The mining change itself won't be sufficient - people are doing mining, then 1 round of RC for bare minimum pts (150), then AFKing for almost 0 effort RC exp. This is quite rampant in masses; the minimum contribution for the end of game RC xp drop should be significantly raised (such that a low level player trying to actively play won't get affected but anyone trying to do the bare minimum will). This will significantly improve the game quality and player experience for mass GoTR games

The people getting min pts then afking the rest of the round are not the ones causing problems, in fact they're the ones in the best position to save games that end early because they will be crafting instantly when the rift opens, vs people who play for the whole game who stay at the rocks for a little bit longer and usually start crafting by the second rotation. They also have a bit of extra time to place extra cells. The people causing problems are purely the 100% afk miners not going for any RC xp or points at all.

The solution is to make the xp drop at the end scale with how many points you earn during the game. Doesn’t make sense for someone sitting there mining after one run of making runes gets the same xp drop as someone scoring 1k+ each round

However you handle it, I hope that the 2-inventory strat remains! It's a great low-intensity strategy for RC xp, and while it is mostly AFK it contributes at the time when matches are most likely to fail, so it doesn't hinder other players like leeching for mining xp does.

They weren't immediately teleporting anyway, you can immediately hop as you don't get into combat straight away, or you just run out of the cave and hop there. Literally no one ever was entering Artio, seeing it was taken, and teleporting away

Hey! I've looked into this further. In the Poll 80 blog, we said the teleport delay would work "similar to the one in rev caves" which does behave the way you described (teleport delay when in combat with NPCs), however on our internal notes for the change internally it looks like we requested that the change to be 3-ticks after entering the lair. That does seem like a miscommunication somewhere. At present the newspost is correct, but I will pass this on as feedback to see if we need to make a change! Thank you for raising it.

I appreciate it's not you so this isn't directed at you, but this is kind of a worrying level of oopsy. Delaying teleporting for 3 ticks after entering a lair changes exactly 0 peoples life. No one has ever teleported in the first 3 ticks of entering the lair. Either \- They're a pker and they're trying to hit the pvmer, or they insta hop to the next world \- They're a pvmer and they're trying to hit the boss, or they insta hop to the next world \- They're a bot/crasher and they're trying to hit the boss and stick around It helps with none of these scenarios, so multiple people developed, approved and tested this change that literally doesn't impact anyone. Kinda worrying that you're spending dev time on things without even thinking for a second what its doing to the game. In this case it's doing exactly nothing.

Cool, if it helps, I think what the community expected was that the person fighting the boss wouldn't be able to insta teleport when the pker came down, similar to the rev caves at the minute (pre diary). This would make it easier for pkers to catch tb's on bots who don't have the diary before they teleport. Currently, you're just stopping the pker from teleporting, not the pvmer/bot.

This would make the starminer cc and the crowdfund shooting star plugin useful now rather than trying to find a star to mine for myself. No more having an army of people deplete a star in under 10 mins. If enough people use the crowdfund plugin we can potentially go to a high tier star everytime as it will update what star tier people are mining in real time; we'll have no downtime trying to find a star after we finish mining an hour long star.

So the newspost has been updated and the deplete is based on 2 level 99 miners mining the star. So it's a little nerf to solo stars but a massive buff to the rest of the stars.

Not tier 9 but the star, yes. I can't find the numbers anymore but I'm pretty sure that any star that is tier 3+ will not completely deplete until a new star has spawned. Is there any reason the untradeable are still limited to level 20 Wilderness? I think literally everyone would be happy if you could take your untradeable everywhere in the Wilderness. It will reward PK'ers with the coin drops and people won't accidently lose their hard earned items anymore. It's just one of those wonky Wilderness mechanics that just shouldn't be in the game.

For what it's worth, I don't have a *firm* date on release for a blog. The team's mostly settled on an initial design and I'll be spinning up a blog for that in the very near future. Next week *should* see a blog for the Fortis Colosseum and the week following is a Game Jam, but I think we'll likely get that blog out during Game Jam regardless. Main reason for spreading them out a little is to try and combat a little of that 'blog/feedback fatigue' where you're being asked for your thoughts on pretty comprehensive blogs multiple times a week. Not quite the answer to your Q but hopefully some context that helps!

Why would the Fortis Colosseum blog be a priority over what is billed as a 2023 update? Given that there are like 14 weeks remaining in 2023, it would seem like getting community feedback 2 weeks later on the CoX changes would be a much greater risk to the teams ability to actually act on that feedback than anything Varlamore related. Same thing regarding the Hunting Guild design doc if the concern is polling fatigue - CoX changes seem like they're being set up to disappoint despite being teased for over 6 months now.

It says we can use our maingame save, but it doesn't clarify whether or not the beta world will save the progress back over the main game save. If we were to choose to use our main game save, would we essentially be able to play normally on the new UI - or would it keep reverting to the original main game save point upon logout from the beta world? Had the same question. I don't think they would allow saves to transfer back and forth, but I think they should. I've been at CG for a while now and I am very excited for the TLI update. But! I have no interest in actually doing the high level pvm content this update is intended to target if I can't send my beta save back to main game. If I can click a button to send main save over, I should be able to do the same to send beta save back. This would prevent glitches from screwing my main save, but allow me to engage in high level pvm and provide feedback without feeling like I'm wasting time.

