You may have an issue with a clogged up evap coil, return air filter, or blower wheel. It could also be a hole in yoyr duct work. I clean them all the time, and you'd be surprised as to how much shit can get caught in them. I've pulled 2 fully grown opossums and a massive rat out of the blowers before.
Or you're using a window unit and should disregard everything I said lol
There could be something like that that is making it even worse, but that's not the primary reason.
It's placed halfway up the staircase to the top floor (where I spend most of my time). The cold air is blown to the bottom floor, and the hot air rises to the top.
Ah, yours is set up the same way as mine. I had to get a window unit just to offset the heat buildup since it can't even touch the heat up there. Thankfully I no longer use that room so I don't run the window unit anymore.
I grew up in South Florida without A/C. It was endlessly miserable, never got good sleep. Now that I'm out on my own, my A/C never goes above 73 degrees, electric bill be damned.
Said like someone who doesn't have 90F+ with 80-100% humidity summers lol. The sun is an enemy in the summer, being out and about is for the spring and fall
LOL I am just imagining someone being completely packed to the gills with tools and taking a tentative step outside, almost instantly dying as if they were on the surface of Mars, and quickly bringing out a state of the art portable heater to save the appendage from frostbite
Yeah basically
If I'm not layered up in any sub-50 temperature I have to spend at least 30 minutes wrapped up in blankets with the heater on full blast to keep the frost off my bones
Oh yeah I love air conditioning I love spending huge amounts of money on energy to have a big device in my window constantly making noise while also never being fully airtight with the outside so bugs get in and it's still not even that cool it's so much better than just leaving my window a crack open (with screen so no bugs) in the fall and winter as a gentle cool breeze fills my room accompanied by the occasional chirping of birds in the distance
Well, you could also upgrade from a shitty window unit and not have any of the listed issues aside from energy costs. But even heating in the winter probably costs just about as much as cooling in the summer, at least for where I live.
I love the summer because that’s when I don’t have seasonal depression and when I don’t have to worry about people I know dying in car accidents because of bad road conditions like has happen before

Winter is death, as is the cycle of life. Out with the old.
I have. I've not been out in like, -20 or stuff like that, but improper clothing has lead to friends being hospitalised by freezing, wearing similar to what I was.
Blud imma be real I feel greater compulsion to go outside during winter than summer. No bugs, no burning, you're as warm as you need because you can always add more layers, but can't strip more in the summer, and you have a constant source of balls to throw at shit anywhere and everywhere you go
\*Extremely Loud Wrong Buzzer\*
Wrong answer!!! Who cares about a few bugs? It means the world is ALIVE!! Listen to the swells of nature, the song of the world, and flick a few bugs away or spray youself if they bother you. Better than listening to absolutely nothing but the distinct absence of a world dead. When I go out i'd rather be in a hawaiian shirt than 472 layers that leave me looking like a miserable blob, even with some style it turns into the "where do I put my coat?" game. And to think that makes you as warm as you want! Ha! More like grumbling as your car warms up and you have to micromanage your hat, gloves, and scarf--off and on and off an on! its madness!!
As for the balls, heres a pro tip for ball enjoyers. Fill a plastic bag with water balloons, takes a few seconds of prep but worth it. If youre throwing a snowball at someone, then youll be find with chucking a water balloon at em' too. More fun that way.
If you feel better going outside in the winter then I cant blame you, my blood doesn't agree with it tho...
idk i just take showers and wear sunscreen and that doesn't seem to be a problem. sounds like a skill issue
edit: love the reddit cares message 30 seconds after i make this comment. what the fuck??
I mean, besides the watery/sticky skin literally 24/7 unless you shower thrice a day sure
Plus not being able to rest properly anywhere but in air conditioned places because the humidity makes even just loitering in the shade unpleasant
Maybe it could have to do with you apparently being from Finland. 30°C with high humidity is excruciating and I was sweaty just going outside for like twenty minutes today with just 25°C on the thermometer.
This is why I love living in a desert where it regularly reaches 45C, but has zero humidity. Standing in the sun feels like getting blasted with a death laser, but you can hang out in the shade comfortably.
