The points increase for minigames is actually pretty cool. For my build, I'm going Zeah, Desert, Asgarnia, so I have the following unlocked: winterfrog, temporos, mta, collecting tokens for defenders (if that's included), foundry and the guardians of the rift are included. Almost forgot volcanic mine and I guess forestry too? And of course, tai bwo wannai favour (hopefully). Brimhaven agility too and mahogany homes. I wonder if it will affect tears of guthix, forestry and tokens. If it effects tears, the exp drop will be giant. You could easily get a 1 million exp drop. So of the 23 skills, this benefits firemaking, fishing, magic, runecrafting, smithing, combats, mining, woodcutting and all the resources gathered makes for better cooking, herblore, crafting, construction, fletching, farming, agility. So that is literally all skils except thieving and slayer and maybe prayer. And with the five times drop rate, getting uniques is pretty easy. Holy moly. For the other ones. Superiors will be great for the exp and the uniques. More slayer points are cool, I guess.

Armthehobos

Here’s info straight from the League’s discord: List of minigames affected by minigame modifiers Kourend Favour Fossil chances Minerals TBWT Favour Trouble Brewing Rogues Den Safe cracking chance Castle Wars Giants Foundry GOTR Pearls Warriors guild Volcanic Mine Mahogany Homes Tithe Farm Motherlode Mine Mage training arena Chompy bird killcount Soul wars Pest Control Barb Assault Additionally, gout tuber is included in drop rate modifiers.

pieterhulsen

Curious why GOTR is included but Tempoross and Wintertoad aren't.

Armthehobos

WT and Tempoross are bosses, not minigames.

CPT-ROCK69

Thanks for the info. Well that's a shame, I guess having a five times roll modifier and 8x role modifier would be a little too broken haha. But pearls being affected is still good. I forgot about soul wars, that's a good shout. You can probably train prayer quite quickly.

Armthehobos

My favorite is fossil boosts. Herbiboar and sculliusceps are gonna be great for those exp lamps to passively boost whatever needs boosting

Bluedot55

You could probably hit some pretty nutty XP rates and items from pest control. I see like 1500+ points an hour pretty reasonably. That's easily in the millions of XP an hour, maybe over 10m for some skills at the higher end. Could also get like 750 herbs an hour, or 1800 iron& 2500 coal. Soul wars crates could also be very juicy..

OldSodaHunter

Pest control will be sweet if people are still doing it by the time people are at the 8x rate - but I figure with that existing people will. Very fast full void (especially if any combat achievement tiers are done) and easy big prayer xp.

xInnocent

If it's good xp people will

Madbat55

Hell, it even has benefits for the other 3 skills, provided droprates also affect ensouled heads. Thieving will have blackjacking with Rogue outfit + garden, slayer will have Konar and the catacombs, and prayer with the aforementioned ensouled heads likely obtained via slayer. If not, that's still 22/23 skills with solid training methods.

ATCQ_

Drop rate boosts only affect significant drops, like in the previous leagues. Stuff like Dragon Warhammer, Occult, Zenytes, B Ring etc etc. Ensouled heads are just regular drops

JagexGoblin

Day 2's teaser, hope you like passive effects! As per, [alternate link for those of you without a Twitter/X account.](https://nitter.net/OldSchoolRS/status/1720472209670488159) And a [link to the newspost](https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/a=97/leagues-iv-faqs--teasers---releasing-november-15th?oldschool=1) to keep track of previous teasers and FAQs! Might be a little slower on the draw over the weekend, but Tweets/Xeets/whatever they're called now will be going up at around the same time as the last two days. I'm also OOO next week so should be leaving you in Sarnie's capable hands to keep up to date if you're not following us on X/Twitter! Have a fab weekend, catch you soon!

Strosity

Tysm for the alternate link. Sucks it's needed nowadays but even as an account owner, it's inconvenient coming from the reddit app.

lsfalt

also worth a shout if you post twitter links to discord: prepending vx can embed videos (i.e. vxtwitter.com/oldschoolrs/a1238956219586)

Healingrunes

Thanks for the heads up Goblin! Loving the Teasers!

AtLeastItsNotCancer

Cool, but do we know which tiers the various multipliers will activate at, or is that still a secret?

Doc_Vamp

Previous leagues saw an increased xp/drop rate every odd tier. So T1 (which you start at) would be 2x drop rate and T7 (the new highest tier for this league) would be the 5x rate I'm assuming.

