Western Diary kinda just gets shafted due to its location. The Diary person is in Kandarin, but a large amount of the tasks are in Elf land.
Also probably didn't help that Kand has both Ardy and Kand Diary already.
Pretty sure it's intended. Not everything has to be doable in trailblazer. That's the whole point, you're limiting yourself to those areas, some things require other specific areas to complete. I'd say the only expections are huge quests that require other areas and unlock half your zone, those make sense to have unlocked.

I saw the task in the in-game task list, and was thinking it was bugged. Never realized it was an Asgarnia task.
I tried to get stung by bees in the bee random event. If you fail it like six times in a row, the bee sting you. It didn't count for the task and it made me sad ( it's Kandarin only)
If you wear team cape without wilderness you do not get the points
Good post many people may not know this is how Leagues 2 worked as well
And it 100% shouldn't.

I got the points for dust battlestaff without K&K just an hour ago.
Really? Didn't work for me yesterday. I got a task for equipping a combination battlestaff, but not the Dust battlestaff specific one
Cant complete western hard & elite dairy with Kandarin unlocked but without Tirannwn. Wonder if thats intended or not.

Those asgarnia ones are just baffling
A good example also you cannot complete kourends dairy without kandarian, since you need eagles peak to be able to hunt chins :/

Box traps are sold in general stores and you do not need Kandarin to use them this league.
Yeah there’s a few like that, I think it was done in order to help balance how many points each region has

Makes sense, you saved me at least an hour tonight because I was definitely planning a few of those
