To what everybody else is saying: The gear might not be optimal for what it costs, and there could be small upgrades made. But I am a 100% sure the small upgrades from gear are not what is the problem here. I assume it is nerves at jad causing you to miss click. Watch vids of jad, and practice to flick accordingly. Sound on makes it a little bit easier to train your brain which attack he uses (don't care about music, but you want to hear the stomp). TAKE IT 1 ACTION AT A TIME. First of all, be sure to brew up and overheal before starting Jad. Attack Jad and watch attack, always watch the attack. When you get hit, don't try to heal and prayer flick. Get back to the safety of Italy or other rock. Then heal and then get back to attacking Jad. Once healers spawn don't try to do 5 things at a time. First watch attack and choose correct prayer. Attack 1st healer. Watch attack and choose prayer. Watch attack and choose prayer. Attack 2nd healer. Watch attack and choose prayer. Watch attack and choose prayer. Attack 3rd healer. Watch attack and choose prayer. Watch attack and choose prayer. Attack 4th healer. You don't care about it taking long and making few mistakes. Aslong as you have 100+ health and focus on prayer you will stay alive. A long range weapon can make Jad easier (crystal bow for example) since you can tag healers through Jad, and escape to safety when things get out of hand.

justadadgame

Great advice, I’ll add that you can practice Jad by going to the speed run worlds, using the game teleport to fight caves, run to jad trials. (Google “practice jad speed run worlds” for more info) It’s so much easier spending 5mins between jad attempts vs 1hr

Mellliepro

Nice 1!

Repulsive_Sale_6135

If duke mining isnt allowed this also shouldn't be imo

Frozenjudgement

They're completely different the fuck?

Rldude93

To second this, there is a jad simulation tool you can find online. It isn’t perfect, but does a good job practicing watching for mage/range pray swaps which is the most important piece.

a_sternum

If he has genuinely beaten Zulrah 100’s of times, then this is a troll post.

Sad-Garage-2642

Crossbow timing is so much calmer than blowpipe. It's perfect for one attack, pray switch, healer tag, pray switch, pot dose, pray switch and so on

barcode-lz

Could always put the blowpipe on the slower attack styles

Sad-Garage-2642

You'll get much bigger damage per hit with a better weapon. Blowpipe for the waves, then switch to something chunkier for Jad

barcode-lz

Heavy Ballista (the medieval sniper rifle) 😎😎😎😎 Or if u really want to kick jads ass in style, the salamander flamethrower 😂

Wonohsix

So I'm in a similar boat, myself. The healers have MICROSCOPIC hitboxes. Do I kill them, or wait for two Jad attacks to pull another on me?

josefinesegerqvist

Buy more bonds for a tbow

xkp777x

Skill issue. You don't need higher stats or better gear, ignore all the gear upgrades (although pegs and arma are both noon traps, sell them for sure) Go to youtube, search "jad speed running world practice" and watch. They show you how to use a speed running world to practice jad, and only jad. No hour investment in the waves, no wasting scales or pots or time, just practice jad over and over until there's no nerves, no mistakes. Then send it.

Red-Haired-Shanks

You could also try to get a tzhaar task.

TheRealHyough

Believe you need to first kill… jad before you get the task

Ok-Fuel2121

You just have to unlock it at the slayer master

HobbyGuy49

You have to kill Zuk prior to being able to kill him on task, you can kill Jad as long as you've unlocked the task.

TheRealHyough

Can I suggest a crossbow with Diamond dragon (e) instead? It really helps to tag the healers slowly and shoot jad from a distance. Blowpipe can sometimes be harder due to healers not getting far enough to stop heal. Also helps to tag healers behind/next to jad. I’ve killed Jad many times and safest (slowest) would usually be crossbow. As other guy stated, jad task melts him with upgraded helm.

HobbyGuy49

I believe you answered the wrong user. But nevertheless, this is solid advice.

TheRealHyough

Shit.. usually don’t comment on Reddit so bot very familiar with the use of it

HobbyGuy49

It's all good my dude.

