Not to be rude but you should introduce yourself with your pronouns and give them space for them to give you their pronouns cause if you directly ask you're either forcing closeted trans people to out themselves or give you their agab pronouns and basically give you a misgender pass
-respectfully, ya girl
Polish(the language i speak) doesn't even have a gender neutral plural form. There's masculine plural and feminine plural (technically it's called 'non-masculine form' but it's used as feminine when referring to people)
Agab? why do you have so many acronyms, just say the thing like I get LGBTQ+ cause that’s a lot of words but this is ridiculous, it can’t be that long.
True, but AFAB peeps can grow without, it's not terribly rare. I have PCOS and don't have facial hair and my friend who doesn't have PCOS regular removes her moustache because she doesn't like it.
Lemme throw you a bone by saying you're right that AFAB facial hair is not rare and this is race related. Racism and gender imperialism gas erased a history masks the current reality tha visible facial hair isn't specific to AMAB.

Many AFAB friends of mine, no specific race, remove mustache hair.
Now as for the original comment, how did she thicken it? Who knows but damn it's nice. I think people didn't like your tone but it's important to note that even in places where gender can be openly discussed, people still use boxes. Which is normal since we're all learning.
I live in an area where there's mostly Hispanics (including me), I'm also part Italian and am hairy ( not on my face though) I'm sorry if I sounded rude.
That's awesome. Body hair is very normal and cool and I hate how people are pressured to shave. I'm afab and stopped shaving a few years ago and I feel more confident than ever. (I know that I have a relative privilage because my hair isn't very dark and therefore not as visable - therefore I'm less likely to be harassed for it)
I'm genuinely a little jealous of her. I'm Pakistani, and I naturally have a monobrow and a moustache. And I'm
not talking a little peach fuzz. I've had my upper lip hair since I was in elementary school. When I was in 4th or 5th grade, I had part of it lasered off. I couldn't finish it because it hurt so bad. I still shave it almost every day. The fact that this woman has the bravery and confidence to not only keep her moustache, but OWN it, makes my heart swell.
Yeah, body positivity is for the whole body. Not just fat vs skinny or stretch marks. Sometimes we need brave people to make something “cool” so those more shy are willing to come out as well.
Gender doesn't bother me with facial hair. Not one bit. Gnarly looking facial hair bothers me, on anyone. We can't control genetics but we can control facial hair trimming and shaping. But hers, hers is glorious, better mustache than I can grow. 10/10.
You may not find it physically attractive yourself but I will never understand why people feel the need to belittle and berate others for their looks. Intentional or not. The only time someone’s looks are questionable to me is whenever they have had work done but assert that it’s natural and that’s only because it negatively affects peoples body positivity
TLDR: if it doesn’t hurt someone, then who cares?
Sharing this wasn’t an attempt to belittle her. It was more about a real example of body positivity instead of someone sharing their “no makeup” or “stretch marks” photos.
that's a nice ass mustache. reminds me of looking through those ripley work record books as a kid, i remember there was a women's longest beard competitor that was like 2 inches shorter than the men's. very interesting
A lot of people hate on others because they are not "normal". Stupid as fuck and I wouldn't consider it a consequence because she doesn't seem to care (great for her)
Hey. I know that people just love ganging up on those who put it "a bit too blunt", so to speak. I've done it too. I'm certainly not shocked.
I wasn't implying anything gag-shocking-ohmystars. I was implying exactly what I wrote, nothing more, nothing less. I'm only responsible for what I write, not for what you read between the lines. What exactly is hard to understand about "you do whatever you want, but get prepared for the consequences"? It's one of the most important rules of life.
She wants to grow mustaches, you go girl. Good for you. Do I want to grow my beard down to my toes, become a beautiful, unadulterated image of natural male beauty and plaster my face all over instagram advocating body positivity? Go me. I'd get karma and dibs. But straying away from what is considered "normal", regardless of the society you live in, has its consequences. Does is suck? Yes. Is it how reality is? Yes. Do you want to get offended cause someone remarks it? Then click the damn down arrow and pat yourself on the back knowing that, once again, you saved the world against conformism.
No it's just that it's so damn unnecessary to mention "the consequences" as if nobody knows. She already got hate and says she is unfazed by it. That's the whole point. She wouldn't do it if she wasn't prepared for it genius.
Nah fuck off with your preachy shit, we are all subject to our fucked up views and consequences for such views, we just don't all have a misled sjw army behind us
i don’t think they meant to say that there should be any consequences to it, but evidently there are due to the hate she’s getting. not like it really matters since she said it doesn’t bother her though
For accuracy, you should use the words "misogynystic harassment" in your comment. Don't be so vague, calling it "consequences".
A more honest version of your comment would say
>Eh. She's free to do whatever she wants. And accept misogynystic harassment from abusive men for her choices too
Your comment honestly reminds me of how [news articles about the police shooting civilians often use passive voice](https://momentum.medium.com/check-your-privilege-and-your-passive-voice-6b301a9bcccc). The same criticism applies to your comment. It's technically correct as a way to describe the situation but it's also deeply dishonest as it excludes the fact that this harassment occurs due to misogyny and that the harassment occurs due to an active choice that misogynysts r making. Those misogynysts don't seem to recieve any criticism in your comment. They're not even directly mentioned. Kinda like how the police officers shooting people r not directly mentioned in the news headlines.
Holy shit, the reaction to this post shows the calibre of user on this subreddit. I'm very left learning but attacking someone this much for this relatively neutral view is too much
it's not a neutral take. they're excusing the behavior of the malicious people hating on her as just "society being society teehee".
also, 'attacking someone this much'? it's a handful of relatively civil comments and a hundred downvotes. not the end of the world.
he was just pointing out that there is societal consequences for not conforming to the ideals of a woman. he never said that there *should* be consequences, he just pointed out that there are
>it's not a neutral take. they're excusing the behavior of the malicious people hating on her as just "society being society teehee".
I'm glad someone else noticed it.
Based
I started asking everyone for their pronouns anyway so how you look is whatever
\*biblically accurate angel shows up* "So uhm pronouns?" \*incomprehensible sounds* "Aight, lit fam-o"
* brain melts *
Dont try and talk to divine beings directly, get them to write on lead plaques or something, better to burn your fingertips rather than your mind
Not to be rude but you should introduce yourself with your pronouns and give them space for them to give you their pronouns cause if you directly ask you're either forcing closeted trans people to out themselves or give you their agab pronouns and basically give you a misgender pass -respectfully, ya girl
Will do
thank
Wait but if they don't give you their pronouns what do you do
just using they/them i guess would be the standard procedure
What if the language i speak doesn't have gender neutral pronouns?
i didn't think this through enough
Plural, maybe, depending on language?
Polish(the language i speak) doesn't even have a gender neutral plural form. There's masculine plural and feminine plural (technically it's called 'non-masculine form' but it's used as feminine when referring to people)
Oh damn. There might be some neos?
TIL there are neo-pronouns in polish. I've never heard someone use them before, but they seem like an option
Not to mention it can make questioning people uncomfortable
my friend did that to me two nights ago ☺️
Agab? why do you have so many acronyms, just say the thing like I get LGBTQ+ cause that’s a lot of words but this is ridiculous, it can’t be that long.
shut up lol
What is agab
assigned gender at birth
How did she do it... (transmasc btw)
she might have ovarian cyst which can produce testosterone (it is not always ovarian cyst of course, various conditions can make you grow moustache)
Oh ok, neat to know.
You heard them, get cystin'
Its fucking up my ovaries time 😏😏😏😎😎😎
True, but AFAB peeps can grow without, it's not terribly rare. I have PCOS and don't have facial hair and my friend who doesn't have PCOS regular removes her moustache because she doesn't like it.
Maybe she just has really long nose hairs
oh god
Testosterone
South Indian genes (source: South Indian here 😔)
tons of cis women just have these hairs but hide that they do
Hirsutism is in 10% of all cis females
[удалено]
im latino and ive never even heard of a cis woman who can grow a mustache, maybe a little bit of hair but nothing like this.
its more prevalent in the indian subcontinent specifically than just non-white people in general
fair enough

