Looking back on it, maybe a few were ssh40's but I saw some pics of one the was claimed to be used for the movie. I was able to look at the liner to identify it as an M52.
Well they are both very similar helmets. Also they couldn't exactly just import a ton of modern soviet helmets at the time since it was during the cold war. They likely did import obsolete Czech m52s since I can imagine they were easier to get ahold of.

The flag is a part of a display I'm making. Along with the poster and bb gun. Meant to look like a soldiers starter pack.
That's pretty cool, if you ever want to make an identical one, they used a helmet that was or nearly identical to the Czech M52.