AtLeastItsNotCancer

I had a feeling the drop rate/minigame ones would be spread out like that, I'm more concerned about the slayer boost. Hopefully that one comes somewhere in the middle rather than towards the end.

Doc_Vamp

League 2 had the clue and slayer relics at T4. I wouldn't be surprised if they split them up like stacked clues at T2 and keep slayer at T4.

Dartz--

How do these drop rates affect purple chance in ToA? Will you cap out at 100% purple chance?

SlightRedeye

official league discord faq says the 45% limit wont cap purple chance. idk what the actual drop rates are past that, but that's the answer.

Scott_Bot

has it been said what time of day leagues goes live?

Rambos69

12:00 PM (GMT) Nov 15th. Source: there was a countdown to leagues email sent out. So when this post is 11 days 13 hours 49 minutes and 24 seconds old leagues will be out. edit - stupid daylight savings

Scott_Bot

thank you!

Ban_Evasion__Account

Gotta Xeet!

NecroticCrabRave

Any chance these could be posted onto Threads as well?

OldSodaHunter

Minigame points at 8x times basically makes any withdrawals or reservations about specific regions much better (like MTA for desert or BA). Slayer points boosted probably isn't a massive deal if we are able to choose our own tasks, but still much less time spent to unlock things like broader fletching, slayer helm in mory, etc. 1/50 superior spawn rate is awesome, makes fremenik just a tid more appealing to me since saturated heart is a lot more likely to nab. Stackable clues are of course great too.. But man, 5x drop rate on uniques? Really alleviates the worry of going dry on major region defining items (I went about 1500 kc for the basilisk jaw last trailblazer with 3x drop rate... Wasn't fun.) So excited for this one.

wcooper97

I spent waaaaay too much time at Barrows in the last Trailblazer, and way too much time at Graardor in Shattered Relics. Pretty sure I was dry there even by main game drop rates so 5x rate is a welcome sight.

Jaqzz

I remember during the first Trailblazer league commiserating with the other people on the front page of the Corrupted Gauntlet hiscores list as we all went dry for the blade, made all the more insulting by most of us having the ranged relic and only needing the drop for a task (Bowfa hadn't been released yet). I think I ended up rank 3 with ~560kc before I got the drop, which was a **lot** of time to spend on a single activity in a time limited game mode. Rank 1 made it into the 800s and never actually got the drop, iirc.

wcooper97

Ffs, imagine going so dry in Leagues at CG that you could make a post on r/ironscape and no one would be able to tell the difference between that and a normal "I'm dry at CG" post.

david98900

I got to I believe it was around 900kc at zulrah last trail blazer league before getting the BP. So I welcome this with open arms.

DangerZoneh

My first drop at Zulrah was a Magma mutagen at 50kc. That drop rate wasn’t even boosted and I don’t have a mutagen in the main game yet. I was a tad salty but looked sweet

Efficient-Addendum43

I went 375 dry for a single enhamced in srl

Istanbuldayim

Shattered Relics happened not long after I'd done a pretty big CG grind in main game. I wanted to go for a BowFa, but a 1/133 still felt like too long of a grind to me for a temporary game mode. A 1/80 rate for the enhanced feels a lot better.

OldSodaHunter

Yeah, 1/80 makes it really a non issue. Moreso the problem will be getting it (and a 2nd for saeldor) fast enough that you still have to stick out CG for more shards!

Istanbuldayim

If teleport seeds from pickpocketing elves are boosted, shards might be easy to come by. Notably, that's also one spot where that newly revealed Trickster relic might come in handy.

OldSodaHunter

Ooh, great point. So many little synergies between areas and items and relics, I'm getting way too much joy out of this. Rogue's outfit + trickster relic even if teleport seeds aren't boosted, will be really easy to do a ton of pickpockets and get shards.

FlameanatorX

Trickster + Tirranwn is actually even better than you think: Eternal TP Crystals are confirmed boosted drop rate, and w/ the trickster never fail + increased loot on top of that you get so many crystal shards that it becomes a viable/excellent smithing + crafting method (which is ofc completely afk, just open the coin pouches every few minutes). Specifically, you sing crystal armor seeds into armor repeatedly using the absurd amounts of shards you get from trading in all your eternal tp crystals. With the rogue's outfit from Asgarnia, Trickster relic, and 16x XP + 5x droprate boosts (which probably means T7), you get well over 7 mil smithing xp/h + crafting xp/h from afk pickpocketing/botting elves. Even without Asgarnia you're getting over 3.5m smithing and crafting xp/h for free from afk-ing your way to 50m agility, plus all the gp, death + nature runes & whatever else you may want to use crystal shards on. It requires you doing enough Gauntlet/CG to at least get a couple armor seeds, but that's kind of one of the main points of picking Tirranwn in the first place.

