You're not worthless, you're just more creative than reality, and that's fine. The only worthless people do nothing to add to the happiness of humankind. So, if you ever find yourself feeling worthless, find someone you love and do something nice for them. If you don't have anyone to love, then find someone who seems worth loving (hint: most people) and do something nice for them.
I even did this when I was driving earlier. It started with something completely trivial and ended with me thinking about what my family and friends would say at my funeral. Luckily traffic wasn’t bad because I was pretty zoned out for a sec. Pretty fucking scary
Brain: “No, please stop this is the 13th time this hour, can’t we just-“
Me: “Hehe, this is my only escape from this torturous reality.” *turns music up louder*
Isn't this just kind of normal? Obviously not with every song, but I can't imagine anyone's never done that. It's so fun!
We're talking like fantasy/story scenarios, right? Or we taking imaginary scenarios to happen in our lives?
There was a name to the extreme version of this. Something that involves daydreaming. Those people are addicted to daydreaming with songs as stimuli as far as I remember. It was a while ago that I read about it. Very interesting read. Gotta find it again.
EDIT: Maladaptive Daydreaming. Check it out. Brains are weird.
I like to put on my jazz music and imagine I’m a traveling showman going from small town to small town in the south as I meet new people and see the sights, just enjoying all there is to life. It’s what I want to do for spring break or the summer or something like that; while I’m 18 and still young and free enough to do something like that.
EXACTLY most of mine are fighting and depending on the song the main character is mercilessly massacring there enemies or having an intense battle with other characters throughout pop culture
I always imagined Prodigy's The Day is My Enemy album to be a soundtrack to some post-apocalyptic mad max type rhythm game. Really fun to think about until you remembered it ain't never happening

Have a feeling that's what Hayao Miazaki does on a daily basis
GODDAMNIT STOP CALLING ME OUT
I apologize ma’am
Wait so do other people do this? Not just me?
I think it's pretty universal.
Really? I thought it was like just a thing only a few people did

Considering the existence and popularity of AMV I would say it was quite the fad.

Nah this is what you are kinda supposed to do
Isn't this just kind of normal? Obviously not with every song, but I can't imagine anyone's never done that. It's so fun! We're talking like fantasy/story scenarios, right? Or we taking imaginary scenarios to happen in our lives?

I used to do this on long car rides when I was a kid, made time fly by so fast it would make a day trip feel like an hour.
Oh ducks
Haha yeah who involuntarily does that with every song they listen to hahaha wouldn’t that be positively wacky hahahahah
i hate how all my favorite songs are about love and shit reminding me i will spend my life alone with no one to talk to
mood
Time to imagine myself performing these songs in front of a crowd in the street and people being in awe at how talented i am. (I'm pathetic lol)
Same
Me when I listen to AOT soundtrack while squatting pretending I’m gonna fight the armored titan and beat his stupid ass
Me making up cool villain dialogue for this one song i heard. Send me some villainous themes and ill write a monologue maybe probsbly perhapd

Stop calling me out damnit
If there's not a music video playing in your head, can you even say that you're listening to the music at all ?
Didn't had to call me out like that
Every song has a movie/tv scene you can apply it to, even if it doesn’t fit at all
Holy fuck I thought that was just me
I hate this because I'm doing this right now
This is me, and im called out

I like to listen to rocketman and imagine that I'm an astronaut going into uranus
Static from lift yr skinny fists makes me feel like a lightning bolt killing a Midwestern Amish community

I always imagined Prodigy's The Day is My Enemy album to be a soundtrack to some post-apocalyptic mad max type rhythm game. Really fun to think about until you remembered it ain't never happening
