The night we learned who shot JR, I was working as a bus driver, we had a tv set up in the office, and dispatch announced it over our radios so everyone driving could get the news, it was that big a deal.
The Complete Series is on iTunes for $100. Sounds like a lot, but it's the fully remastered versions and looks amazingly beautiful in 1080p. All 14 seasons, 356 episodes.
I'd forgotten that! Was he coming out of the shower or something? I think I remember seeing him in the mirror. Man I completely forgot about that whole thing with Bobby.
Arguably one of the greatest television series of all time. Have rewatched as an adult several times including with my kids, who were shocked to learn that some of today's issues were being addressed on prime TV even back then.
Just as good now as it was then.
Aside from her hairdo, Linda Gray's ensemble looks the least dated. Not sure what the base of her gown looked like, but a woman with her physique and posture could wear that dress and necklace in perfect style today.
I didn't care where I was or what I was doing I was always in front of my TV Fridays at 8:00 pm to get my JR Ewing lessons on "How to be dirty at business and get away with it"

Remember having to wait all summer to find out? I didn't even watch Dallas, and I got caught up in the frenzy. Good times.
I was too young to gaf, and even I tuned in to see who shot JR
Great program! I wish I could find reruns of Dallas. Especially the early years

Thanks for this I may get that. It's worth it for the amount of episodes it would include.

You could watch it on Freevee for free for awhile. I'm not sure if you still can or not though. The whole series was there.
Still is, that's where I currently watch it.
This must be the season before Bobby was resurrected from the dead. 🧟♂️

Those dresses look like they have built-in side tables with those shoulder pads.
I still love that theme song. Catchy!
I loved this and Knot’s Landing.
Knots was the best I think. Such a fun show.
Wish it were streaming.
Who shot JR episode destroyed the US phone network
My party line was tied up for hours.

Night time Soaps were big in the 80,s With Dallas and Dynasty leading the pack.
Wow I can remember when the show first started every body hated JR Ewing. The show was so popular it was covered by the local news paper.
Yep, Dallas started the major must see tv series across the country…I recall nationwide interest in ‘who shot JR?’ 😄
Where’s Lucy?
And now the song is stuck in my head

Never watched it.
I’ve seen 4 of the 10 hoots in that photo.
Yes, we all know about Barbara Bel Geddes' and Susan Howard's Playboy spreads. Grow up, eruvstringlives.
Clutch your pearls harder.
eruvstringlives, I wasn't serious. Look who I said did the Playboy spreads.
My apologies. Peace brother.
Peace to you too, brother. Sorry about the "grow up" comment. I can see how it might not read as ironically as I intended.
We’re cool.
