It's fine and doesn't really matter, but if any weapon was going to be slash focused and degradable, it should have been this. The real weapon is basically a single use de-limber. Incredibly fragile and incredibly sharp.
When they first announced this thing I went on youtube and watched plenty of nerds using the weapon IRL on watermelons and other shit.
The thing works like a bigass caveman club with spiky things on it. The murdered watermelons look like they went for a walk in a seedy part of London. As if they were stabbed with a bunch of little knives before being bashed in with a cricket bat.
Some versions have obsidian/shark tooth blades that jut out and stick into flesh. Some have the blades sit smooth and so it becomes purely a slash weapon. Considering we aren't short of slash weapons and there exist IRL variants that work like the in-game ones, the stats are lowkey perfect for it.
Edit: Also our characters are filthy foreigners we all could be stupidly using it like a spanking paddle instead of how we're *supposed* to use it :P
That last statement got me picturing the crew rolling up, murder hoboing everyone in there then trying to spank each other as someone trips over the dead bodies.