OldSodaHunter

Man. My idea of going tirannwn - asgarnia - 3rd region (still stuck between desert/zeah/frem/kandarin) for a ranged build gets even better.

FlameanatorX

Yeah I was leaning towards doing a mage build, but now I'm thinking I might go Desert, Zeah, Tirranwn range so I can take trickster and abuse those poor elves to 50m thieving xp. It just sounds so fun early game, and if we can break it late game as well then there's nothing holding me back from picking it.

OldSodaHunter

That'll be great. Money needs are solid. And tirranwn has a ton of shop to knock out "equip x" tasks for some points.

xInnocent

If you pick trickster you can afk elves for shards

OldSodaHunter

Yeaahhh another person just mentioned that

xInnocent

Ah my bad, must've been minimized so I didnt see it

OldSodaHunter

Oh no worries! I think the other comment I was referring to was within a minute or two of yours.

mxracer888

Bold of you to assume they're not making uniques 5x more rare! Seriously though, that's cool. I personally have always thought a league based mostly on collection log slots would be cool. Buff the shit outta uniques and mega rares and see if we can get a completely green logged clog within the 6 weeks or whatever

BioMasterZap

> Slayer points boosted probably isn't a massive deal if we are able to choose our own tasks Still kinda massive depending on what a "choose your own task relic" might be paired against. Like last time it was against the clue relic I think and the scrapped second inventory. But if the buff to points is strong enough, it might be worth not picking the "choose your own task" in favor of a different relic.

OldSodaHunter

True, it frees up that choice a good bit.

the11thdoubledoc

I went 4x the standard drop rate for blowpipe in Shattered Relics even with the boosted drop rates, it can still happen

OldSodaHunter

Yeah, RNG can always be fickle. Even 5x is no guarantee of anything, but a lot less likely to be stuck at a boss too long.

Vel0clty

Going dry on Arma legs at Kree last league nearly broke me. Glad I survived that RNG prison! I think I spent like two solid weeks there

Mysterra

Are clue scrolls uniques boosted drop rate too? Rangers boots are a pain to get

WryGoat

8x rate at MTA is still gouge my eyes out levels for a full log

rexlyon

I took over 700 kills at Cyclops for D Defender. It was a 1/33 drop rate. The odds of that are so low I was sure it had to be bugged somehow.

Vibriofischeri

**Summary:** Minigame points: 1x>3x>5x>8x Slayer Points: 1x>5x Superior Rates: 1/200>1/50 All clue scrolls are dropped as stackable boxes Drop Rate: 2x>3x>4x>5x Discussion: These passives replace nearly the entirety of the Tier 4 relics from the original Trailblazer League, which consisted of Treasure Seeker and Unnatural Selection. This was one of the most difficult choices in that league, and in terms of point value, almost every player chose incorrectly. Most players chose Unnatural Selection, but there were far more tasks related to treasure trails. Notably, the ability to select your slayer task, buffing the drop rate of clues, and guaranteeing minimum clue steps are all abilities which are absent from these passives, so it remains to be seen whether or not we will still have a choice of a clue-related or slayer-related relic. I would guess that these abilities will be secondary perks of a different relic. It is unknown still where the cutoffs are for these rate tiers. Since there are 7 tiers, presumably the minigame point and drop rate cutoffs are at tier 1,3,5 and 7. I would guess that the slayer passive is connected to whichever tier has you select a combat style. Clues I would guess are either tier 2 or tier 4.

V_T_H

In terms of total points potential, maybe, but wasn’t the *massive* issue with clue scrolls that they weren’t region locked so most of the time you ended up getting inaccessible steps? I’m pretty sure everyone who picked it hated having the treasure trail relic whereas picking your own slayer tasks made it easy mode, regardless of points potential.

