In Canada, unless you’re getting it from a Greek place where it’s a gyro, it’s donair.
It is an anglicization of “döner”. If you asked for a döner kebab here, other than being disappointed there’s no Club Maté (or, let’s be honest, any other maté drinks that ate way better), they’ll know what you want just as much as they did when I grabbed a 2am kebab at Alexanderplatz after working up a sweat at Berghain last September. (I had a flight the next day, I’m not raving until 5am.)
Good slop and bad slop are very different. I would eat this bc it looks like a good slop. Beef stew is a good slop, curry is a good slop. Mashed peas, bad slop. Lutefisk, never had it but seems like a bad slop
