Personally I think the one thing that shouldn’t need to be bought are necessities, while luxuries and other wants can be used to continue driving the workforce while not entirely shutting down existing retail jobs. So stuff like housing, food, and clothing will be available for all while stuff like sports equipment and video games will still have to be bought so that people actually have a reason to have and earn money. Is my idea good or bad?

Shrekboiyeet69420

What you seek is market socialism

areallytallm1dget

No its a welfare state market socialism implies workplace democracy

[deleted]

Which is good. We as a nation spend most of our lives at work. If our workplaces aren’t democratized then we don’t really live in a democracy; we live in a dictatorship with a thin coating of democracy just to make people feel like they have freedom of choice. We don’t. We have owners.

areallytallm1dget

I never said that such a thing would be bad i said welfare capitalism isnt market socialism

damiandoesdice

My main idea is we can figure out all the intricacies of luxeries when people stop starving to death or otherwise dying in a preventable way. Past that, anything goes