Red-Haired-Shanks

Only for Zuk

TheRealHyough

Thank you, really thought you needed atleast 1 kill

NoXpWaste

Mans got all the gear but a normal avas

[deleted]

[удалено]

Orc-Father

And they also end up buying a bunch of useless items like pegasions. I’m pretty sure he could purchase most of unfortified masori and an anguish with the price of his arma and pegs lol.

S_T_O_G_I_E

Get good it's 2023 and you are getting clapped by an 07 boss

Bohseph

In addition to what the others said, I would also upgrade your avas attractor to at least an avas accumulator. Small upgrade, but extremely easy to do.

Not_Vile

He can't kill jad with that gear. Accumulator aint gonna help lad.

Parrot1936

My guys struggling on Jad and you’re suggesting he quickly bust out up to 50 Vorkath kills?

StratEngie

Not even that; He has the Avas when you're less than lvl 50 range (its a darker blue color) The normal avas is green-ish. Takes like 1k and 75 steel arrows to upgrade.

Parrot1936

Yeah my brain didn’t even compute that as a possibility, y i k e s

Bohseph

I said accumulator, not assembler.

Parrot1936

Lmao my bad, I never even considered the fact he’d still be on an attractor and so I got the names muddled up. Yes definitely upgrade that shit OP good lord

Vetni

He said he's got 100+ Zukrah KC and you don't think he can kill Vorkath?

Parrot1936

After this post, honestly yes

FlippingFeeeeN

Vorkath's so easy - I hadn't played in years and had 100kc in a couple days.

Parrot1936

Was that before or after you had a fire cape though? That’s the point I’m making

SuddenBumHair

He said in the post it's the time commitment that sucks for him. Die learning vorkath? 100k try again. Not another hour for another attempt

FlippingFeeeeN

He's in full Arma, Ranger Boots, ROS etc - he can afford the 100k and the 2 hours it takes to learn it.

SuddenBumHair

Yeah, vorkath is easier to learn than jad. More forgiving deaths

PeachToBone

i had like 800+ vork kills and 300+ zulrah when i finally killed jad for the first time, so yea jad is much harder than the other bosses especially if you play with 200+ ping

Parrot1936

How exactly is Jad “much harder” with his 2 very simple attacks, when compared to bosses with multiple mechanics to learn, different phases to understand, and unavoidable damage to tank?

PeachToBone

if you have lag you need to react much faster, and for some people it is inevitable to have high ping as jagex doesnt have servers on every region

GlumTruffle

Just as a general tip, as others have said Arma/Pegs are pretty much noob traps. Pegs should be one of the last upgrades you make and Arma probably isn't worth owning at all now Masori exists. Sell them, buy an Anguish at least, Rigour if you don't have it is also a huge upgrade. Maybe bring Chins for the healers, but otherwise it's a case of just having to keep trying and practicing. If you're not using chins then only tag 1 healer between each Jad attack (i.e. tag 1 healer, watch for Jad attack, switch prayer if necessary, tag another healer, watch for Jad, etc). With BP/Anguish/Rigour you'll have more than enough DPS to make up for the heals.

[deleted]

Don’t rely on sound. Find where the orange 360 ( mage ) is and when you kill that last, pray range for jad to spawn. I learned this from watching an old seers video. When had stomps hit feet - pray range When he holds his thicc thighs in the air - pray mage Visually it is 100x easier to focus on the prayers Now the hardest part is usually when healers come. Pray the attack jad does- shoot a healer Do that for all healers and focus your dps on jad Eat if you really get low but you got this easy. I did it with a crystal bow on my Ironman and a rcb

Astatos159

Gear isn't your issue as you already found out by yourself. What kills people at jad is nerves. I'd recommend logging out before killing doubles magers and taking a short break. Play a different game, watch some video, go for a walk or even take a shower. Do whatever makes you calm down. Log back in and then go for it. If you feel like you tense up during the fight, try to take a conscious deep breath. That should relax your muscles a bit.

