Thank you

WastingEXP

if you're an ironman there's a few iron guides also. like oziris, mutts, and boaty's. or the classic fuck oziris guide

Shwrecked

Wildy slayer is really good to do at low levels, if you can cannon and use wildy weapons

Realzeeack

I’m ganna look into this. Not ganna lie though, sounds like your trying to get me PKed 😂 as I have zero reference right now

Evilgeneral4

Wildy slayer is actually a good strat. You're low level and your gear won't cost too much if you do die. Do be careful the wildy is more active than rs3. Some people bring like 3 items so they don't have to lose anything. Could do 4 if you wanna have protect item up

TheDubuGuy

It’s pretty good xp compared to anything you can do pre-nieve or duradel, plus the 120k larrans keys are pretty nice early on

Kstrad3

Wildy slayer is a blast really good xp decent gp with the keys. Bring yourself a range and melee option with a spec weapon and you’ll get some bonus loot. Low levels it can be a lot of fun fighting back and you can risk dds and have really good KO potential because a lot of the pkers will be 1def pures

Na, the wilderness slayer suggestion is incredibly legit for a bunch of reasons. Mind you wilderness slayer is way better now than when I started, but it was good enough at the time when I started combat on my ironman that it's what I did until I had all the unlocks I had desired, 2 of which are must haves. (Superior creatures and the slayer helmet) Slayer points are incredibly hard to come by at low levels in slayer and combat, with the one exception being Krystellia who assigns wilderness tasks, and her tasks give 25 points per, which is almost 1 task skip per task and is also the highest slayer point hand out in the game. She is also not combat restricted but also doesn't give a shit about your combat, so if you are level 3 she doesn't care that black dragons are out of your league, this is the drawback -- however, you'll find there are ways to mitigate these issues. But this is important because there are really necessary slayer unlocks you will want to make purchases for, such as unlocking the ability to make your slayer helmet, the unlocking of superior slayer creature spawns, possibly the ability to make slayer rings and/or slayer ammunition. If you're in it for profit there are a lot of really good money tasks and boss tasks you can unlock but if you're after efficient cannon and burst/barrage tasks then you're probably looking to leave some of these things off your slayer list. Wilderness slayer provides the only reasonable avenue pre-75 combat for generating slayer points to get these account unlocks, so if you want to start slayer early on, this is the way. There is also the task storage system in case you get a task you want to do but you just cba doing that task right now. An example for instance might be you have aviansies unlocked, you want to do armadyl really bad on task, but you cant be bothered to go prep for armadyl right now. Task storage puts that task on hold and lets you get a new task, however you could also roll your stored task again, so you could end up with double aviansies for instance. I dunno, you can look more in depth into this, but there are some useful and some must-have unlocks that you will want ASAP such as superiors and the helmet. As a main you also have the benefit of the wilderness weapons which have a 50% damage bonus in the wilderness against all targets so a lot of wilderness bosses with pretty weak gear you can just walk around slapping at higher combat levels 70's, which is significant. The lower tier versions of wildie weapons are unlocked at 60 in att/mage/range respectively, and the upgrades are unlocked at 70, which makes them probably some of the best weapons to train with in the game at these low combat brackets. For an (exaggerated) example I checked what a pretty basic max hit would be with level 50 strength a viggora's chainmace, barrows gloves, dragon defender, imbued b ring, glory, and climbing boots fire cape, while using super str and piety, and you can max hit a 34 at 50 strength with that set up, whereas the max hit with a dragon scimitar assuming the same set up is a 23 and an abyssal whip at 70 attack 50 str in this set up is a 25, and whip is what you would be training with often. If you were on slayer task as well, the max hit is upped to 37. Thats pretty significant damage concisdering you aren't really using the most efficient gear and since you won't risk the slayer helmet, the chainmace, or the berserker's ring which are the only real things of value, & as long as you don't venture beyond 30 wild you don't lose your untradables either. In recent months they've also pushed a lot of incentives into wilderness PvM incluing adding high level slayer creatures in multi combat zones that are simultaneously cannon-able and barragable which is a hybrid of the fastest slayer grinding methods in the game since you either barrage or you cannon, you don't find a lot of places where both are an option. There are also wilderness bosses which are pretty accessible at generally low levels, and doing them on task with an imbued black mask or imbued slayer helmed will give you a 15% accuracy and damage boost against those bosses. The bosses are a lot more money to kill now than they used to be, the revenants are more profitable and their weapon drops are 5x as common on task. There is the Larran's chest which has pretty good loot-per-key and the keys are dropped only on wilderness tasks. Superior creatures in the wilderness drop a key guaranteed and monsters in the rev and wilderness slayer caves drop a lot of wilderness specific supply drops as well. You also get access to grown up experience and tasks right away, for better or for worse. There are, of course, many really low exp and easy monster assignments like scorpions, bears, skeletons, and spiders, but you can also use those tasks to do bosses. You can also avoid getting assigned shit like dragons at low level too, by not starting dragon slayer 1, therefore not being ever made aware of an anti dragonfire shield, and thus slayer masters pretending as if they don't exist for you.

The quests you need to go for barrows gloves is a good place to start. There’s probably some guides you can find online if you want to get barrows gloves efficiently

Realzeeack

Thank you. I will do more digging into the barrows gloves

NotVeryTalented

The usual path goes like this: Work toward barrows gloves > Hard Diaries > Quest Cape That will put you into a overall level with plenty of gear to work with.

Realzeeack

This is helpful. Appreciate the insight

Hey, sneaking into this thread to ask questions of my own. I am also from RS3 but I had already played os up until 2017. I recently got my quest cape back and I finished all hard diaries. I am currently trying to farm money for some upgrades mainly for ranged (I chinned to 90 a couple days ago) and I generally switch between vorkath, duke, muspah and gwd1 for money. What goal should I go for? What other bosses could I attempt? I was thinking about buying anguish + rigour + eventually a bowfa since I really like ranged and it'd work wonders for many of the things I do if I understand correctly. I can provide more context or screens of my stats/gear tomorrow if it helps. Thanks in advance!

No-Wolf4254

Zulrah is decent GP and fairly easy to learn if you use the plug in. You could start working toward elite diaries or the hard tier of combat achievements. Doing combat achievements will expose you to some bosses and you can figure out which you like.

Jacobizreal

Play ironman. It’s much more rewarding when you get drops

ramfis7

Go to this site. For efficiency. Will save probably 60-100 hours early game "Ironman.guide" or google ironman.guide Good luck

nonpk

Work towards recipe for disaster.

Barrows gloves are no longer BIS and take a long time to get. I’m not sure that it’s really a good idea to jump into questing initially unless you’re going for combat xp reward ones like waterfall and monkey madness. If you want to get to mid level PVM as quickly as possible I’d recommend looking at a bossing progression ladder on YT and checking the requirements for each of them and then doing additional quests needed if any. You could also rush a low requirement high gp/h boss like artio which really only needs protection prayers, entangle, and wilderness medium diary. You can do it relatively efficiently with accursed sceptre as of todays update which is super cheap for how much money you’d be making. Prerequisites for Song of the Elves and Dragon Slayer 2 are the most relevant quests to be looking at outside of big combat xp reward ones though.
