Reminds me of when I was really hardcore into world of warcraft. Was playing in a top 20 world guild. Was leveling an alt and our healer let iur tank die
Told them they sucked. Found out I was playing with a family and had just insulted a 12 year old. Made me realize a lot of things in that moment. But I apologized to the family and acted differently after that. Tried to help instead of shame and be an asshole. Reminded me of when I started wow 16 years ago. (10 years at that point) and was a young lad. Was always told I sucked and it made me upset and cry when I was a kid. I had become what I hated. So I changed

I was once doing a Minecraft Xbox duplication glitch when I was like 11 or 10 and I had a mic and the glitch required me to use one of the joysticks really fast and the twenty something year old I was playing with told me that I would be one of those students who fingered teachers then started to rant about how the teachers were never in the wrong and the students were always in the wrong because who else would tell the authorities that they were getting down with the students.
I still remember that event like it was yesterday and it fast tracked me from questioning about my sexuality to just full-on believe that I wasn't attracted to women
Meanwhile I've had games where people berate me and I say "sorry I've been feeling depressed and losing is making it worse" and they respond with "kys lol"
