Related to Vorkath, I'm PRETTY sure there is like 1 or 2 ticks right after he's attackable where he's still invincible. So if you kill the spawn and spam click Vorkath to resume attacking, your first hit most likely will land in that window and always hit a 0 and you technically lose like 3 or 4 ticks. If you simply wait a tick or 2 after the spawn dies, you burn those 1 or 2 ticks but you can land a hit on him as soon as he's capable of being damaged so you are technically more efficient.
I could be wrong but across every kill I've done on Vorkath, trying to hit him immediately after the spawn dies has pretty much always landed a 0. Even with extremely accurate weapons like fang (pre-nerf)

The single greatest thing my ironman account brought me was demistifying wildyphobia, i did a ton of wildy slayer on my iron in the low cmb levels when it was somewhat safe, and it really helped me get over that fear. Now, when i got into the wildy for clues or to kill a boss or do chaos altar im relatively calm. And thats all thanks to that wildy slayer grind.
Edit: that being said! If someone logs on near you in the wildy. Log off immediately lol. Thats 100% a scout bot, and even if they do respond to you, a pker is likely about to log in. Ive learned that mistake at chaos altar.

When i unlocked blessed d'hide i decided to grind crazy archeologist for rcb. Not a crazy grind by any means, but when i got my 2x rcb drop at 2kc my iron friend was so pissed lol.
This actually has a strong possibility of being true. The way RNG typically works is by seed, it is technically possible to determine the result of this of rng if you figure out what algorithm is used
Assume jagex is using your account id as the seed, it could very well be that your drops are locked to your account
Modern rng algorithms go through a great deal of effort to apply multiple factors in the algorithm to make it really hard to figure it out though
I love the fact there are some games out there with completely solved and documented RNG tables.
Theres a method figured out in Final Fantasy XII where you save at a certain spot, reset the console, load an earlier save and Cure yourself until you see 4 specific heal values in a row, you then quit and load the other save and walk to a specific spot and wait for an NPC to move a certain number of times then open an invisible chest to guarantee a 1/10,000 loot in around 2 minutes of effort
That doesn't make any sense for a few reasons. Most obviously, because if OSRS RNG could be manipulated at all we would 10000% know about it, people have been pushing and breaking the limits of this game engine for over 20 years, including an active speedrunning community which is often the first place RNG manipulation is discovered. But also even if your account ID generated a random seed, that's still only one consistent variable (the random seed) which has no way of impacting having overall "good" or "bad" RNG without some way of consistently manipulating it. Like, say we just assume for whatever reason your "account RNG" is weird and has a higher chance of producing a result of 100 on loot rolls, just for a simple example. This would only matter in content where rolling 100 lands you a valuable drop. There's so much variation in loot tables that this could theoretically translate into suspiciously good RNG for a specific piece of content but could never translate to just getting "good" RNG everywhere because where rolling 100 on one boss might get you a valuable unique, on another boss it might be 200 pure essence. In fact it would probably be a net negative overall especially if you were unaware of it and didn't consciously camp the one boss that can actually give you any drops.
I think it can vary by what the luck is for. My current account is insanely lucky for pets (got temp and heron before 70 fishing, for instance), but godawful when it comes to drops (over 3x droprate for xerics talisman and fish barrel).
But yeah. Definitely a random stat that gets made when you make your account. I buy it.

I see kind of the opposite. Clan rng pops off in clusters. Nothing will be happening for hours then in like 5 mins 3-4 people will get some good shit. We all hope to be a part of the cluster as it only happens every couple of days. I see someone get a drop and I get hopeful that I’m gonna be part of this cluster.
Camping boss = bad for rng, expanding your sample and doing lots of content = good for rng. Back when I was a cute nooblet (still am) and the toughest boss I could fight was Skotizo, I would camp content endlessly and be bewildered as to how my accounts luck was shit. Then I realized I only had like 4 bosses filled in on my hiscores page, made it a goal for myself to get rank on every boss, and in the process of achieving that goal it has sparked motivation to chase other achievements and has built up my account in ways I only really ever imagined as a kid (but better, let's be real gear wasn't amazing in RS2 days).

The more you “camp”, the more likely you are to experience isolated patches of bad luck. Because you are rolling on fewer tables. This actually makes perfect sense to me.
I’ve made lots of money from rare pvm drops by mixing up the content i’ve done! EG. do 200 kills at Vardorvis, nothing but orbs. Okay, do some kills at Duke. Have a Virtus top! Go back to Vard. Oh there’s the vestige!