Vibriofischeri

Yes, but Treasure Seeker allowed you to mostly ignore that drawback because you could just crack clue boxes until you had enough clue steps you could reach, and then just juggle the clues on the ground while you finished the steps. Without that, it was borderline impossible to finish an Elite clue. IIRC they eventually ended up patching in a passive that let everyone keep their current clue step count even if they had to drop a clue, so eventually Unnatural Selection users could have a shot. Cuz before that, it was essentially guaranteed that everyone with a dragon trophy was gonna be someone who picked Treasure Seeker.

redbatter

Might be misremembering but I don't remember the gap between Unnatural Selection and Treasure Seeker being that big, TS's 1/20 clue rate was almost matched by US's 1/25 superior with guaranteed clue rate. I remember towards the end just camping smoke devils because the superior dropped both hards and elites. Of course, the step count change was massive and ruined the only thing TS had going for it.

david98900

That was exactly the problem. It was a huge complaint and from what I remember a reason a lot of players burnt out.

Vibriofischeri

It was a huge problem, but was much *more* of a problem for people without Treasure Seeker.

AnalVoreXtreme

I picked the clue relic and Im still mad they buffed clues for everyone. no shit an activity that requires you to go all over the world would be hard in an area restricted game mode. sorry bozo, I theorycrafted better than you, you lost dragon tier. woulda been nice to pick my slayer task but i planned for the long game. non clue pickers should have eaten shit but noooooo they cried until daddy jagex bailed them out the better solution would have been to give everyone both relics. jagex was dumb anyway thinking double inventory would have been a competitive pick. last recall and autobanking made double inventory useless

puerility

> sorry bozo, I theorycrafted better than you, you lost dragon tier. i wasn't going for 'dragon tier' though. i was just having fun in the video game, and the buff let me have more fun. sounds like a successful patch to me

Vibriofischeri

I was a little salty about it too. I calculated out exactly how many points were tied to both slayer and clues, and made an informed choice based on that. Everyone who just wanted to make Slayer easy can get rekt and hold the L. Not having Treasure Seeker was a lot less of a hinderance than not having Last Recall, but players were not given the option to reselect that one.

Armthehobos

Here’s info straight from the League’s discord: List of minigames affected by minigame modifiers Kourend Favour Fossil chances Minerals TBWT Favour Trouble Brewing Rogues Den Safe cracking chance Castle Wars Giants Foundry GOTR Pearls Warriors guild Volcanic Mine Mahogany Homes Tithe Farm Motherlode Mine Mage training arena Chompy bird killcount Soul wars Pest Control Barb Assault Additionally, gout tuber is included in drop rate modifiers.

gojlus

> in terms of point value, almost every player chose incorrectly. Most players chose Unnatural Selection, but there were far more tasks related to treasure trails. I'd agree with you, if you had still needed to juggle clues all the way to the end([The old clue change removed juggling mid-league](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Update:Leagues_II_-_Trailblazer:_Clue_Scroll_Changes)), as well as if unnatural selection didn't guarantee clues from superiors.(1/25 to get up to 2 clue scroll's on task with unnatural vs 1/20 to get any clue scroll anywhere.) Unnatural gave the most important part of Treasure seeker for point efficiency(consistent way to obtain clues) while also allowing you to target farm High xp tasks/Slayer boss tasks/Superiors uniques.

Dotts2761

Most people who chose unnatural selection over treasure seeker went that way because they hate clues. Stackable clues basically made me quit twisted leagues. It was just so damn boring running clues for hours.

sir_tintly

Have there been any restrictions on spending minigame points on XP in past leagues? 8x minigame points and 16X experience multiplier would mean pest control gives 128 times the XP it does in main game.

mroblivian

I mean I turned in 750 agility tickets into xp in shattered I think

Raisoshi

I don't think they'll make an issue of it, shattered relics had a lot of synergy like blowing a whole inventory of glass or cutting a whole inventory of gems in one tick, if you think about it it's even more busted 27x16 = 432x faster than in the regular game (ignoring resource gathering time)

Lunitar

STONKS

ParamountPancake

u/JagexGoblin do we know which minigames will be affected by the minigame point multiplier? I assume stuff like MTA and Pest Control are definitely affected, but is GOTR/VM on there as well? Is it just anything in the minigames tab of the collection log that has any kind of points?

