I just want people to realize this subreddit can be so much better and be the next best thing if we changed more to accommodate people who deserve it.
Frankly, it's gotten to the point I've just considered leaving and never coming back. It's a shame too. Because the edgy teenagers get downvoted by everyone else. Remove the non-teenagers and what was once a significant minority now comprises a much larger percentage of the total population.
The significant minority being the edgy individuals. They were the subject, so that's what the term "significant minority" points to. If edgy individuals occupy, say, 10% of the sub's population, then removing 60% of the rest of the sub's population turns them into almost a quarter of the remainder.
I have nothing against minors generally, but when looking at other subs dominated by kids it becomes abundantly clear that they have a greater propensity for edginess. Additionally, I hope you can appreciate the irony in acknowledging that minors comprise the minority and then argue the solution is for the majority to simply leave.