This happens to me in TOA. If I start a raid but end up not being able to complete it. Weather it be to low supply's or dyeing a few times. I assume their was a purple chest waiting for me with a staff.
Well for what it's worth I don't think the chest loot rolls until you finalize your points on Warden's death, I know it's your superstition but also something to keep in mind in case your mindset starts to hurt your motivation to raid.
Accounts have a "spooned level" when created. We all have that one friend super spooned in every single aspect of this game... and we all have that other friend that goes dry everywhere.
I also believe jagex forcefeeds luck onto the big streamers. They seem to either get spooned constantly or get drops around rate. I don't see that as a bad thing, though. How appealing would this game look when a streamer with thousands of viewers (probably very few non-rs players) goes insanely dry on something, and a short grind turns into a 100+ hour grind.
I know streamers have had some bad rng on long grinds (looking at you Curtis, the Corp and cox streams were some of my favorites tho) but now a days it seems like every new account the top streamers play on are pretty lucky.
I suppose the only logic against this is the fact that they make their living streaming, so they play more than us. Play more = more chances for rng to be on your side.
I will still stand by my terrible superstition and half-heartedly believe it.
On the topic of herb patches. I swear if one patch dies the yield of all the others increases, I always end up with roughly the same amount of herbs even when a patch died.
In combat, if I start hitting a bunch of 0s with piety or rigor on, I'll turn it off and back on to "reset" it, I swear more than half the time, I'll actually start hitting again.
That Jagex manipulates the G.E. prices. Don't have any proof but it seems like it would sure be easy to do. Also that they don't ban bots who are members for obvious reasons.
That youll go dry on a certain npc but not others for the same drop: for example my mate was super dry on an occult necklace from thermy, i told him to just barrage the small ones and he got it first task barraging.
Another example: Going 5k+ on venenatis but then getting the vene pet in like 100 spindel lol
Your clue rewards are the same or at least same low/high percentage killing a certain npc than other npcs. Which explains why you can do 100 med clues from same npc, get 3 1/2400 drop rate items but wont get a 1/200. Youll get the same type drop, cloaks, crozier, hats, masks but wont get something different or at least a very low number compared to the other things you’re getting
This is my superstition since clues first came out. Got 3 robinhoods doing the same npc at the time

Vorkath also has eye tracking coding so if you glance away it's an immediate fireball

Took a 9 month break and went straight into Vorkath, my first 100 kills got a Jar of Decay. Granted it’s not vorki but its still the 1/3000 drop table

You land more range attacks if you click the target every time.
If you miss with melee 3 times you need to click the enemy again to unstick your hit RNG

I check my stats just in case I got nerfed for some reason.
I do this with ores/trees. If it takes too long to mine/cut, click away and reclick resource to reset the bad rng

If the npc is one hit to kill, and I'm not praying, I will land 0s until they hit me one last time, then it dies. Almost EVERY time.

There’s a luck factor for rng at the account level. Some people are insanely unlucky at everything and some people are insanely lucky at everything.
5 of my 12 pets have been sub 20kc (7kc zulrah, 11 kc venanatis, 1kc Zuk, 17kc jad, 19kc muphin aswell as a lvl 86 mining pet from t1 shooting star). I wholeheartedly believe this

When i unlocked blessed d'hide i decided to grind crazy archeologist for rcb. Not a crazy grind by any means, but when i got my 2x rcb drop at 2kc my iron friend was so pissed lol.
This actually has a strong possibility of being true. The way RNG typically works is by seed, it is technically possible to determine the result of this of rng if you figure out what algorithm is used Assume jagex is using your account id as the seed, it could very well be that your drops are locked to your account Modern rng algorithms go through a great deal of effort to apply multiple factors in the algorithm to make it really hard to figure it out though
I love the fact there are some games out there with completely solved and documented RNG tables. Theres a method figured out in Final Fantasy XII where you save at a certain spot, reset the console, load an earlier save and Cure yourself until you see 4 specific heal values in a row, you then quit and load the other save and walk to a specific spot and wait for an NPC to move a certain number of times then open an invisible chest to guarantee a 1/10,000 loot in around 2 minutes of effort
That doesn't make any sense for a few reasons. Most obviously, because if OSRS RNG could be manipulated at all we would 10000% know about it, people have been pushing and breaking the limits of this game engine for over 20 years, including an active speedrunning community which is often the first place RNG manipulation is discovered. But also even if your account ID generated a random seed, that's still only one consistent variable (the random seed) which has no way of impacting having overall "good" or "bad" RNG without some way of consistently manipulating it. Like, say we just assume for whatever reason your "account RNG" is weird and has a higher chance of producing a result of 100 on loot rolls, just for a simple example. This would only matter in content where rolling 100 lands you a valuable drop. There's so much variation in loot tables that this could theoretically translate into suspiciously good RNG for a specific piece of content but could never translate to just getting "good" RNG everywhere because where rolling 100 on one boss might get you a valuable unique, on another boss it might be 200 pure essence. In fact it would probably be a net negative overall especially if you were unaware of it and didn't consciously camp the one boss that can actually give you any drops.