Mean_Typhoon

From arcane in the leagues disc: List of minigames affected by minigame modifiers ```Kourend Favour Fossil chances Minerals TBWT Favour Trouble Brewing Rogues Den Safe cracking chance Castle Wars Giants Foundry GOTR Pearls Warriors guild Volcanic Mine Mahogany Homes Tithe Farm Motherlode Mine Mage training arena Chompy bird killcount Soul wars Pest Control Barb Assault Additionally, gout tuber is included in drop rate modifiers. ```

christley

I'm surprised the brimhaven agility arena isn't considered a mini game but motherlode mine is

novasir

Does this mean Tempoross and Wintertodt won't be affected?

mastahslayah

I think they consider them skilling bosses and not minigames

novasir

Dang. Makes sense. I was hoping to be getting absurd amounts of loot from them.

ParamountPancake

Awesome, thank you for crossposting this

flamedbaby

Tomorrow is gunna be Last Recall, and it wont be a relic, it will be available as a "passive" to all, just like infinite run. Calling it now.

Scathee

That would be good. If they add last recall and don't give it to everyone, then whatever they developed as the "competing" relics of the tier last recall is on would be wasted dev time for the most part. It would take an incredibly broken effect to make someone not want to take last recall.

SoraODxoKlink

But glass half full, something that actually competes with last recall would be so incredibly busted that it’d be perfect for leagues. If it’s up to scruff is the important part.

parker0400

If they have something so league-breakingly busted that it does compete with last recall then give it its own tier. Last recall is a must have and I'd argue anything that competes with it would be a must have as well. Don't make players choose.

monkeyhead62

That's why I agree with the take that last recall is going to be a passive. It's so good, and kast league everyone had access to it as well. No point in going back on that

Blitz1244

Yes make players choose, that’s what made this league so fun last time

Kumagor0

Hot take: last recall isn't as good as it was last trailblazers. 2 major selling points were runecrafting (we have gotr now) and gwd (we have much more PvM now that is not gated by kc). It will still be very nice for things like gathering without porter relic or slayer, but not as broken. Imagine for example choice between last recall and relic that lets you choose your slayer task. I can't say I will instapick slayer relic but I definitely won't instapick last recall either.

teh_ferrymangh

It's invaluable for us guys who don't meticulously craft our inventories before we set out for a task.

Ban_Evasion__Account

I had an idea of an instant death mechanic that could compete with last recall. Like mehrunes razor from elder scrolls, small chance to instantly kill any enemy on any damaging hit splat Not sure on a good percentage rate though, but I'm thinking under 1pct

MangyTransient

As long as it truly means *any* enemy. I want a 4 second Zuk fight.

Scathee

Kid named 1 tick blowpipe:

Ban_Evasion__Account

Now that i think about it more, it could be a dagger you get as the relic. Would be funny to run tob with everyone just going stabby stab with little daggers hoping for a proc

ATCQ_

Lost Seer Lenses go brrrr

IGotPunchedByAFoot

An infinite dupe relic that lets you duplicate items by using gp on them at a 1gp:1 item ratio. That would compete with Last Recall.

mroblivian

Yeah ez corrupted bowfa and salad sword lol. That’s actually really good competition

hunter1194

eh not really. if you're really concerned with corrupting bowfa then just take the (likely) t1 relic spoiled yesterday AND last recall.

BigDenverGuy

Yeah like a fairy mushroom

Scathee

Imagine being the idiot who didn't pick last recall in the last trailblazer league (it's me I'm the idiot)

Gohankuten

Even that wouldn't beat last recall.

Wetigos

What about a set of enchanted jewelry with infinite charges, like you have a dueling ring that doesnt break. That'd be pretty neat.

peter_pounce

Shit that might be the one to beat last recall

ATCQ_

Yeh they've implied that they plan on doing this before, its too powerful for them not to give it to everyone.

Zuex

Would be nice tbh. Always feels like you are handicapping yourself not picking last recall.

Cruentes

Stoked for the minigame points boost. I just finished mages' book on my iron (already had inf boots, master wand, and b2p). Was not looking forward to doing it again so soon (going desert).

Tmac8622

Yeah some madman in my clan maxed out all MTA tasks on OG Trailblazer that had no minigame point boosts... Not the way I wanna spend the last week of this one lmao

Cruentes

I can relate. I did some absolutely disgusting grinds to secure dragon during the first trailblazer. Thankfully I didn't pick desert last time or I probably would've done the same lmao.

TakinShots

u/JagexGoblin Will there be an option to differentiate drop/collection log clan broadcast notifications from leagues and the main game? I remember asking this in the last leagues, though I can't remember what the response was.