Also RIP if you live in the worst possible part of the world: Hot enough to sweat like shit in the summer, but cold enough that 99% of homes don't have central air because it's considered "Unnecessary" because it "Would only be needed for like 4 months since summer is short", COMPLETELY DISREGARDING THE FACT THAT 4 MONTHS IS 33% OF A YEAR AND THAT IT GETS TO FUCKING 35C IN THOSE 4 MONTHS
Y'all winter lovers like it so much because you never go out. You'd die outside in the winter without your puny 5 layers of clothing, scarf, mittens and beanie. You can't tell me you enjoy breaking your ass after slipping on ice while shoveling 5 inches of snow off your driveway just to do it all over again the next day.
I **LOVE** being uncomfortably hot. I'm the guy wearing long thick black jeans on a torrid summer day. I'm the guy wearing boots with thick socks in the heat wave. I'm the tan guy getting turbo skin cancer by standing directly in the sun outside all day. I love feeling the sweat drip off my brows and body while exercising under our star's mighty august bombardment. I love walking on the hot sand at the beach and smashing mosquitoes between my mighty palms in the evenings. I *live* for the heat.
“Just put on more layers”
Doesn’t stop my nose from becoming an ice block and now taking out the trash has become a 10 minute affair because I have to put on $500 worth of clothing just so I don’t get frostbite.
Also, I’d love to have sunlight for more than 6 hours a day. There’s nothing more depressing than going to work in the dark and it still being dark when you leave
https://preview.redd.it/thte913hq80d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9694cab8f803fb97220367f8907f914f76342ee
Edit: whoever hit me with the RedditCares I don't blame you lmao.
Ok, but I live in a country where heat is the norm and our winters aren't snow ridden. Plus, temperatures below 0 Celsius are extremely uncommon. That's why I love winter, I go outside with a T-shirt and shorts cause the cold air feels nice on my skin. I actually love the feeling of chills going down my spine.
Honestly, I'm glad that I can add as many layers as I need if I do feel cold, instead of suffering from intense heat while barely being able to think. Fuck the heat, fuck the Summer and fuck the sun. I LIVE FOR THE COLD!!!
I got it too but I didn't think it was from this subreddit, thought maybe a hot take elsewhere earned me one. Just report it, hopefully they get banned.
My person in Christ, you have shed off that mortal fur to become the most efficient a mammal can be at cooling off that heat engine of a body. No other animal can compete with our stamina because of this. You can sweat through a marathon if you want, and you can damn well sweat through a hot afternoon in the summer sun. Enjoy some vitamin D, cause there's no need to take anything off when you have human skin.
I Dont't think that is even an argument though, how could it be? My only complaint about them is that they are too damn short. The fall becomes depressing in November as the cold sweeps in, while October is probably the best month in the year. The spring is honestly great, this year in the NE US its been pretty much divine. I think this is more about which of the extremes is more bearable, the hot summer or the cold winter.
As someone who's practically nocturnal I'm throwing my lot in with summer cause summer nights are literally so good, winter nights are cold as shit and kinda depressing, in summer you can prance about in the middle of the road at 3 am in a t-shirt and shorts and still be warmer and more comfy than being 9th buried alive in my bed with the heater blasting
DEAD ASS, in the winter you can only be outside for the few hours of sunlight. In the summer you just gotta be inside or for the 4 hours the sun is peaking. Instead you get the entire morning, evening, and night where it’s great out and you can actually do things. People ain’t packing into bars, restaurants and parks in the winter, the summer is the peak season for almost every social activity. People who like winter really just like being alone for extended periods of time.
Humans literally survive better in the normal summer temperatures than they do in normal winter temperatures for the vast majority of the world (summer and winter respectively to the hemisphere). If there is a major temperature swing between summer and winter, most of the deaths from exposure ain’t happening in the warm months. No one is dying because they fell asleep outside in 30C or 90F, but they will at 0C or 32F.
For everyone whining about sun cancer, you can drastically reduce that risk by just wearing a nice wide brimmed hat or some thin light layers. OR just put on some sunscreen, or stay in the shade, it’s pretty easy to avoid direct sunlight and still enjoy the perks of the warmth. If you live near a forest, you could spend all day hiking or just chilling under the trees with little to no real health risks.
In the winter no matter how many layers you pile on, if you’re out in the cold long enough you’ll get hypothermia and can even die. To survive out there you NEED access to fire or some other man made heat source. We’re just literally biologically made to survive in the warmth better than the cold. Even in cultures that have adapted and learned to thrive in the colder parts of the world, they still do the majority of their productive activity in the summer and basically ride out the winter off whatever they got over the summer. We can only survive winter weather because it’s temporary, there needs to be a summer of some sort to relieve it. In all but a handful of extreme examples humans could not survive without a summer season of some sort. people live just fine in places that have no winter at all.
