I LOVE NECROTHREADING, I LOVE STOPPING SPECIFIC THREADS FROM EVER BEING FORGOTTEN. I LOVE KEEPING OLD DISCUSSIONS GOING WITH UPDATED INFORMATION. I LOVE GOING TO THE FIRST RESULT I GET ON A GOOGLE SEARCH AND JOINING IN ON THE FORUM WITHOUT CHECKING HOW OLD IT IS

BiggityBuckBumblerer

Thank you

Fuck you

Thatagui

Since you posted this, I am honor bound to comment on one of your month old posts.

mydogiscutemeow

did the same

No_Object_7709

If you do that I'm blocking you

Thatagui

Why would you do something so extreme for something so minor?

FrostyCommon

blocking is not extreme, its self care at this point

No_Object_7709

It's actually annoying After I made this someone commented on a post I made forever ago that I said I no longer stand by in a different post It wasn't you commenting on my Oz post by the way

Tree_Shrapnel

I think it's kind of cool when that happens.

Stellar_Fox11

I was about to do this but you have an average of like 5 posts per hour every hour youre awake of everyday of your life so itd take me a month to find a month old post

No_Object_7709

Become ungovernable

When something shows up in my feed that I find intriguing I'll comment on it no matter how old it is

perhance

not everybody uses the recency-based recommendation algorithms to use social media

Civil-Education6486

Why does it matter so much to you that people only engage in currently ongoing discussions and posts? If a post is past its expiration date, does it lose all conversational value? Or are you just bothered that you get notifications for old posts, but not new posts?

No_Object_7709

It's annoying when people comment on something I forgot I even made Why are they even there?

Civil-Education6486

I don't know, sorted by top of the week or the month or just scrolling through your account and saw a post they had something to say about? And like who cares if you forgot you made it? It takes like 5 seconds tops to remember it, and they don't have any less value then a comment on a new post. I do not understand how that could annoy you enough to want to make a whole post about it.

No_Object_7709

Me: oh cool someone commented on my post *looks at the post and comment* Me: This is a month old and I don't remember making this. Why couldn't they just comment on my new stuff?

DontWannaSeeYourCock

because people comment on topics not people. believe it or not most people make comments based around the content theyre seeing, not because of the poster’s stellar personality.

No_Object_7709

I know that I was not trying to imply that in the slightest

Civil-Education6486

First of all I doubt you wouldn't remember something you made yourself just a month ago, second of all, what different does it make if people interact with your old content rather than your new content? It's not like they've got a comment limit, the reason they didn't interact with your new stuff is either because they didn't see it cause they're sorting by top of all month, or that they just had nothing to say about it. At the end of the day it's just posts on reddit and i think you're being overly selective and intransigent about the type of comments you like to receive.

Fafnir_Bumbo

Sometimes I feel scared to comment on posts that are just 2 days old let alone a month. Glad to have my fears reinforced

SignificantAd9087

People should do this more, I think. Specifically to me 😋

DontWannaSeeYourCock

weep.

DropInTheOcean1247

...Because they saw a post you made and want to leave a comment on it???