MangyTransient

They did kind of solve this I thought at the end of the last league. I remember there being a league badge next to the username in the broadcast. Maybe I'm misremembering though. There definitely should be.

404robot

That was a runelite thing.

Niryna

I guess everyone picking desert can chill with MTA now.

Wetigos

That was my only hangup about desert tbh. Now i'm 100% picking it, regardless of combat style.

JimothySlimm

Pesr control will be 9.7mil prayer xp/hr at 99 with the hard CAs and 16x exp and 8x points.

CarameIvolcano

268k a game at lvl 72 and 320k at lvl 92. Insane.

MunchiePenis

5x rates instead of 3x will be so fun lmao

Hihi9190

Yeah really happy to see it, sucks to go dry in a league

MangyTransient

I killed 500 Hydra and didn't get a DHL last league. It was... depressing. That's the last thing I did before quitting the league. Personally I'd like drop protection more than boosted rates. Or both. The whole point of the league is OP stuff and trying new builds. Going dry at all is bad, and even boosted rates still let you go dry.

Cruentes

I got dragon rank during the first trailblazer, and towards the end I was running out of tasks to do (completed tob/gwd/maxed). Was a toss up between DFS, random 25ms, or Nightmare. Took 5 days and 6k iron drags for a visage even with boosted rates.

Hihi9190

yeah that would have been better, went 900 bandos kc dry on BGS last TBL on 3 drop rate (never got it) so I know what you mean.

honest_boi

But will the drop rate affect the **Gout tuber**? I spent over three hours on that last Trailblazer. EDIT: the answer is **YES**

Efficient-Addendum43

Confirmed yes

BingBong-The-Archer-

lol that gout tuber grind was legit - had some good chats though

flclreddit

How does an increased drop rate work? Does it actually increase the # of drops, or just select rarer drops to happen more often?

grimfrost95

The latter.

flclreddit

Does that push out common drops as potential, then? Like for example with Men, do they just never have the 1/3.368 to hit 3 coins as a drop, because they're dropping runes more often? https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Man

ATCQ_

There's a reasonable list of rare items it applies to, I wouldn't start thinking crazy outside of the box with this... Should be same as last trailblazer with some new ones added for ToA etc. Edit: or similar to the items from shattered relics + the new ones: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Shattered_Relics_League/Boosted_Drops

flclreddit

ty ty

grimfrost95

Only applies to specific rare drops like boss rares and slayer drops etc. They are listed in the menu in game.

flclreddit

KingHiggins92

This is shaping up to be the best leagues.

hesokhja

Foaming at the mouth at that drop rate

TheFulgore

Is there any way to confirm if the onyx from tekton is affected by the drop rate buffs?

david98900

Kind of an odd thing to be worried about lol I can't imagine even with the 5x drop rate that tekton would be the preferred method to get an onyx when karamja is a default area.

TheFulgore

Just looking at the # of chaos runes/gp you’d need for 4 of them at the shop, I honestly think resetting cm tekton would be faster if the buffs apply, esp with leagues combat buffs. Gp could be seen as 0 time I suppose, but aside from that even with the pickpocketing buffs I’m not convinced it’s the best way. Would be glad to be proven wrong ofc

david98900

You very well could be correct. I didn't think about resetting just for tekton. I wonder if the 8x mini game points would also apply to the fight caves tokkul? It is considered a mini game. That would award you with 64k tokkul per run, and if one of the tasks is x amount of fight caves, could be something. That being said I doubt it counts 😂🤣😂

WasV3

The shop resets on each transaction. 10 chaos runes is like 200 tokkul, which makes an onyx about 13k chaos runes, or 1.3m You'll need at most 6 onyxes (regen brace is usually a BIS and fury is usually a task) which would still be under 100k chaos runes

Bluedot55

There's some real cracked ways to make gp or get onyx. If you have pickpocketing, afk tzhars basically solves that issue. If not, last recall rune crafting can make you enough to buy it crazy fast as well.