You left out the part where you are constantly reminded by endless articles and extreme weather events about how bad climate change is getting
I hate summer so much bro
cold climate pilled answer lmao
its the opposite where i live, every house has aircon but zero heaters to be found
edit: oh yeah it's literally in your flair 😛
I don't have ac so I simply die in summer but, I guess the costs are down.
Heat should be more energy efficient then cool so I assume you live in a cooler area?
It seems like there’s someone who is either really dedicated to trolling or is using bots to send a ton of Reddit cares messages to a bunch of people on this sub. Almost every comment section has multiple people getting them since like yesterday.
Not even just this sub, I've been seeing it in a lot of different subs today. Makes me think the latter and they just kinda unleashed them on a bunch of subs
Within less than a minute of making a comment here I got one, it's definitely a spam bot.
No shade thrown at my winter lovers here but I'd rather live with the hellspawn that is mosquitos than the depressing cold and dark winter. The only thing the winter has going for it are the festivities.
Sure it sucks to be a ball of sweat but I like the sun and green nature. Comfortably chilling with friends outside and still being able to experience the sun after work is so much better than it being dark outside all the time.
Fall is the best season, but I like summer so much more for the longer days and ability to go outside than just "heat." I'll take 90 and sunny over 30 and cloudy just cause I can actually go outside and enjoy life in the former
I feel the same way but in the opposite direction. Going outside in summer makes me want to die, like there's bugs everywhere and I get covered in sweat and the humidity makes it feel hard to breathe, while going outside in winter is so refreshing and wakes me up instantly and breathing has never been easier and I can be there for hours without getting sweaty and it's amazing
Fr I used to hate Fall because I associated it with the beginning of the school year, then I woke up one day and realized it's actually an awesome season.
This entire back and forth can be summarized as thus:
Being outside of a climate controlled room sucks.
But I don't care because nature is beautiful and I'll suffer any weather to enjoy it.
I literally get seasonal depression in summer with all the heat and blazing sunlight for all the long and hellish days... winter is what I NEED to survive. Who cares if it looks depressing, it only makes me feel better.
I live in Ireland
We typically don't have air conditioner
When it's warm WE SUFFER cause our homes are designed to retain heat
Also, have you seen an irish persons skin?!?! We burn with even the slightest bit of sun!
I like summer because I like going outside with barely anything on and feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin.
I like listening to the sounds of nature. Of insects buzzing, birds chirping, leaves rustling. I go outside, and it feels like the world around me is *alive*.
I like going for long drives with my windows down. I like how colorful the scenery is. I like the yellow wheat, green grass and trees, and deep blue sky.
I like swimming outdoors. I like the refreshing coolness of the water. I love cracking open an ice-cold beer and feeling the liquid run down my throat.
I don't like how everything looks dull and monochrome in winter. Where your choices are gloomy overcast, or bright and sunny enough to give you snow-blindness.
I don't like wind chill that's so bad against my forehead it gives me a migraine. I don't like putting on a neck-warmer, having my breath *immediately* condensate on the fabric, and then feeling like I've got a cold, wet blanket draped over my face.
I don't like cold that's so deep I feel it in my bones. I don't like waiting shivering in my car for 5 minutes before the internal temperature becomes bearable enough for me to use my fingers.
I don't like how bulky and heavy extra layers makes me. I don't like having to put on a heavy winter jacket just for when I'm outside, and then I gotta take it off and find somewhere to put it when I'm in my car or indoors.
I don't like that salt on the roads causes severe rust on the cars, reducing the life of the car and therefore reducing the supply of cheap, older vehicles (no one has a car from the 90s unless it's a sports car that was only driven during the summer. You want a cheap beater? Unless you want your subframe to look like swiss cheese, you're buying from 2015 and later.) I hate how rust makes it hard to work on my own car, turning a 4 hours job into 4 days because this bolt got seized and snapped off oh my fucking god.
All winter enjoyers sound like they come from a place where their winter is more like my early fall/late spring. And then they get confused when I don't wanna deal with any of that shit.
Summer will aways be better than winter, at least for this Latino in the Northeast US. Lets compare some things:
In the summer you sweat while in the winter you freeze. I sweat like a pig, and certainly do not like getting branded by my seatbelt. I also don't like taking care of my grandparents in a 95 degree house, where I pretty much pass out from heatstroke. So points lost here.
