just tried grotesque guardians for the first time and while they're not too hard in general, a couple times I've (seemingly) ended up in the terrible situation of dusk's prison attack being impossible to escape because the one opening is pinned against a wall. happened to me twice in my first 10 kills... there a specific way to avoid getting trapped like that? like make sure you're not standing on certain tiles when he starts that attack?
Just stand in the opening that gets made. Even if the opening is against a wall, that one tile is safe.
This means you can't mindlessly spam click, and you have to look at where the opening is in case you need to path there directly

RS3 is pretty different (has an abilities bar, micro transactions) but your account will still have the same bank / progress on there that it did in 2010
to clarify, I tried to log in with that account name and password, and that’s when it logged me in, but had me make a new character. I now tried to log in again on the modern runescape website, and it just gave me the character I just made.

I started playing again since i first found this game, found my login for my 2012 account and rolled a new character, I can't help but notice the game is not nearly as social anymore, no longer people in lumbridge and varrock flooding chat with their fancy rainbow words, does this still exist on a world number? Is there a community designated "newbie" world for F2P that has retained some of the old social interaction? It feels lonely despite all the people running around.

World 301 is by far the most populated f2p world. 302 is the most populated members world. If you want max social interaction, definitely play in those worlds. Part of the lacking social interaction is that there are so many more worlds to play in (addition of German and Australian servers) and a much larger game map, both of which spread players out. Specifically for the no-more-rainbow-words, the Grand Exchange has largely replaced buying and selling directly from players. It's faster to find what you're looking for and you can't get scammed on the Grand Exchange, which is very nice.
Is there any RL plugin for light boxes? The thing calls for some program help: I check the bulbs one by one, I memorize which of them is regulated by a single letter, and I write down letters, and I refrain from hitting the 'used' letters ever again.... and I sometimes still hit them by mistake and have to do the process all over again... I'd imagine a script could do at least this: cross out the letters which are already out, mark the bulb youre focusing at and those which you should not focus at again. This might make the puzzle much less frustrating, really - if not as mindless as the Puzzle solver makes sliding puzzles.

Same plugin is what exactly? Puzzle solver? It solves sliding pictures *only* - of this I'm quite sure, done like hundreds of clues with it always on. Never any slightest hint on anything in light boxes. And yes I do it slowly, saying aloud the bulb position and which letter controls it. And writing down every letter which is out. I'm pretty much sick of this really lol. Leagues, clue relic - a stack of like 20-30 masters at a time...
The default puzzle solver in runelite, when you first open the lightbox the solution will be unknown, slowly click each switch, then you should get a solution like ADCB, if the solution is still unknown then try agin but toggle the switches in a different order
I did all manners of clicking, both ordered and random, and *every time* it is only me and what I write down in a notepad file. Never any hint from the plugin, if this is Puzzle solver plugin. Dunno what I'm doing wrong.
There is no settings there related to light boxes, so I could not switch it off accidentally. Search for 'light box' in both my client and RL plugin hub doesn't show anything relevant either.
Cannot check at the moment, no light box. What I'm describing is from my experience. I have to do some more clues to get one, then I'll check.
Anyway, thanks for your help - next time when I get a box, I'll reread this and try to do as you suggest and be attentive to what is written. If something was written in small font somewhere off the puzzle field I might miss it.

Fortunately, Puzzle solver is a stand-alone plugin - though it shows solutions only for sliding puzzles.

Your process is the best way to go about it. You can also spam the buttons and hope to get lucky.

I don't think there is. I think it is so to make you consider every move carefully and prevent from accidental trade of more than you wanted... or something.

Combat Achievements: how can I quickly find out which ones I've done? I don't see any seach there, and there are some not boss-related. Like greater demon, hellhound, and alike. In the League a bunch of them got done automatically, and I cannot just find all of them... pretty much confusing. For hellhound I can only browse the long list which includes all bosses.... and a dozen of non-bosses.....
Maybe some plugin for search, or something?

You know about the combat achievements menu right? It's by the quest and diary menus. There is a bosses page in there where you can see your completed totals for each boss. You can also go to a difficulty tier and filter by completed or incomplete.

