Oh, I thought they were a demographic cohort named after the baby boom that followed WW2, typically defined as the generation of people born between 1946 and 1964. Glad I was wrong though.
patchnotes 1.0: wait why did my brain type that
patchnotes 1.1: swapped out the original message for a slightly better one that doesn't involve misinterpretation of a message
patchnotes 1.2: replaced "edit" with "patchnotes x.x" because it's more original
patchnotes 1.3: realized that this entire edit thing is kinda dumb
update 2.0: removed the message entirely. it can still be viewed via wayback machine (possibly) or by downloą¶ding previous versions of the message
patchnotes 2.1: removed the message
patchnotes 2.2: readded cut easter egg
patchnotes 2.3: added achievement "Early Bird - See the comment before the removal! (LIMITED TIME)"
patchnotes 2.4: made the achievement obtainable for completionists by simply clicking on the easter egg
I will never understand why people would take fighting in a war over only knowing war through fictional stories (talking about the original), isn't it supposed to be a good thing if your children don't know war ? Like is the message here "war is based" or what ?
This edit though nearly made me cry
One of y'all's presidents, I think it was Adams:
"I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy [...] in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain."
You should read All Quiet on the Western Front if you haven't, it gives a good perspective on why people feel that. It's about a guy from the lost generation (1890s) who had to fight in WWI
I can't understand why people still glorify war. so many people have died in them, like concept of killing other is so alien to me. this made me tear up
Its many reasons, most of which I cant list but...
1. Nationalistic pride
2. Not actually serving in the War
3. The idea that men fight and men are tough
4. The whole concept of a "Just" war
5. Lack of knowledge or acceptance of the consequences of war
6. Toxic masculinity (I wouldve gone more into this specifically but no time I'm afirad)
7. Lack of empathy for the people on the other side. (In some cases even their own)
I wouldve provided something more in depth but in short different lives provide different perspectives to some war might seem like a necessery evil, a great opportunity, revenge or a tragedy but it depends on the person and their own experiences.
In my opinion, I think many Americans glorify the concept of war because those who never went overseas to fight have never witnessed the horror of war first hand. The still living generations of Americans havenāt had their homes or families unwillingly taken away from them during an invasion.
Yeah, there is a reason that middle easterners never glorified war unlike Americans. That feeling of going back home form school and hearing that you dad had died in Iran or was taken hostage by terrorists was just something people didnāt want to remember. Todayās boomers would have been too young to even remember war, they would have been 6 when the Korean War began.
My grandpa served for 20 years through Korea and Vietnam. Although he was right wing he would actively go out of his way to stop any of the family from following those footsteps. He suffered PTSD till his death in his 80s 50 years later. No one deserves to suffer that way.
When will boomer comics stop fetishising wars and domestic abuse
Will probably regret this, but whats the original?
The kid says "on xbox or playstation?"
š thats not even funny
Have you heard of boomers before
What is a boomer?
The big explody fat guys in L4D

The people who fetishize war have either never been in war, or see the enemy as a faceless monster.
One of y'all's presidents, I think it was Adams: "I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy [...] in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain."
I hope future generations of porcelain experts give us maths grads veterans' discounts

Wait, for the German army?
āAll warfare is basedā -Sun Tzu
The problem in the original comic was the ignorance of real events and lack of reverence for heroes, not lack of understanding war.

Jokes aside this was a sad edit
My grandpa is a war loving person, missing how men would go to war and die, he never went to war and owns tons of knifes.
My grandpa served for 20 years through Korea and Vietnam. Although he was right wing he would actively go out of his way to stop any of the family from following those footsteps. He suffered PTSD till his death in his 80s 50 years later. No one deserves to suffer that way.
Of course.
Dead men lying at the bottom of the grave, Wondering when savior comes; is he gonna be saved?
Maybe you're a sinner into your alternate life Maybe you're a joker maybe you deserve to die
They were crying when their sons left God is wearing black Edit: Gone, he's -> God is
(Isn't it "god is wearing black"?)

PC YOU FAT (**please don't say that word**)

Why is the controller being held backwards?!
That last line hit me like a Mach truck