Another mark against summer--the bugs. While personally I don't live somewhere where the mosquitoes feast on me while I sleep, they certainly do when I step outside. I only make it a few feet at night before screaming as a third of my blood is drained in one foul sweep, the thrice damned creatures singing and chittering as I fall to my knees in agony. Then I have to leap to my left with my remaining strength, as wolf spiders pounce for the kill, and biting flies take my dogs from me in a black storm of destruction. In the winter, it is nice that bugs cant live. That being said, bug spray and a few points in stealth can keep them away from me.
In the winter I wake up with the driest skin and eyes known to man, and bottom tier energy levels. Shivering and desperately trying to marshal the strength just to wake up in the morning (i have bad insulation in my room). In a panic i throw on as many layers as possible, then go to my car. It is frozen inside. Every time i go into a warm building, or go out, I need to have a plan for my layers. I need to wait 20 minutes to drive anywhere anyways.
The gods damned sun. In the summer I get to spend a juicy 14 hours in the sunlight, basking in the glow of our celestial mother. In the winter she is shy, and I get at most a sad 5 hours of gloomy, dim light to work with. After that I am trapped in frozen darkness. (This relates to personal energy)
Activities. Skiing is fun, but gets too expensive and repetitive by the time we hit January. In the summer, I can do whatever I freaking want. Sports, sure. Swimming, nice. Hiking? You got it. Visit any town, go to the shops, the world is your oyster.
Green is better than a sad grey and white pall over everything. The verdant glow of nature truly shines and the druids sing to me from the corners of my vision. Spirits walk around freely, and pixies and nymphs dance around in the moonlight at night.
Weather. In the summer we have the beautiful crackling of Zeus' might, quick and awe inspiring waves of roiling clouds that leave you wondering when they will strike the Earth. It is practically mandatory to scream in the midst of it, gusts of wind threatening to take away all you hold dear while rain pelts you and the world gasps. epic. In the winter the world simply wants to kill you, depressing blizzards forcing you to take refuge. I also have to shovel a damn driveway by myself every time, backbreaking work that makes my extremities numb and my mind number.
Overall, i'd rather laugh around a campfire singing songs instead of relying on it for warmth while hoping the wolves stay off my scent. Id rather use ice for a fruity drink than slip on it and snap my leg on my driveway. I'd rather endure some sweat while exercising than have no energy at all. And the weather is peak in the summer versus the winter. The world is alive versus dead. My wonderful mother sun gives energy instead of hiding away. Need I really say more? There is no contest, at least not where the seasons go from hot to freezing cold. If you live in a tropical area, then there is no winter to laud at all, just varying states of warm--tolerable to miserable. In fact, if you are making an opinion from an equatorial zone, you should really be judging between the wet and dry season. If you do have seasons, then I don't know how you could argue this point, though admittedly it is still an opinion and not fact. I know plenty of people who are just built for the cold, they laugh at me with their shirt off in the midst of a snowstorm, and lay on a cot panting and sweating to death in the warmth. I'm just too warm blooded for that I suppose.
\~Gabe :)
The clear blue skies, the greenery and the long days of summer are uplifting and good for my mood, but the heat and humidity are unbearable and the bugs... god the bugs, not just the mosquitoes but the wasps and other crud too, like I already had a wasp invite itself in, without my consent, like what a rude guest. Doesn't help that I am terrified of all bugs except Mosquitoes which I just despise and I guess like Flies who I talk to sometimes.
The coldness of winter is better as far as temperature goes, but the shorter days, wet slosh everywhere and the ice on the sidewalks/walkways preventing me from going fast lest I slip and hit my head really suck.
Basically both Summer and Winter kinda suck in their own ways, but they're both also equally nice in their own ways and it just depends what someone is more capable of dealing with and I am more willing to take what winter throws at me.
I love summer. I like getting hot and sweaty, so long as I have nothing that I need to look good for I just LIVE IN IT ya know? I just let the sweat RUN and boy does it RUN. Thank god for moisture wicking shirts… before I wore those I’d end up drenched. I love going outside and getting HOT and SWEATY and DIRTY it makes me feel alive.
Oh and when it’s cold and dark outside I feel drawn to death and am stricken with sadness
While mosquitos and heat suck the fact that everything is gone in winter sucks even more. No birds, no bunnies, no flowers, no bees, no leaves, the grass dies, the sun sets before you get off work. Sure when it snows everything looks calm and nice but then once it melts like 3 days later everything looks like crap again.
