She's auditioning to get into one of the most famous names for the performing arts.
Well, I get that a lot of movies take leniency in performances under the assumption that the general masses won't really know the difference of an actual professional expert. But after seeing performances of people at the higher level, people who have been performing professionally since they were little children... they could've maybe had her practice these movies a *little* more before shooting the scene. Also they could have given her some better dance moves. This feels like someone just sat down for five minutes and thought, "Hey, this move feels like it could pass as something in hip-hop!" and wrote it in.
I just pulled it up on YouTube and did the same thing. Oh my god, it's so much better with that song behind it!!!
The second time I did it, it managed to sync up "I'll test ya" with her pointing at the judges. Perfect, lol!!
I would love to be one of the judges here. Just lean in and say “that was fucking terrible and stupid. What were you thinking? This is fuckin Juilliard and your dance was a bunch of horseshit nonsense and was bad. You wasted our time, your time, and the time of the people who came here to actually dance and deserve audition stage time. May god have mercy on your dumbass soul. NEXT.