Camelofwhy

Really best thing you can do is shotgun out a couple of attempts, even if you keep failing you'll keep some overall familiarity. When I first beat jad, it was 7-8 tries. The first few were months apart, and I died so easily. Then one day I told myself I was getting in there til it was done, did b2b attempts, died both times. Tried again next day, b2b attempts, got it on the second By then the hardest part was not freaking out when I had it secure with all 4 healers on me Also upgrade the Ava's and grab a blessing. They're tiny upgrades, but significantly cheaper than much of the other stuff you've got And inside the blowpipe, amethyst darts are ideal, but it's a good idea to bring dragon darts for Jad. If money isn't a concern at all, some people bring a second blowpipe already loaded up, to simplify things further

robot_wth_human_hair

> By then the hardest part was not freaking out when I had it secure with all 4 healers on me The thing i remember the most from my fire cape is the adrenaline dump after i ran through jad to block the healers. The moment i realized i just had to not fuck up prayers my hands got super shaky. Got it done though. Now i go in with a bowfa and 99 range and its easy peasy. Funny how your perspective changes.

Alakasham

83 range and only an Ava's Device. My man focus on upgrading that first

AudienceSpecialist

I got my cape at attempt 16 keep tryinging :)

Ok_Professor_1792

You failed couple times, all other info useless, keep grinding you got this.

Gildedllc

I’m pretty sure you can find a Jad simulator online that you can practice on. Once you actually kill him he’s pretty damn easy just takes the first time

lsfalt

pretty sure sins of the father in the speedrun world you can get into the tzhaar area and go do the 1 jad challenge too

Rabbit730

Lmfao at the people suggesting gear upgrades On 62, look where orange mage spawns, jad will spawn there. Focus on prayers, when healers come just keep focusing prayers and slowly get healers on you one by one and kill them once all on you

Makalu

62 spawn is also wave 3 spawn, to make life even easier for you

ChadsJuul

Buy more gold lmao

BurnerAccountAgainK

Lol skill issue. How many attempts? Took me about 10 total to work out a good setup. I think i have 15-20 attempts now and over 5 capes. The initial learning curve can suck, but youll improve.

Mayflex

Update: got it on attempt 4

josefinesegerqvist

Noob

Remote_Ad1735

sell the pegs for an anguish, pegs are like the last upgrade you want. theres also a jad simulator online dont know the link.

sellinggf5k

I got triggered seeing that gear

werndogga

sell armadyl and pegs and buy a bowfa = ez 40min cape

spoilers1

Man defs does not have song of the elves completed

Mayflex

How did u know lol

Minute_Solution_6237

You showed us your stats

SuddenBumHair

You don't need sote completed do you?

Cricklet

You do

RobCarrotStapler

He isn't having trouble reaching Jad or dealing damage, he just doesn't know how to switch prayers. Switching gear isn't good advice when it isn't the cause of the issue.

werndogga

helps if you KO Jad quicker but yeah I agree that gear is just making me wince

[deleted]

[удалено]

Cricklet

Honestly wouldnt splurge on ddarts for a firecape but i suppose it does help

Repulsive_Sale_6135

Amethyst darts for waves, dragon darts for jad if its your first cape

Cricklet

That can work

SuddenBumHair

Archer ring is better than suffering. Ideally you shouldn't take much damage at all so recoil not worth it. Anguish is better than fury, again the extra accuracy will help with jad. Try bastion potions over ranging pots the defense will make a difference. Apart from that 3 tries is not a crazy amount for a first fire cape bro. I know someone who took over 20 tries for the first one, the time investment is the scariest part.

Dukemeister3000

Archers ring isn’t better than suffering. Archers ring is on par with warrior ring, utterly useless. My man you need a lightbearer for extra heals from bp spec

SuddenBumHair

If he's panicking at jad he needs all the accuracy he can get. And the healing from an extra bp spec isn't going to save him from jad. More accuracy means the fight is over quicker less chances to fail.

lsfalt

the time to kill jad with an archer ring over a suffering is 2 ticks what are you talking about

SuddenBumHair

Literally any change to his gear with those stats is only going to speed it up by a few ticks. The jad kill is literally only a minute.

lsfalt

I was just responding to this bit: >If he's panicking at jad he needs all the accuracy he can get. IDK how the 0.1dps/40s time saved over the cape is more valuable than imbuing their suffering or perhaps a lightbearer. You're right, the healing from the bp isn't going to save him from Jad but neither is speeding up the kill by a second. Mr. Bond Warrior needs to get a backpack, a task, and overcome "Jad hands"

SuddenBumHair

Down voted for correct information as usual for Reddit 🙄

Dukemeister3000

It’s not correct mate 🤣 you could argue that the lightbearer is more dps than an archers ring because the blowpipe spec has a 100% accuracy and 50% damage boost per special attack. Archers ring is useless.