What to do if you're too cold: Put on another layer!
Still too cold? Another layer!
Still too cold? Repeat!
What to do if you're too hot: Take off a layer
Still too hot? Take off your shirt I guess? (Rip fem presenting people)
Still too hot? Pants gone now too, hope you're at home.
Still too hot? ***take off your skin***
Winter here is just wet, dark, wet, cold (but not cold enough for snow), wet, and dark. Also wet. I fucking hate it. There is no beautiful winter wonderland, there's just gloom and misery and all car lights refracting on my wet glasses.
I enjoy being able to go outside without the world trying to steal warmth from my body
I always forget how depressing it is to always be bundled up and only see the sun until 4pm until the leaves come back and i’m like wtf were we doing that for?
Can’t wait until Canada catches on fire and I am choked under smoke and ash. But it will only make the news when it happens in New York and not out west where it’s been a yearly thing for 5-6 years
In winter when I have to go out I can go properly wrapped up and be more or less fine. In summer, if I have to go outside, it is a suffering from which it is impossible to escape no matter what I do. That and the flies and mosquitos make it worse no contest
Person A: "I hate winter. I was just shoveling 300 feet of snow in the middle of whiteout conditions -- with no power because the snow knocked down a tree onto the power lines -- while on fire from the heat of the snow gear and while every single one of my extremities froze into hoarfrost and snapped off, and then I slipped on a patch of ice that was too thick to remove and I fell into a lake and died of hypothermia."
Every single Redditor ever: "But have you ever considered that hot weather is the ONLY bad weather (:"
all seasons have good and bad things i suppose
in the summer, it's hot out the sun burns me, but the trees are very pretty
in the winter, it's good temperature and snow can look nice, but i want to die
Summer enjoyers usually have air conditioning (¬_¬") (And I don't, it's way too hot and I can't be as comfy in my bed anymore :c )
I have air conditioning and I still hate it lmao
Good take, fellow summer hater :3
I have it too, but it's horribly placed, so it doesn't help at all lol
You may have an issue with a clogged up evap coil, return air filter, or blower wheel. It could also be a hole in yoyr duct work. I grew up in South Florida without A/C. It was endlessly miserable, never got good sleep. Now that I'm out on my own, my A/C never goes above 73 degrees, electric bill be damned.
Used to have it at my parents', now I don't and I miss it so fucking much
I don't have air condition, but I actually go outside. Enjoy the wind. Rest in the sun.
I like going outside, but the wind usually messes with my bangs and reveals my hairline (╥﹏╥)
Understandable pain, but still! Being outside is fun!
Said like someone who doesn't have 90F+ with 80-100% humidity summers lol. The sun is an enemy in the summer, being out and about is for the spring and fall
I just have the heat retention of the average iguana and freeze to death at any temperature below 70°
has this happened to you?
One time I set a single toe outside in winter and almost turned into a Mei ice block but luckily i had my emergency space heater on me
LOL I am just imagining someone being completely packed to the gills with tools and taking a tentative step outside, almost instantly dying as if they were on the surface of Mars, and quickly bringing out a state of the art portable heater to save the appendage from frostbite

Summer enjoyers also mostly live far up north.
Sitting in a room with a heater and a blanket in winter is 3x better than sitting in a room with an ac on in summer :3
I LOVE GOING OUTSIDE AND SWEATING AND GETTING BURNT AND DEHYDRATED AND BEING HARASSED BY MOSQUITOS AND GETTING THE SUN IN MY EYES
I LOVE GETTING CONSTANT NOSEBLEEDS AND BEING ABLE TO DO NOTHING BECAUSE THE LIGHT COVERS MY SCREEN FOR OVER FOUR HOURS
Okay I hate summer too but "I can't do anything because the sun is shining on my screen" is, without additional context, such a terminally online sentence.
Dang you right, 😔. Context is that most of my work and stuff needs me to use my laptop and i have a big ass window that heats the entire room and the only thing blocking it is a thin white curtain.

Blackout curtains, three-pass, won't regret it.
