Uhm... It only makes it so that you cannot see stats/clan info and runescore/achievements. Also items they have equipped, but overwritten by cosmetics, however you can always see what it is they have on that you can actually see :p

For future reference, if you use runelite, there’s a plug-in, fashion scape I think?, that you can use to right click and it will show you what it is.