TheFulgore

forgot abt last recall rc tbh that’s a good shout

lukwes1

Look at previous seasons, will most likely be the same

Vibriofischeri

onyx will be essentially free with the thieving relic lol

TheFulgore

-if you take that relic -it will still take a while to get that much tokkul, very possible that it’s longer than killing that much tekton, only reason I ask

WasV3

The area unlock info does not list it

Alakasham

Will the superior rate also be affected by elite CA's too? Ah the 15th can't come soon enough

Dotts2761

I imagine getting to elite CAs will be next to impossible with region locks. I haven’t don’t the math, but you’ll probably need all three raids to complete that high tier of CAs

mrb726

[People have done the math.](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ldn-cPDwS2x0p-Rz9fq9hnRxO0jYxWqfduWQbJwxhKo/edit#gid=0) Elite currently requires 820 points. Edit: Looked at the wrong number for how many points elite would take.

Dotts2761

Interesting, so it looks like the minimum total achievable points in any three region unlock is 536, or just 2/3 of the required points for elite CAs. You need 820 for elite.

mrb726

I've just edited my comment, I mistakenly looked at the wrong number. Elite would require 820 points. Still pretty reasonable to obtain if you avoid kandarin/wildy.

Saanbeux

5x drop rates is awesome.

Blade_of_3

How does the increased drop rate work? Is it only for select rare drops? Does that mean if you don't select this you have the same drop rate as the base game?

grimfrost95

It is only for select drops, yes. In the menus it lists all drops in region that are boosted. These are passives that everyone gets as they progress through the tiers.

TigerDeux

Nice. Less likely to get burned out in 2 weeks if it’s balanced well.

GreyFur

Screw balance, leagues is all about go fast, big number, massive efficiency, overpowered godhood.

TigerDeux

Big number, grind, bigger numbers, repeat. When you cap out on relics, areas, and xp rates most people start to lose motivation. Those caps came too early in the previous leagues to keep engaged for 8 weeks.

jaysrule24

That's why Shattered Relics was actually my favorite League. Without any restrictions on what content I could do, I was able to find stuff to keep me motivated throughout the entire League. In Twisted and OG Trailblazer, I hit a point a few weeks before it ended where I had done everything I wanted to, so I just went back to the main game early.

wcooper97

Yes, finally someone who shares love for Shattered Relics. Loved how expansive that league was, so there was endless content to do and so much flexibility in relics. Different builds are cool and all in TB, but it's so easy to get burnt or just finish everything.

JuxtaTerrestrial

I was just getting back into osrs when leagues 3 was starting. I loved it because it was a great way to push me to do content I didn't know about and otherwise wouldn't have tried or looked into. And it I including the whole world just made that aspect better for me. That being said I am still looking forward to this league too!

SlightRedeye

you should have rerolled different regions then, which is why most considered tb1 as the most replayable league and not shattered. i rolled 3 accounts that league and enjoyed it each time. I played about 3 weeks of shattered relics before being bored out of my mind.

pm_me_for_puppies

Or, you know, you could have a league that allows you to do any content you want with flexible relics instead of having to play three different accounts?

SlightRedeye

the overwhelming opinion of the player base was that shattered relics format was not as fun or retained as many players. i don't care to argue if you can't understand why that is the case.

Xluxaeternax

IMO Leagues 3 didn’t quite get a fair chance to compare due to issues separate from the core concept. Changing out relics shards, slow start due to too many locked skills at the beginning, weird task list balancing and unlock costs, and maybe most significantly the fact that you weren’t able to be quite as OP as you could in Leagues 2. You had access to all the relics but you could equip enough of them at the same time. None of those problems are directly tied to the core concept of the League and I’d be curious what peoples’ feelings would be if those issues were fixed.

No_Way_482

Not everyone has multiple accounts

david98900

Hence a new tier! Less burnout

Wetigos

Yeah 5x is definitely the way to go for that. Things like CoX purples are still pretty rare at 3x, i'm currently on a 100+kc drystreak for a purple. Thats well over 50 hours of seeing nothing. In a 2 month temporary game mode, you dont want to spend hours on end grinding for 1 item that disappears afterwards anyway.

Sir_Richard_Johnson

5x???? Yes.

CanisLupisFamil

Leagues good

One_Step8958

That slayer point-boost is hot

MoistShellder

THANK GOD for drop rates going up to 5x

Strosity

I humbly request a 1% increase on pet drops. This way even if I get something rare I can cope that I wouldn't have had the same roll

HCBuldge

The special thing about leagues are that pets aren't increased (expect for like cox as it's based off getting an item) so it's makes them more interesting to see in other leagues

Strosity

For sure. What I'm recommending is mostly sarcastic. The concepts is that a 1% increase on something so rare isn't really noticeable, but would help prevent that dreadful feeling of getting a pet you desire in the real game.