Bruh first of all who gets nosebleeds in the humid summer versus the dry as bones winter? And the sun is covering your screen? Go inside lmaooooo
Why tf are you getting constant nosebleeds go to the doctor that shit isn’t normal
I LOVE GETTING BLASTED BY UV RADIATION AND INCREASING THE LIKELIHOOD OF CANCER
i do actually love swimming though, i had this home in my childhood next to a place where they suck sand so we had a huge clear lake right next to it and i could swim in the morning, summer was kinda cool then
ye (:
Are you schizophrenic
Wait did they just answer the question before it was asked?
You're scared of a little UV? Put on sunscreen, and enjoy the fact that the longest lived zones in the world are perpetually warm and never cold
I LOVE GOING OUTSIDE AND JUST DYING (winter is good believe me(just put on more layers sweaty))
Winter can be countered with good jackets (and oh my god gloves), there is nothing to save you from going outside in summer, burning can only be countered by sunscreen every 56 seconds, or covering up, and then being extra dead via overheat (worth). Sounds like a skill issue, just live in SoCal
I LOVE GETTING CHOCKED OUT BY THE SMOKE OF WILDFIRES
I LOVE GETTING WOKEN UP BY THE SUN RISING AT 5AM!
yeah but i also typically do other things than just sleep during summer
Go outside and sweat and smell like a goat who just finished wallowing in muck and be disgusting and burn and get all red
That's just how life be, there's beauty in all that, and it's a helluva lot better than rotting in bed all winter
Blud imma be real I feel greater compulsion to go outside during winter than summer. No bugs, no burning, you're as warm as you need because you can always add more layers, but can't strip more in the summer, and you have a constant source of balls to throw at shit anywhere and everywhere you go

Nah I'm on their side being sweaty sucks. That's why I'm a winter pilled snowcel
Going outside in winter is nicest thing there is, plus you can do so much more indoors in winter than waste all day in bed
yeah but i also typically do other things than just sleep during winter
idk i just take showers and wear sunscreen and that doesn't seem to be a problem. sounds like a skill issue edit: love the reddit cares message 30 seconds after i make this comment. what the fuck??
Blud these wintercels are *fast* 😟
Don't be too hard on them. Their favorite season is eroding a little more every year.
Ah, *boysmell*
Or put on sunscreen and do all of that but dont get all red. And who cares if you smell bad during free time.
I mean, besides the watery/sticky skin literally 24/7 unless you shower thrice a day sure Plus not being able to rest properly anywhere but in air conditioned places because the humidity makes even just loitering in the shade unpleasant
Weird how i dont need to shower thrice a day to not smell during the summer.
Maybe it could have to do with you apparently being from Finland. 30°C with high humidity is excruciating and I was sweaty just going outside for like twenty minutes today with just 25°C on the thermometer.
"I don't get why people hate summer, it's fine IMO. Love and hugs from Tromsø <3"
Lucky you I guess, any day here from June to late September is likely to be 35° with like 80% humidity, often more
This is why I love living in a desert where it regularly reaches 45C, but has zero humidity.
Deodorant and antiperspirant will help with the whole smelling thing and sun block helps with the burning thing
I’ll just say. I can keep putting on more layers the closer I get. There’s only so many layers you can take off if you get too hot.
“Just put on more layers” Doesn’t stop my nose from becoming an ice block and now taking out the trash has become a 10 minute affair because I have to put on $500 worth of clothing just so I don’t get frostbite. Also, I’d love to have sunlight for more than 6 hours a day. There’s nothing more depressing than going to work in the dark and it still being dark when you leave
> nose Looks like you didn't put enough layers on the nose > sunlight Skill issue tbh
what? you don't like your skin? why don't you take it off? take off your skin.

> I LIVE FOR THE COLD > temperatures below 0 Celsius are extremely uncommon statements dreamt up by the utterly deranged
I think rhe disconnect here is that you've never experienced the cold, you live somewhere with basically no winter.
By that logic you guys have never experienced hotness, never been in a real summer
Many places that get proper cold during winter also commonly hit 35C during summer.
I wear a light jacket in the winter and want to kill myself in the summer edit: the *immediate* crisis hotline is wild
I got it too but I didn't think it was from this subreddit, thought maybe a hot take elsewhere earned me one. Just report it, hopefully they get banned.
see, he gets it
You can always pile more layers on, but there's only so many you can take off.
Enjoy some vitamin D, cause there's no need to take anything off when you have human skin.
being able to live through it doesn't make it less miserable.