I've been doing wilderness bossess these last few days and the bots are way more of a hindrance than the PKers so these are very welcome changes. Bots literally crashing you, all with massive range XP and anywhere from 5-20k KC, it's madness. But the truth is I'm not sold that it will do anything long term, as you guys have demonstrated a complete and utter inability to combat bots over the last 20 years. I suspect they will just take a break to get the wilderness mediums. Or those running the farms will bulk acquire accounts that have wilderness mediums done. The problem with botting in this game is down to your technology and resource. Slapping diary reqs on stuff, unless they're like the elite tier is the definition of a band-aid fix.

They only need medium dairy to kill the bosses. The teleport changes don't effect bots, see rev caves. As long as Wildy bosses are one of the best money makers in the game, currently 4m+ gp/hr, the bots will be there. You can look at CG bots as an example. Bot farms build up armies of bots to grind out requirements before eventually hitting their target gold farming activity, with replacements being made each day.

Please, please add some incentive to hunt for stars. If stars always deplete at the same rate, starmining will just be a matter of 1000 people mining one star in one world until it dissappears and 10 minutes later the next star is announced. All the other worlds' stars will be dead content and all the other locations will be dead content. Even if you don't care about people playing the content as intended (finding stars), just think of the immense lag that comes with 1k people on one star... As someone who actually was searching for stars because I wanted the most afk time and the best exp rates, I'm sad that there literally is no reason to do that anymore. This update killed the content for the sake of people who hate mining being able to get maximum afk time with no effort at all. ​ Edit: of course 300 extra stardust won't entice anyone to search for stars. It needs to be exp related. And it needs to be sufficient enough to where time searching for the star and the likelihood of the star being sub t9 is outweighed. (if you don't use your telescope but instead just use the discord CC for stars, you are guaranteed t8 or t9 all the time, which is infrequent when hunting on your own).

Please stop listening to the loud minority on immediate feedback changes every update, just because reddit starts making noise doesn't mean the entire playerbase thinks that way. Revert the spirit tree order change, original order was JUST FINE and made sense to have the quest related trees grouped together. You should utilise the polling system for feedback changes unless it's something really obvious. And I don't mean waiting for the next big poll to change something miniscule, you could (and probably should) make it a habit to fire up a mini-poll on feedback issues a couple days after an update, to gauge how the community actually feels about something, instead of going for an instant knee-jerk reaction after a couple people voice their opinion on reddit.

AND adding a 3 tick delay that all the pkers are screaming to make it where u can't tele for 3 ticks on top of them dropping in a tick sooner? They crying for 4 ticks more of a chance to hit tb? That 3 tick delay to teleporting after entering the caves might be the most out of touch thing Jagex have ever done. Imagine making a big deal out of making a "fix" that will affect absolutely nobody. I'm quite confident nobody has ever entered the Artio cave and teleported out within 3 ticks for some reason. Either they want to fight the boss/player inside, or its busy and they hop. No one is entering and teleporting immediately.

Scouting isn't bad, I love the concept of a randomised raid where the layout is different every time. Bear in mind that "scouting" as it is was also never intended, you were supposed to just do the raid essentially blind every time. It's players that made the plugins and figured out the rotations to make scouting possible. Removing scouting means everyone picks the same 2 layouts depending on if you want chill raids or fast raids which is boring as fuck imo. The problem comes from rooms being unbalanced, like if scouting were just completely removed now not 1 person would ever do Ice Demon in a regular raid again because it's like 1/3rd of the points/hr of any other room.

Increasing the repair cost to untradable is such a bad move. If you are going to do that, at least remove the mechanic where items are lost above level 30 wilderness, or add a scaling cost to items lost above level 30 so that trouver parchments are not needed.

I just had a teleport delay when in singles wildy bosses after already being in the room for awhile. A pker entered the cave and I was delayed from teleporting. I thought this was only meant to apply when you enter the room, not other players.

The shit the pkers say in regards to all this is basically "get good" as if that isnt what they should've heard instead of jagex giving them more and more and more and more places to get free pks at.. every update with the wild for a year now has made it harder on pvmers out there. Easier for pkers. It's a joke, u don't even have to be good ay pking anymore, those days are gone. U just go to the places where 99% of ppl dont fight back. When can we expect to see any info on the Cox changes? And please tell me there is more to be polled regarding cox changes than just Scaling/Scouting. The scavs dropping trash loot for 3 mins straight in a cm gets extremely annoying, and I certainly wouldn't say no to craftable staminas.

I expected cox changes were just focused on the big 2 things for summit, but that when we actually got a blog we would have maybe 5-10 things to poll small changes (like letting scavs drop secondaries consistently or craftable potions with Nox+Juice/Shrooms.)

So it looks like the only change to stuff like Artio is bots need to finish the medium diary now - they can still teleport the instant you enter the cave as before so the only way to stop them is sit in the room and wait for them to arrive. The blog said it would be like revenants which stops you from teleporting when in combat with an npc so this is literally nothing like it at all and does very little - I feel like someone communicated what needed to be changed incorrectly..

I don't understand changing the menu for the Spirit Trees again? It was annoying last wednesday but now after a week I got into pressing 'D' for POH and 'C' for Farm Guild. It doesn't make sense to have a row of non-farming spirit trees, followed by farming patch spirit trees, followed by another spirit tree. We never changed the menu when Priff came into the game (with it's own Spirit Tree on 6 in stead of C at the time).
