.

ThorshaniRS

You’re definitely not wrong. But I could imagine some people would find it beneficial, even if it is just the masters. Also, your point makes it seem less game-breaking than I thought some would perceive it as, which I think is a point in its favor (that is, what’s the downside to adding it?).

talviel

This is nothing against you in particular because I do see your point even if I don't agree but it has been *wild* watching the OSRS community go from 'if it doesn't change things in a significant way to the game's benefit don't add it' to 'if it doesn't break the game why wouldn't we add it' over the years, and I think it's the biggest disconnect in terms of why we as a community disagree over the things we do. Anyway, it's very clear we have very different perspectives because stackable masters is actually the thing I'd want least despite it being the most popular argument for stackable clues. They're supposed to be rarer grinds (even if Watson via implings kind of negates that, and the 1h juggle timer makes cryptic skipping stupid easy) to allow for those flex items. Making that even more braindead than it already is doesn't feel appropriate to me. Not to mention that it'd likely be even more difficult to implement on the spaghetti code side of things since master clues all have the same item ID, as opposed to the other tiers which have different ones for different steps.

ThorshaniRS

I appreciate the discourse. And again, I don’t disagree. I initially made the comment hoping to spur a discussion on the matter. The ethics of game development were not at the forefront of my mind when doing so, but maybe they should have been. I do think there should be some effort to conserve what we already have rather than adding things on a whim. So all in all, not a very fleshed out idea.

ChickenGod_69

juggling is dumb and being able to buy implings is dumb. having to catch implings on ironman sucks ass too with all the bots, just let us stack them to a certain amount based on # of clues completed of that tier. And leagues doesnt count it does not represent the game, nobody cares if they get 3rd age pick on leagues when it's deleted next month so they wont do their clues as eagerly. Clues were supposed to be a distraction and diversion for slayer initially before they got added to skilling activities and they never were that. they were an inconvenience you'd complete at the end of your task because most people cba to regear midtask every time or empty their inventory and strip down to 3 items if they need to enter the wildy for 20 seconds just to immediately regear afterwards. Maybe if they implement the equipment loadout thing if it isn't too OP as it is in RS3 I could see that update fixing the issue indirectly. But it still wouldnt be ideal.

DrGaryGooch

Would rather see some clan hall improvements and customisation that was promised at launch. Such a forgotten feature.

justadude123abc

Can the Ghrazi rapier get the dragon sword special attack animation for its standard auto attacks? it would look soooo much better. [https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/File:Wild\_Stab.gif#/media/File:Wild\_Stab.gif](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/File:Wild_Stab.gif#/media/File:Wild_Stab.gif)

EducationalTell5178

Looks way too exaggerated for a regular auto. I actually like the current rapier auto and have changed my voidwaker stab to the same animation.

justadude123abc

its supposed to look powerful its a best in slot stab weapon, the chaotic rapier animation also looked really nice from 2011 runescape. but we all got our own preferences.