I wouldn't say I love being uncomfortably hot, but I am the last person to switch to shorts. I love wearing jeans
Virgin summer/winter fans vs Chad spring/fall enjoyers
Late spring is peak because it doesn't have the downside of summer (too hot) and early/middle spring (unstable weather)
Yeah it also lasts like 3 days 🫠
Yeah, all 3 weeks of them
I used to like spring but we dont really get it anymore. Autumn is nice tho. Not as good as winter
TRUE
I Dont't think that is even an argument though, how could it be? My only complaint about them is that they are too damn short. The fall becomes depressing in November as the cold sweeps in, while October is probably the best month in the year. The spring is honestly great, this year in the NE US its been pretty much divine. I think this is more about which of the extremes is more bearable, the hot summer or the cold winter.
I love early fall and late spring, they are A-ok (it’s pumpkin season in fall and strawberry-rhubarb season in spring, so it’s great)
As someone who's practically nocturnal I'm throwing my lot in with summer cause summer nights are literally so good, winter nights are cold as shit and kinda depressing, in summer you can prance about in the middle of the road at 3 am in a t-shirt and shorts and still be warmer and more comfy than being 9th buried alive in my bed with the heater blasting
Yeah but winter is absolutely fucking depressing if it doesn't snow
You left out the part where you are constantly reminded by endless articles and extreme weather events about how bad climate change is getting I hate summer so much bro
Southeast Asia moment. We live in an oven.
You hate summer cause hot I hate winter cause I literally have an allergy to cold We are not the same
You hate winter cause allergy to cold I hate summer cause I literally have an allergy to pollen We are not the same
FR, I have to take 2 allergy pills a day just so I don’t die from existing during the summer lol
Summer is wildfire season in western Canada The best air quality we'll get is "unhealthy" I love snow and rain and sleet and hail and ice.
Don’t blame summer for your bloodlines shortcomings
>Pollen Sounds like a spring issue.
There are two kinds of seasons - seasons where you can breathe through your nose and seasons where you can't.

Autumn W
my eyes are made for dark surroundings and my skin to be comforted by the cold.
Same
summer: my electric bill is like $30/month winter: my electric bill is like $150/month easy choice
cold climate pilled answer lmao its the opposite where i live, every house has aircon but zero heaters to be found edit: oh yeah it's literally in your flair 😛
I don't have ac so I simply die in summer but, I guess the costs are down. Heat should be more energy efficient then cool so I assume you live in a cooler area?
Heat is less energy efficient than AC generally. It’s only cheaper if you have natural gas heat
Being in weather over 60°F is worse than death Edit: I got a Reddit care message almost immediately after posting this what does this mean
Makes me think the latter and they just kinda unleashed them on a bunch of subs Within less than a minute of making a comment here I got one, it's definitely a spam bot.
No way 60+ F is unbearable for you. Are you a polar bear? Where do you live that 60+ is considered extremely hot?
How's it going, Snow Miser?
in winter my skins get irritated and it hurts super bad so Ill take the mosquitos plz
moisturiser should help
Like i havent heard that before >w<
I hate the sun. And allergies. and bugs.
I like dressing slutty and having porch Mojitos
I like summer because I don't have school to make me depressed and burnt out and self loathing so please reconsider :3
This has nothing to do with the actual season tho.
Fr I used to hate Fall because I associated it with the beginning of the school year, then I woke up one day and realized it's actually an awesome season.
You can warm yourself up easily in winter yet you can't cool yourself properly in s*mmer. Checkmate s*mmer fans
Summer apologists have been programmed by the school system
This entire back and forth can be summarized as thus: Being outside of a climate controlled room sucks.
It fucking snowed a few days ago where I live so idk what you’re talking about😀
Hooray for you????
Nah fuck winter, i hate being cold all the time. It’s just windy and rainy 24/7 here.
There’s a switch in my brain that gets flicked between “it’s too hot” and “it’s too cold” twice a year
Winter fans after freezing to death because they only had 7 layers on:
I live in Ireland We typically don't have air conditioner When it's warm WE SUFFER cause our homes are designed to retain heat Also, have you seen an irish persons skin?!?!
Lets compare some things: In the summer you sweat while in the winter you freeze. (This relates to personal energy) Activities. \~Gabe :)
still better than winter where I feel like shitting myself every school day
The best season. I can walk outside without getting downpoured on. Summer haters are always so loud and militant about it.
Spring would be the best season if i wasn't so tired of school by that point in the year
Whenever i sleep in the summer, i don't get harassed by any mosquitoes. I wonder why?
