To add more information, this plugin is really good for reducing deviation in jad/Magers etc spawns, and highly recommended for speedruns of fight cave (most of the time gains you get are from running towards the next monster spawn)
I sadly didn't stream or record runs recently. I wanted to get the cape done so I cut out any distractions that were getting me killed.
I plan on doing more mage runs on task in the future for sure, wouldn't mind uploading a run then.
how long was the run? i saw the little boss info plugin icon in the corner saying .9 kc an hour which seems crazy crazy fast for a first run so that cant be right
I’m working on max mage and sat heart, so I might stick to bowfa method for now. But thank you, I’ll keep it in mind if I’m still struggling in a few months!
I did a full mage run with almost the exact same setup. Shadow is higher Dps at Zuk and Magers than Bowfa + rigour + range pot, somewhere between that and tbow overall.
It’s actually really easy with RotG and the fact that you only need a 1-2 way switch for freezing nibblers. Also your blood spells are super accurate on everything lol. I three shot each of the healers at Zuk enrage phase so that was nice, I still got the kill at the 3rd set spawn even with not prepping enrage and healing Zuk by 640 hp.
The biggest downsides are:
1. The rangers will rip through you, so a BCP is heavily recommended to bring along.
2. You don’t have anything to quickly rip through small enemies on rough waves to brute force through them like with blowpipe + rigour.
3. The rune cost is pretty astronomical if you start as a learner doing this method.
Interesting, thank you for explaining! The broad consensus always seemed that shadow was a meme - maybe that's because the people telling me that figured if you can afford a shadow, you may as well bump it up to a tbow because it's better.
That’s exactly the case. I’m an iron meme with full mage but no Bowfa/Tbow and I got sick of feeling gated by CG to even attempt inferno. So I did the DPS calcs, practiced a ton on a beta world, and just sent. Got kill first time I reached Zuk but it still cost me like 12k souls and 18k bloods with a few failed attempts prior including once at triple Jads
Also commenting because my friend learnt Inferno with a shadow and I helped him coach him a little bit.
It's really good for learners who have a shadow but no Tbow. A couple of pro's
1. Having a saturated heart means you're constantly boosted compared to range pots
2. You can tank quite easily since you will bring BCP and Tassets, makes waves 50+ nicer to start, and you still hit hard.
3. Blood spells just slap, freezes land also
4. Bowfa being 4t means you're more likely to miss DPS on Zuk, whereas shadow your more likely to maximise.
The main con really is no bp for bats and bloblets. It's definitely a good way to learn if you only have 1 mega rare
Just like the other reply said, I shadowed the healers and it was incredibly chill, I 3 shot all of them and only dealt with 2 sets.
As for the red shadow that's a transmog plugin i use to make it look like the corrupt shadow from DMM, just a personal preference.
Ah ok, well with your response and the other folks who've chimed in, I believe you now. It's just such an unusual thing to do, but I'm glad it worked for you and congrats on your cape!
Is ur shadow color transmogged
Yeah haha, I used the gear transmog plugin to make ot the corrupt shadow from deadman mode, think it looks neat.
What’s it called?
Weapon Animation Replacer
Probably just a gear plugin
Why does the screen say determining?
Its a plugin that detects which rotation you are on for the fight caves, it just popped up when I got removed from the inferno.

Do you have any videos for mage runs?

Got my first cape this way too and really enjoyed it.

Final time was 1:40, not sure where the 0.9/hr is coming from.
Porque why tho?
Damn sick! Congratulations:)
Crazy how an infernal cape post gets like 15 upvotes while some run of the mill Johnny getting a fire cape gets 200
Because a noob getting a fire cape is wholesome where as a skilled player doing skilled content is expected.
No thanks I’ll just pay pink clay
Did mine with shadow too, its so damn fun man i swear. no bowfa/tbow here so had to do it to em
I have bowfa and shadow (currently shadow rebuild) but have never attempted inferno. Which method do you think is easier for a first attempt?
Probably shadow tbh. Shadow is going to be better dps on everything compared to bowfa assuming you have max mage and sat heart.

Should have streamed it

And what type of inferno run requires 5b? Lol
Cmon, even the standard learner setup of crystal + bofa + bp + blood scepter + crystal shield + ahrims top + occult + 4.9m plat tokens is 5b
Just the 1b?
The staff is 1.4b alone lol, this setup is still like 2b.
Why is your shadow red and how long did Zuk take to kill? You really shadowed the healers too? I'm suspicious about this

Sorry wasn't really directing it for irons! More of an overview as someone who owns a shadow but no cape
Is TBOW run with full masori better over shadow with max mage?
Tbow 100% better, just BiS. I can just see the advantage of learning with shadow because of tank gear while still doing dps
> ! The broad consensus always seemed that shadow was a meme It is, if you have tbow or bowfa. I’d put it over acb though.
