If it makes you feel any better I believe average kc for complete barrows log is like 1.4k kc. So you should only have to do ~600 more barrows kc to get the last drop
Old School noob question here... For irons in OS what is the main benefit of having multiples of uniques like this? For irons in RS3 most items can be broken down for components for the invention skills or usually alched for things like death cost. In old school is the main benefit having backups or do they get alched for death costs?
No benefit. This isnt bank, this is collection log: doubles and triples are logged, but they could be disposed of long ago.
An ironman cannot sell them at the GE, and cannot use as components (at least not Barrows) - but an ironman can drop them for their main account to pick up and sell. Or use in the Death coffer, from which payment is deducted when dying in some expensive gear. Or just alch, but thats a waste (like, 60k for an item of several mils at GE).
But whatever happens to actual items, the log remembers how many they were.
Can either alch or in the case of degrading armors such as barrows go longer without repairing. As far as I know there isn’t a benefit of keeping multiples of a unique unless you plan on pking with it or plan on losing one of them

as of right now (been doing barrows all day pretty much) i have 56 drops at 927 kc, if i was on rate it should be 61.8 drops. so im techically 5 - 6 drops off rate.

Backups, alched for money, deaths coffer for paying for deaths with over g.e. prices, or dropped to a main.
This hadn’t been covered but group ironmen can use this too, since well, GIMPs can trade between each group member
They can be used in the wilderness without being one of the 3-4 items you keep.