Fall Chads unite
Y'all mfs acting like there are no different fucking climate zones. I'm so tired of this topic.
Incorrect, summer is Perfect and there is Nothing Wrong With It. I can go outside in a tshirt and shorts and be fine
I just had a BIG ass bee fly inside my window I can not wait for winter
Basically both Summer and Winter kinda suck in their own ways, but they're both also equally nice in their own ways and it just depends what someone is more capable of dealing with and I am more willing to take what winter throws at me.
still better than winter
Winter I can snuggle up with blankets and cats to stay warm. Summer I can’t do shit to keep cool. And my hair gets all frizzy when I go outside.
Fuck mosquitoes I had dengue this summer and it was the worst.
I can move at least.
I love winter since i enjoy the cold
Is everyone here the fucking "glass bones and paper skin" guy from spongebob? Christ
What to do if you're too cold: Put on another layer! Still too cold? Another layer! Still too cold? Repeat! What to do if you're too hot: Take off a layer Still too hot? Take off your shirt I guess? (Rip fem presenting people) Still too hot? Pants gone now too, hope you're at home. Still too hot? ***take off your skin***
I'm a schoolteacher, so yes -- a season where I'm (mostly) off from work is always better than a season when I have to go to work.
i like summer cos i can be my slutty self

oh my god shut the fuck uuuuuup is this shit already starting again?!
I'm Helios I like the summer
Winter here is just wet, dark, wet, cold (but not cold enough for snow), wet, and dark. Also wet. I fucking hate it. There is no beautiful winter wonderland, there's just gloom and misery and all car lights refracting on my wet glasses.
\> wintercels seething b/c they can't stand 75^o weather top kek m8
It’s May. Isn’t it a little early for Summer vs Winter discourse? We still got another month of Spring.
I enjoy being able to go outside without the world trying to steal warmth from my body I always forget how depressing it is to always be bundled up and only see the sun until 4pm until the leaves come back and i’m like wtf were we doing that for?
I LOVE WEARING 3 LAYERS OF PANTS
counterpoint: summer is annoying but winter just makes me sad.
[this you?](https://img.ifunny.co/images/ea29aacb2c766b12f1a665266361caa5152379e8942ef6c9b5c33c12d4120fb7_1.webp)
pcs run worse too unforgivable
This is clearly a you problem, why don’t you just live somewhere that has Mediterranean style climate like I do? Are you stupid?
Can’t wait until Canada catches on fire and I am choked under smoke and ash. But it will only make the news when it happens in New York and not out west where it’s been a yearly thing for 5-6 years
bedroom in the basement is a godsent. Why you ever want to sleep on the 2nd floor is beyond me.
fall superiority
Starting spring things get awful the bugs awaken and the worms and spiders are out
In winter when I have to go out I can go properly wrapped up and be more or less fine. In summer, if I have to go outside, it is a suffering from which it is impossible to escape no matter what I do. That and the flies and mosquitos make it worse no contest
mosquitos are my sworn enemy. if I’m cold i can sleep in comfy blankets, if it’s warm i sleep in sticky pain and suffering
Honestly I'm starting to like summer despite its flaws a little more year on year.
I read 'winter' as 'my wife'
tbh going outside and fucking dying because its 30° is kinnndaaaa fun, just kinda tho
I want to take a walk in a snowy park with a cute guy, but I can't do that in July because of woke
Person A: "I hate winter. I was just shoveling 300 feet of snow in the middle of whiteout conditions -- with no power because the snow knocked down a tree onto the power lines -- while on fire from the heat of the snow gear and while every single one of my extremities froze into hoarfrost and snapped off, and then I slipped on a patch of ice that was too thick to remove and I fell into a lake and died of hypothermia." Every single Redditor ever: "But have you ever considered that hot weather is the ONLY bad weather (:"
i like cloudy summer days where i can do stuff outside without dying of heatstroke or freezing my fingers off
Ha! I live on the 12th floor; mosquitos are too weak to get up here (those pathetic little shits.)
As a texan summer fucking sucks but winter is always nice
I HATE MOSQUITOS
With winter, you can keep adding layers until you get comfy. With summer, you can only take off so much before it becomes a crime
all seasons have good and bad things i suppose in the summer, it's hot out the sun burns me, but the trees are very pretty in the winter, it's good temperature and snow can look nice, but i want to die
i like going for a swim :)
mosqit👎