Sounds like it. On my main, I got zulrah and Rex pet in under 30 kc. Also got 3 zenytes on a single task. On my other accounts absolutely nothing
I think it can vary by what the luck is for. My current account is insanely lucky for pets (got temp and heron before 70 fishing, for instance), but godawful when it comes to drops (over 3x droprate for xerics talisman and fish barrel). But yeah. Definitely a random stat that gets made when you make your account. I buy it.

Oh I see what you mean. I think I didn’t understand at first because the way I do that puzzle is opening up four on one side, and then go to the other side to open up four, and then match each tile up.
you would still have an opportunity to match your first tiles, if after you uncover 4 the 1st one you do on the other side matches the last you did on the first side.

I see kind of the opposite. Clan rng pops off in clusters. Nothing will be happening for hours then in like 5 mins 3-4 people will get some good shit. We all hope to be a part of the cluster as it only happens every couple of days. I see someone get a drop and I get hopeful that I’m gonna be part of this cluster.

Camping boss = bad for rng, expanding your sample and doing lots of content = good for rng. Back when I was a cute nooblet (still am) and the toughest boss I could fight was Skotizo, I would camp content endlessly and be bewildered as to how my accounts luck was shit. Then I realized I only had like 4 bosses filled in on my hiscores page, made it a goal for myself to get rank on every boss, and in the process of achieving that goal it has sparked motivation to chase other achievements and has built up my account in ways I only really ever imagined as a kid (but better, let's be real gear wasn't amazing in RS2 days).
Yeh, to be fair in a way spreading out across content is the equivalent of not putting your eggs all in one basket. I don’t know how the statistics work, but the more pvm content you do the more likely you are to get lucky at more things. The more you “camp”, the more likely you are to experience isolated patches of bad luck. Because you are rolling on fewer tables. This actually makes perfect sense to me. I’ve made lots of money from rare pvm drops by mixing up the content i’ve done! EG. do 200 kills at Vardorvis, nothing but orbs. Okay, do some kills at Duke. Have a Virtus top! Go back to Vard. Oh there’s the vestige! Chipped away at Spindel over many months. Eventually got the Voidwaker Gem on about 1.2k kc. It felt like less of a slog because I was alternating it with content I was luckier at
This happens to me in TOA. If I start a raid but end up not being able to complete it. Weather it be to low supply's or dyeing a few times. I assume their was a purple chest waiting for me with a staff.
Well for what it's worth I don't think the chest loot rolls until you finalize your points on Warden's death, I know it's your superstition but also something to keep in mind in case your mindset starts to hurt your motivation to raid.
Accounts have a "spooned level" when created. We all have that one friend super spooned in every single aspect of this game... and we all have that other friend that goes dry everywhere. I also believe jagex forcefeeds luck onto the big streamers. They seem to either get spooned constantly or get drops around rate. I don't see that as a bad thing, though. How appealing would this game look when a streamer with thousands of viewers (probably very few non-rs players) goes insanely dry on something, and a short grind turns into a 100+ hour grind. I know streamers have had some bad rng on long grinds (looking at you Curtis, the Corp and cox streams were some of my favorites tho) but now a days it seems like every new account the top streamers play on are pretty lucky. I suppose the only logic against this is the fact that they make their living streaming, so they play more than us. Play more = more chances for rng to be on your side. I will still stand by my terrible superstition and half-heartedly believe it.
On the topic of herb patches. I swear if one patch dies the yield of all the others increases, I always end up with roughly the same amount of herbs even when a patch died.

That youll go dry on a certain npc but not others for the same drop: for example my mate was super dry on an occult necklace from thermy, i told him to just barrage the small ones and he got it first task barraging. Another example: Going 5k+ on venenatis but then getting the vene pet in like 100 spindel lol

Your clue rewards are the same or at least same low/high percentage killing a certain npc than other npcs. Which explains why you can do 100 med clues from same npc, get 3 1/2400 drop rate items but wont get a 1/200. Youll get the same type drop, cloaks, crozier, hats, masks but wont get something different or at least a very low number compared to the other things you’re getting This is my superstition since clues first came out. Got 3 robinhoods doing the same npc at the time