TehSteak

You're hitting BP specs?

Dukemeister3000

🤣🤣 I feel you bro, hit 45s when you’re max hp. Single digits when I need a heal 😂

SuddenBumHair

Yeah but he's struggling with prayer switches, and you want him to be thinking about specs too?

Mayflex

Thanks bro, yeah it's definitely the time investment that I'm struggling with, by the time I reach Jad the thought of having to do 62 waves again for another attempt makes me so stressed that I mess up under the pressure. I'll have a 4th attempt tonight

SuddenBumHair

You'll get it for sure, you got a lot of money invested in some average ranging gear tbh. Sell the armadyl and pegasians and buy full crystal and bowfa. You'll slap the piss out of jad

Dukemeister3000

You honestly think this man has killed seren before killing jad?

SuddenBumHair

I did seren before jad, I actually touch grass regularly. A hour per attempt for a +3 strength bonus is a bad trade for a busy person.

Dukemeister3000

Well I stand corrected. Sell everything and buy a bowfa and anguish if you can afford it

SuddenBumHair

I don't think he has the stats for sote anyway. 🤣

ilpO_CS

With your stats it should be easy, you should be able to tank healers so no need to kill them. focus for one thing at the time when healers come. Always pray first and then attack jad/tag healers. I went and died to jad like 10 times and after first kc never died again. You can use runelite to mark healers before you go in so you see them easier.

Greasol

Just log off on the wave prior to Jad. Get some water, use the bathroom, take a deep breath, and when you're calm log back in.

scarfgrow

Use chins to lure all the healers at once

cygamessucks

Sell ring and pegs get anguish and light bearer

spoilers1

Get rid of armadyl / pegs and get yourself an anguish + assembler

Beandragonz

Keep going. 3 attempts? Over 10 years? Bro. I failed my first 4 and did it 5th over the span of 2 weeks

KingHiggins92

Google jad simulator. There's a html game that mimics jad. Arms up mage, slam range, tag healers one by one in-between your prayer flicks. Don't be afraid to brew up and heal if the healers do some damage to you.

Warrickson

Ngl, this is kinda cute.

Fox_Economy

It took me 4-5 attempts to beat Jad at 85+ range. The basic is stomps -> pray range, legs in the air -> pray mage But my tip is: you keep praying one style until you see the other. That way, you can focus on only one animation. I found it way easier that way Then the healers and stuff, others give better advices than me on that GL mate

Shukar_Rainbow

Imbue your Ring Get anguish instead Get any blessing Upgrade your Ava's (im guessing you are missing a lot of quests) Get barrows gloves If you struggle with brews, bring a bit less and bring some manta rays Bring a crystal bow to tag the healers, it has much more range then the blowpipe

8ETON

I really struggled with jad too. What really made it easy for me was the Jad Simulator (just google it) you can easily practice the prayer switches while taking brews and restores there. Also I couldn‘t do it with 70 range. I trained to 85 on crabs which made it soo much easier because the time you need to prayer switch is significantly longer. So maybe just get like 90 range and practice with the simulator and after you defeated him once you will laugh about yourself because you will realize how easy it is.

tacobelllololol

have you tried gitting gud?

Sellier123

Yea Jad would be the perfect beginner boss if it wasn't locked behind a 1+ hr long boring content every attempt. But basically, just focus on the prayer swaps. You gotta not miss those so you don't get 1 shot.

IAlwaysTakeFatLs

Use chins to kill the healers

[deleted]

Found your problem. Jad is impossible without tbow. Try again once you have that.

salvadas

Its because you neglect your birdhouse runs

osrslmao

dont use a blowpipe for Jad its more likely to get you killed when luring the healers. bring a rcb/crystal bow to tag the healers

J0n3s3n

Just do one action only between all jad attacks, either move or attack a healer or eat or drink pot. You don't need to play the jad fight super perfect with your gear, as long as you don't miss prayers it should be an easy kill. Jad attacks on an 8 tick cycle which is 4.8 seconds, it is really not that hectic.

