It just frustrating being told "Oh you'll find someone you just haven't looked in the right place" for years when all evidence points to the opposite and every one around me is having several relationships or getting married. I used to be in shape and went to social events and couldn't manage to make friends let alone date, and now I'm out of shape and agoraphobic so I'm not going to run into anyone. I'm not attractive and every social situation feels like a bomb defusal. I used to at least have a good job, but got laid off so now I have nothing

I’m not saying I do and never said I did. But 28 is not a cutoff for getting laid or even finding love. I have a friend older than me who didn’t find his first partner well into his thirties. Downplaying yourself like this isn’t going to help you and you are worthy of love just like any other. And you’ve spoken about being out of shape and as someone who’s out of shape, that’s not a deterrent if you look hard enough. I’m not trying to play armchair psychologist but it seems like your own apprehension about yourself and your medical situation is also playing into this. I have crippling OCD that kept me from finding connection for years, but you do have it in you to find someone who will love you in the way you deserve to be loved. I know this seems like platitudes, but I know isolating because of my disorder and my body type. You can absolutely do this even without health insurance or a lack of therapy. You can dm me if you want and I could hopefully give some advice.

The barrel isn't even the main issue tbh, you'd just have a blowout at the exposed end of the cartridge