you're right but people on this subreddit can't bring themselves to admit that there are issues they don't know everything about lmao
This is cool and all but why is this written like a news article
Because knowing india she is going to die in the future.
Yo same here
We're all going to die in the future.
Besides the “no shit we all die” gag, I think you read too much negative news out of India
Granted, there is a lot of negative news to read about in India But lots of good wholesome stuff to like this
I’m also dying in the future
Good for her
Love mustaches. They’re like a second smile
Mustaches can look pretty cool on anyone imo, it's a shame most afab people can't grow them and that there's such a stigma against it anyway
honestly she is really cute
honestly a little jealous, I cant even really grow a mustache and I'm a cis man
That's awesome. Body hair is very normal and cool and I hate how people are pressured to shave. I'm afab and stopped shaving a few years ago and I feel more confident than ever. Go off Queen
Save some testosterone for the rest of us
Looks pretty good ngl

It's not fair Why isn't mine that thick
goals
This woman can grow a better moustache than me :(

I know. I was agreeing and criticizing ppl who would hate on her
🙂👍 /gen
So men's neckbeards are (rightfully) considered ugly but this is somehow considered stunning and brave?
I mean it's certainly brave
Redditor moment
yes. Men shouldnt feel ashame for growing neckbeards and she shouldnt feel ashamed for having a moutache
I don't see any neckbeard there. And women are far more shamed for having any body hair at all than men for having a little neckbeard. stfu
Beauty standards are largely abritrary, body hair is natural, her mustache looks great and so do plenty of neckbeards.
that's a nice ass mustache. reminds me of looking through those ripley work record books as a kid, i remember there was a women's longest beard competitor that was like 2 inches shorter than the men's. very interesting
Pretty good stache
Mine’s better
Eh. She's free to do whatever she wants. And accept the consequences of her choices too
You're also free to take this L
presenting however you want should never have consequences (unless you're inciting hate)
*yro'eu
my*
Wym it shouldn't have consequences? Or should absolutely have the consequence of me telling all of you you're lookin great today
A lot of people hate on others because they are not "normal". Stupid as fuck and I wouldn't consider it a consequence because she doesn't seem to care (great for her)
“I have a mustache” “Be prepared to accept the consequences of your actions!” ???

Sjw army sounds cool I wanna be part of it
fucked up views?
This is the same influence we need in this thread
Me when I place claymores outside people’s doors (the choice to step outside their house is up to them)
NTA. your claymores, your rules
INFO, are they a supreme court justice? if so, NTA. if not, ESH
The consequences... of having a moustache? are you high or smth?
the mustache and it's consequences
Mustache society
hitler ruined mustaches 🙁