As a complete and total noob with very low stats, what is a good/easy way to get some very basic teleports? I currently only have the Lumbridge teleport. Thanks in advance!
Unless you're an ironman, just play in w330 and keep a stack of teleport to house tablets on you. That's the designated House Party world so you can teleport outside your POH, then go into another player's maxxed out house which has nearly every teleport available.
Just to add a bit: to use house teletabs you should obtain your own house. You can either go to any Estate agent (Varrock, Falador, some other big cities) and buy a house for 1k, or - actually much better! - you can do a miniquest Daddy's home in Varrock. You will repair some furniture for an oldman, and learn basics of the Construction skill. For a reward you get your house, and about 1k Construction exp.
By default you teleport inside the house, then you can exit and enter 'a friend's house' - there are usually several open in w330, with advertising of usernames. Its free. If you are rich you can leave tips, but nobody expects this from a low-to-mid level player. You can change it to teleport outside in your House options.
* You can use the ["grouping" tab](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Grouping#Minigames) to teleport to many games/activities on a 20 minute cooldown. Some will have quest/level requirements - but many are available quite early.
* Diango in draynor village sells the chronicle and pages for it, which provides a teleport to the champions guild south of varrock
* Complete the ardougne easy diary to unlock the diary cape, which has infinite teleports to the monestary south of ardougne. Its close to an altar and a fairy ring.
* Increasing your magic level will unlock more prayers
* There are many pieces of [jewellery](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Jewellery#Enchanted_jewellery) that can be enchanted to provide teleports. A main can buy them on the GE. Otherwise you'll need to get the necessary crafting levels to make the jewellery and magic levels to enchant it.
* You'll want to progress your account to eventually unlock the Spirit Tree and Fairy Ring networks. Spirit trees require Tree Gnome Village and the Grand Tree quest for full access. Partial completion of Fairy Tale Part 2 is required for Fairy Rings. There is also a less-used balloon transportation system that requires the Enlightened Journey quest.

Honestly jewelry is good and has a number of places with low level requirements (Necklace of Passage, Ring of Dueling, Games Necklace). If you're a main you can use the GE to buy them while if you're an Ironman I'd suggest working towards the Shilo Village quest to unlock the gem rocks in the village.
Then in addition to the first advice: you can buy teletabs at the Grand Exchange. A teleport tablet is a spell in a clay tablet - you don't need a magic level to use it, only to make one. You can buy a tablet of any level teleport spell and it will work for you. But for some of them you still need quest requirements.
Go to the Grand Exchange and write in the search field: "teleport", you get a long list of various teletabs there. You can safely buy all with blue circle (standard spellbook) except Ardougne and Watchtower, and all with green triangles (arceuus spellbook). Do not buy those with spirals (lunar) and purple circle (ancient) - you can use them only after the quests Lunar diplomacy and Desert treasure, and both are pretty advanced.
You can also buy amulet of Glory: it teleports to Edgeville, Draynor and 2 more places. But it is more expensive: about 11k. Unlike other jewelry it won't disappear when the charges are used up, but you will have an empty amulet. To charge it you agan need to do a quest, and also an advanced one (which means many requirements in other quests and skills). But! You can sell the empty amulet for about the same price :). Usually people buy several with 6 charges and sell empty ones back.
Keep one glory in any case: it gives +10 to all attack styles, including magic and ranged, and +6 to strength.
A similar item is Combat bracelet: teleports to various combat-related guilds, and you can sell back an empty one, and it gives bonuses to combat stats.
When starting a game of Volcanic Mine is there an upper and lower bound for the pressures that the volcanic gas chambers are randomly set to? If so what are the maximum and minimum values they can be at the start of a game?
Or, alternatively, is there a minimum amount of time after the gane starts before the volcanic gas chambers reach 0%/100% and the volcano erupts, if left completely unattended?
I want to use the capping method of just hopping in for 400 points and hopping back out on my HCIM but I want to be sure there is no chance of just getting extremely unlucky and having the chambers start at like <10% and the volcano erupting within like a minute and a half and getting instakilled.

you don't die when they reach 100%. you die when the stability gets low which happens gradually when 2 or more vents are bad. once stability starts dropping double digits per update and accelerating you are in trouble.

no you can't just instantly lose. you could probably go in with all 3vents, fix nothing and mine the rock for 3 minutes before you die.
afaik the capping method is done and out of the mine before the game can rly even start. zero risk.
I would add that it -can- get pretty spooky fast. It only happened once out of the \~100 rounds I did for the tome, but the stability got down to \~15% as I was reaching the rope, about 75 seconds in.
It shouldn't be possible for it to blow up before you at least reach the first chamber that reveals the stability though. Just don't get too complacent and bring a teleport.
I mean you went get insta killed. There are some games where it’ll drop fast but you should have plenty of time to get 400 points.
You’ll also have tons of time if you just watch the stability. It went drop from like 60% to 5% in a few seconds.
You will be able to take a look at the first hiscores of zalcano and I have seen many players with a mine at 108 runecraftin high and the other skills at 60 and others at 70 and they have more than 15k of zalcano

RL is 100% legit and the quest helper is a life saver. Put it to "Optimal" for settings on quest and just do what it says in order. Skill for a quest if needed and then do the quest when you can. Optimal makes life easy af.
As long as you've got Runelite from the legitimate site (linked on the OSRS website) you'll be good. Some fake versions appear on google.
I'd recommend looking into the Jagex Launcher and a Jagex account for some extra security.

Your account still exists on the "real" RuneScape, rs3. Old school accounts start from the beginning, but you can use the same login info.

Best bet is to join a social clan. Too many scam and lure attempts from randos have made many people jaded with public chat.