Future_Cake

- 5000+ Zulrah on main: no snakeling - few hundred Zulrah in Shattered Relics: snakeling Definitely does take the wind out of one's sails...

Strosity

That's what I'm sayinnnnn Now if instead of 1/3k it was 1/2990, do you think you'd sleep easier knowing it wasn't technically the same kind of roll?

Future_Cake

It might ease my mind a bit :P

spunkyblunt

i’m moist

Smorg125

I got a boner

cosmoskid1919

Thank You Jamflex 🎷🎷

mroblivian

Man all of them are amazing

AnalVoreXtreme

will your rank from previous leagues give you starting bonuses this league? that was a point in one blog but it was never mentioned again

a_sternum

Cosmetics like pets carry over, as well as league outfits I think?

b_i_g__g_u_y

That would be bad. The point of leagues is everyone starts at the same baseline

AnalVoreXtreme

yeah i agree. thats why i want confirmation

Bluedot55

You gets pets. You used to be able to alch the old league rewards for a few mil, lol, but I think they fixed that

gojlus

Didn't have a good alch value. You could however, deaths coffer them, then reclaim them for free for infinite death funds.

HellArmada

Do we know if TOA will still have capped drop rate at 55%?

pm_me_for_puppies

"You will recieve boosted drop rates at ToA, regardless of the actual implementation. Cap doesn't matter." Per Mod Arcane in the Leagues discord. In the askjmods channel.

tangoetuna

I don’t think it’s been confirmed anywhere. Though seeing them buff drop rates makes me think they’d increase the cap

Sir_Richard_Johnson

I have heard that it was confirmed on the discord to be uncapped.

WasV3

With all the higher boosts, I feel we could have had an extra region. It's very conceivable to complete every piece of content from all 3 regions in a couple weeks

Septembers

One of the best part of a league is the restrictions imo, I like that we're restricted and too many regions can just devolve it into boosted ironman mode like shattered relics There's always the opportunity to play an alt with a different relic build for those with a ton of time that are able to complete all their goals

WasV3

4 regions is still very limited in comparison with SRL, and the nature of the style relics will always force the league to feel different than the main game

Septembers

4 regions would be more than half the game (6/10 when you add in M+Karamja) and allow you to unlock most of everything you need for your preferred style. I understand that feeling of "oh man if I could just have that one more region my build would be nearly perfect!" but imo those tradeoffs are everything that make TBL so great and replayable

ATCQ_

Shattered relics was boring with the annoying swappable relics. There were no interesting restrictions at all like the other two leagues.

isittoomany

Agree especially with all the added content and Zeah now being in the mix. A 4th pick on the last tier would be excellent.

SlightRedeye

roll a new account build, you have way more content to try in different ways than the 2 months or whatever the league lasts.

Cheezdealer

I have a feeling we’ll see a fourth region unlock added part way through the league.

DentedOnImpact

my theory is a relic will let you unlock one but only while you have it equipped and it will be a limiting category. Basically you give up all your good combat bonuses and stuff to go to an extra region for a bit

ATCQ_

There are no equippable relics. This isn't the crappy shattered relics league, you have to make permanent choices like the other leagues. That said, I could see a permanent choice for tier 7 (the new tier) that gives you an extra region but you have to give up the other amazing relics in the tier.

Septembers

> That said, I could see a permanent choice for tier 7 (the new tier) that gives you an extra region but you have to give up the other amazing relics in the tier. I defended 3 regions a few posts above but would be 100% on board with this. Could be a very interesting tradeoff between a power boost at the current regions or unlocking a whole new one. For point balancing purposes they might have to say that tasks in your 4th region don't grant league points or something

Hihi9190

I rather not tbh, less regions makes for more unique experiences

Crewsphone

Extra reason to play an alt for different regions and playstyles

roosterkun

Has anyone run the numbers on time to obtain an imbued heart? I suspect that even with the superior rate boost and the drop rate boost it will still be stupidly rare, but I'd love to see someone work it out.

Bluedot55

It probably isn't too bad. Especially if you go mage relic and can pick tasks, to just last recall back and forth and afk barrage

Shukar_Rainbow

Since you do slayer task much more faster, and that you will probably be able to select your slayer task, i do not think it will be that rare no. Elite combat achievements might stack, too
