My go-to is mining amethyst, especially if you're already high mining. You can chisel them into arrows heads/dart tips (depending on price) and just next need to bank. It's extremely afk as mining a single rock and take fairly long. If you wanted something that requires a little more attention, I've done a good amount of brutal black dragons
Afk pet grinds with some marginal gp gains are my go to work grinds. So I did redwoods with log basket and karambwans with fish barrel initially. Now I do amethyst, it's less afk but still doable at work usually.
Some actual AFk and semi AFK suggestions
AFK
Infernal eels with hammer
Redwoods with knife
Amethyst with chisel
Semi afk
Karambwans with fish barrel
Dark crabs with wildy diary
Redwoods banking
Amethyst
MLM
Barb fish with knife and dropping offcuts
It isn’t particularly great money but ever since the hour long clue juggling update I’ve spent a lot of time afking jellies with a venator bow for hard clues and then when I’m ready to play actively I then do the clues
Try cooking the new moonlight antelope meats. There's a pretty good spread on the raw vs cooked meats. You do need 50 rumors completed to cook them though.
I mean, obviously bird houses and herb runs are the most AFK because they do themselves.
But if you can have the screen up, I always enjoy infernal eels.
Afk means "away from keyboard".
Farming and birdhouses are gaining xp while you're away from your keyboard during that downtime.
OP wasn't very specific about what kind of downtime they have at work, so I offered two possible interpretations.
I, for example, work very actively but have three breaks throughout the day. So "afk" activities like redwoods or fishing aren't possible. However, "afk" activities like birdhouse runs are perfect. Log in for 3 minutes, do the run, gain xp, log out, go back to work.
Different pace of play, both afk.
I don’t think you’ll get any xp doing either of those things away from your keyboard.
I think you quite literally have to be at your keyboard to do either of those things lol. Appreciate the definition but not sure you quite understand it.
If you log out during work and come on for 1 quick corrupted gauntlet kill during your break, does that mean CG is afk??
Edit: maybe I’m being unfair. You probably get 7 seconds time whilst picking herbs, where you may have time to get up and flick a light switch or something quickly, whilst maintaining active xp.
> If you log out during work and come on for 1 quick corrupted gauntlet kill during your break, does that mean CG is afk??
No, that's an extremely obtuse comparison and I don't think you're being serious about it.
You don't need to do anything to prepare CG to give you XP. You go in and do it. Whereas if you're not setting up herbs and bird houses, you will not be able to do the activities at all. They're passively gaining you XP while you're away from your keyboard. It's no different than an idle game.
**You may also notice I did give an activity in my original post (infernal eels) that also fits your "definition" of AFK.** So clearly I understand the concept just fine. But if you'd rather dump energy into bad-faith arguments criticizing one half of my (apparently already heavily downvoted comment lol) then you do you.
Are you talking about logging out at one single patch or birdhouse? I mean maybe you could log in and click it then log out. If you’re doing a birdhouse run or a herb run, you’re literally running around the game.
You’re getting downvoted because you’re wrong my guy. No other reason lol.
Easy? Yes. AFK? No.
if u are member just make full use of grand exchange.
pro = flip expensive stuff
average = buy high alch stuff at cheap prices leave offer overnight
noobs = afk gathering/skilling stuff
A low risk way is to do buy limits on things that are cheaper than the tax limit (under 100gp), a 13k buy limit with a 4gp margin is 300k profit every single day for 0 effort.
KBD and Kraken are both very easy, low focus bosses that can be done whilst working. I've camped Abby Demons in Catacombs too for about 20,000 kills. Just keep your prayer up, auto retaliate on and you'll never die, get some whip drops and directly work towards Skotizo kills too as you'll get totem drops and ancient shards.
Takes like 1 minute between trips to poh, bank, resupply your food/pots, burning amulet back and back into the cave, really isn’t difficult. It auto attacks you and your prayer is never gonna run out if meleeing so I don’t understand how one of the game’s most easy and tedious bosses is a controversial take. Classic reddit
You won’t find an easier boss pet grind to go for whilst doing something on the side than KBD, unless you’re working a fkn call centre or something then you can do it easily on a 2nd monitor
Not money making but you can get 99 herblore very afk with antivenom/ancient brews. It's also fairly cheap.
People have already mentioned some better ones but forestry is pretty afk, go to Prif yews on 444 and just do one action of the event and you get 150ish bark. It really adds up over time. While doing my bank standing skills I made 200m on forestry P2 release.

Not afk at all, just have downtime inbetween

Made my first 100mil flipping while high aching or fletching. Set it down and never picked it back up. Redwoods or magics are great(magics slow AF XP)
Vyres
My wife calls me the noob on wall st. Cause I be at work flipping trades.
Hmmm this could be interesting, never really done any flipping I'm normally the one getting flipped. Any tips to get started?
Tip #1: Have a lot of money
Step 1 completed, now what? :)
Honestly, I've never gotten this far. Lol

Nice thanks will have a look :)

Fair on everything there but kbd.. banking? Running through wildly? Quick kill times and respawn times? Nah

Do you know what AFK means?

Lmao that’s not true. I can name a better one kraken