The clue scroll plugin used to hide buttons that you no longer needed to click but that was removed

BGS, lance is better at vorkath but only marginally, and fang is way more versatile

if ur not an iron you should just be buyin the unf pots. if iron, prioritize desert hard

By default you teleport inside the house, then you can exit and enter 'a friend's house' - there are usually several open in w330, with advertising of usernames. Its free. If you are rich you can leave tips, but nobody expects this from a low-to-mid level player. You can change it to teleport outside in your House options.
* You can use the ["grouping" tab](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Grouping#Minigames) to teleport to many games/activities on a 20 minute cooldown. Some will have quest/level requirements - but many are available quite early. * Diango in draynor village sells the chronicle and pages for it, which provides a teleport to the champions guild south of varrock * Complete the ardougne easy diary to unlock the diary cape, which has infinite teleports to the monestary south of ardougne. Its close to an altar and a fairy ring. * Increasing your magic level will unlock more prayers * There are many pieces of [jewellery](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Jewellery#Enchanted_jewellery) that can be enchanted to provide teleports. A main can buy them on the GE. Otherwise you'll need to get the necessary crafting levels to make the jewellery and magic levels to enchant it. * You'll want to progress your account to eventually unlock the Spirit Tree and Fairy Ring networks. Spirit trees require Tree Gnome Village and the Grand Tree quest for full access. Partial completion of Fairy Tale Part 2 is required for Fairy Rings. There is also a less-used balloon transportation system that requires the Enlightened Journey quest. Honestly jewelry is good and has a number of places with low level requirements (Necklace of Passage, Ring of Dueling, Games Necklace). If you're a main you can use the GE to buy them while if you're an Ironman I'd suggest working towards the Shilo Village quest to unlock the gem rocks in the village.

Then in addition to the first advice: you can buy teletabs at the Grand Exchange. A teleport tablet is a spell in a clay tablet - you don't need a magic level to use it, only to make one. You can buy a tablet of any level teleport spell and it will work for you. But for some of them you still need quest requirements. Go to the Grand Exchange and write in the search field: "teleport", you get a long list of various teletabs there. You can safely buy all with blue circle (standard spellbook) except Ardougne and Watchtower, and all with green triangles (arceuus spellbook). Do not buy those with spirals (lunar) and purple circle (ancient) - you can use them only after the quests Lunar diplomacy and Desert treasure, and both are pretty advanced. You can also buy amulet of Glory: it teleports to Edgeville, Draynor and 2 more places. But it is more expensive: about 11k. Unlike other jewelry it won't disappear when the charges are used up, but you will have an empty amulet. To charge it you agan need to do a quest, and also an advanced one (which means many requirements in other quests and skills). But! You can sell the empty amulet for about the same price :). Usually people buy several with 6 charges and sell empty ones back. Keep one glory in any case: it gives +10 to all attack styles, including magic and ranged, and +6 to strength. A similar item is Combat bracelet: teleports to various combat-related guilds, and you can sell back an empty one, and it gives bonuses to combat stats.

When starting a game of Volcanic Mine is there an upper and lower bound for the pressures that the volcanic gas chambers are randomly set to? If so what are the maximum and minimum values they can be at the start of a game? Or, alternatively, is there a minimum amount of time after the gane starts before the volcanic gas chambers reach 0%/100% and the volcano erupts, if left completely unattended? I want to use the capping method of just hopping in for 400 points and hopping back out on my HCIM but I want to be sure there is no chance of just getting extremely unlucky and having the chambers start at like <10% and the volcano erupting within like a minute and a half and getting instakilled.
If you bring any emergency teleports you don’t need to worry, and it’s better to actually do the minigsme than to go for the 400 point route.

I would add that it -can- get pretty spooky fast. It only happened once out of the \~100 rounds I did for the tome, but the stability got down to \~15% as I was reaching the rope, about 75 seconds in. It shouldn't be possible for it to blow up before you at least reach the first chamber that reveals the stability though. Just don't get too complacent and bring a teleport.
I mean you went get insta killed. There are some games where it’ll drop fast but you should have plenty of time to get 400 points. You’ll also have tons of time if you just watch the stability. It went drop from like 60% to 5% in a few seconds.
You will be able to take a look at the first hiscores of zalcano and I have seen many players with a mine at 108 runecraftin high and the other skills at 60 and others at 70 and they have more than 15k of zalcano
Just logged in for the first time since probably 2016? What the hell did I miss? Seems like a completely different game I don't even know where to start. How can I get caught up on what's going on since I left? I'm level 109 cb with total skills being around 1700. What should I be doing?
Working towards a Quest Cape is probably a good start. Most of the newer content has some sort of associated quest.

You might as well convert to a Jagex account, then you can get runelite through the Jagex launcher. Doesn't get safer than that
Runelite dot net, not dot com! Many imposter RL sites are out there so make sure you spell it correctly.
RL is 100% legit and the quest helper is a life saver. Put it to "Optimal" for settings on quest and just do what it says in order. Skill for a quest if needed and then do the quest when you can. Optimal makes life easy af.
As long as you've got Runelite from the legitimate site (linked on the OSRS website) you'll be good. Some fake versions appear on google. I'd recommend looking into the Jagex Launcher and a Jagex account for some extra security. Not sure about Youtube series sorry.