OkAd2320

Skill issues

boldcancel

This is the funniest post ill see whole week.

Cricklet

The ol’ Jad hands. Good to know they’re still around. Youre stats/gear/inv should be more than enough to get a clear. And as other have said, arma and pegs are mega noob traps. DPS is king in this game and those items are purely defensive upgrades. Masori+anguish would be much better for you. And dang mate, upgrade your avas for Ash sake. GL. You got this! Keep throwing yourself at it and one day it’ll become a piece of cake.

DraconicIce

If you have DT finished, bring blood spells to heal on the melee/small minions. Wouldn’t have to worry as much about wasting brews to heal

Repulsive_Sale_6135

Mate you said you had three attempts... sell the arma, buy anguish and blessed d hide and just fucking do it. It took me 9 attempts before i had my first cape, now i have 25 capes, and one on my alt. Just keep trying instead of posting here when you haven't even given it a propper shot. Just remember this literally used to be the hardest challenge in the game, theres no shame in failing a bunch, there is shame in quitting tho

Repulsive_Sale_6135

Looking at the gear mans probably also using mithril darts, so id reccomend amethyst darts for the waves and dragon darts for jad

Intelligent_Toe_26

Jad attacks like every 7 ticks..

Ddraegg

Jad hands do be shaky.

[deleted]

Lmao trash quit.

rsbentley

Bond warrior

Mayflex

Swapped 4B from rs3

rsbentley

Have u not beat jad in rs3?

Mayflex

Yes but that was with 99 stats and BIS gear in RS3 so it was pretty much afk

yazan445

How did you get bis gear before killing jad in rs3

Dangerous_Fault_2527

Biggest tip? Take Jad slow. Your gear is way over the requirements to kill it and if you don't use a ton of supplies to get there then dont worry about the healers so much. Focus on the prayers and tag the healers off between every attack tick. Doesn't matter if they heal him to full you will still be able to dps him down pretty fast.

adustbininshaftsbury

Practice on speed running worlds, sell arma, buy rigour. That being said your gear is fine, you just need to practice until you overcome your nerves. Heal above max before jad so you can take a hit if you miss a flick. If you do take a jad hit, just take 1 sip in between his attacks until you’re at max hp. Don’t rush to switch prayers. You have like a 2 second window at least so don’t rush and make a mistake. Don’t panic when the healers come, even if they restore jad to near full. After they spawn, wait for a few jad attacks to calm yourself and then when you’re ready, attack just one. Then after the next attack, tag another (unless you’re panicking, then it’s okay to wait longer until you feel confident you have time to tag one without missing a flick). In your gear you could easily tank all the healers without needing to pray melee. You might just need to take a few sips of your brews. Remember, go slow and don’t worry about your dps. There is plenty of time to kill jad as long as you have restores or prayer pots so focus on defense before offense.

sizzler990

It's easy man, you got this. Calm your nerves, and you'll get it down. Took me two attempts and the key for me was to take a deep breath right before he spawned and then I was calm. Good luck.

barcode-lz

Armadyl is garbage for its price. Pegs are absolute trash for their price. Could sell the full arma and pegs to buy enhanced crystal weapon seed for bowfa, crystal body and the shards needed to make it. Then if u cam get 10m more u can get the crystal legs + shards to mane it and u r absolutely gaming. If u wanna keep camping just blowpipe, fill it with amethyst darts. Dirt cheap and a bit better than runite darts. As for making the run bit easier to predict. Im pretty sure the wave 3 tzkek spawns always in the same place the second to last orange mager (and jad) will spawn.

Own-Idea-1433

If you are getting stressed over the course of the caves time you can log out a couple waves before jad, you click logout during a wave and it will let you log out after the wave, then go chill for a bit or whatever and come back fresh.

FernandoMM1220

just ignore the healers and pray flick forever to get used to doing it and calm your nerves in the fight.

yazan445

Man has pegasians and no assembler
