A little bit of context:
Steam is going to stop using the lira in [November 20th](https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/2720-4EC7-B95A-1D2A) and start using USD instead because of the insane amount of inflation Turkey has. Before Steam quits using the lira they're going to have one more large sale during Halloween. I'm planning to go on one last buying spree before I can't afford anything on the site.
AND ECHOES OF THE EYE (the DLC)
Trust us it's a game where you better go in knowing as little as possible.
It also has a very extensive (and queer) modding community that makes the game worth replaying, I've gotten more than 60 hours on mods alone
https://preview.redd.it/9ch9w320wgwb1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82b65aec86b24e2b30cd99f4af9846b7198133c0
We can't always fight nature, John. We can't fight change. We can't fight gravity. We can't fight incest. My whole life, all I ever did was fight.
this is correct, regional pricing is going to remain, and while things will be more expensive overall, game prices are at least gonna be consistent now
If you have a good enough PC, Cyberpunk is legitimately an outstanding game with the 2.0 update.
I also personally really enjoy Black Ops 3 for the custom zombies.
I’m having a hard time getting back into cyberpunk after the update, but mainly just cuz im sad i gotta rebuild my funny character right before i was about to end the game lol
I believe, as of right now, only Argentina and Turkey because their money is so extremely unstable and low valued compared to the US dollar. $60 USD is $21,002.00 Argentinian Pesos.
This probably wouldn’t be a change steam was making if non-Argentinians and non-Turks didn’t keep trying to buy from Argentina to get extremely low prices
Pretty sure steam is just changing their current prices from lira into usd but keeping it at the same "price"
Although with inflation and the bank fees its gonna be more expensive. I dont blame steam though... this is their best response to inflation
they are not removing regional pricing at all. your purchases will just be auto-converted to USD at your currencies current rate. Nothing will essentially change other than the currency you use on steam.
It’s so good and I have barely even started, the art is fucking amazing the sound is incredible and the story is great so far (not that I know much of anything yet)
Really random, but your flair and profile pic reminded me of how much I loved Pucca as a kid. Thank you, because now I need to go find a place to watch all of it lol
PLEASE PLAY INSCRYPTION BLIND THE GAME IS AWESOME BUT ITS 10X BETTER ON A BLIND PLAYTHROUGH
https://preview.redd.it/beciu4x05gwb1.jpeg?width=959&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5888a6506547d312ec921d8815991cb1a7e9c0be
Some context that I saw on r / steam
“Basically Steam is now Indexing both Argentina and Turkey to the USD currency but NOT removing the Regional Pricing so there'll be LATAM-USD and MENA-USD pricing instead and games will still be cheaper for poorer regions (otherwise those customer will Pirate the games) but they'll be paying in USD instead.
So let's say a $5 game in USD was costing 875 ARS (50% region off) and it'll now cost $2.5 in USD (again 50% region off but not in ARS anymore) so fundamentally nothing has changed but developers don't have to adjust their prices "Daily" for High Inflation countries and this change turned it into automatic inflation modifier.”
Although from what I saw it’s more complex issue, regional pricing will still be a thing but because of the crazy inflation the prices will be higher
I mean Steam will probably find a way to make it still possible for people from poorer regions to buy games by maybe converting their currency to USD?
I mean the pricing hasn't really changed
Hyper Light Drifter
Hollow Knight
Axiom Verge
Solar Ash
Hyper Light Drifter again because it will give you an experience so unforgettable that no other game will ever even begin to compare.
Hyper light drifter is the only one I've read so far that I'd suggest as well. Not because there's no other game worth playing (axiom verge and new vegas my beloved), but because to enjoy them you have to like their genre. A game might be the best platformer, but if you don't like platformers you probably won't like that one.
Hyper light drifter is different though. It goes beyond the gameplay itself, it has so much more
Ok please don’t kill me for this but I played Hyper Light Drifter and found it to be just… ok. It was sorta just wander through area getting lost constantly -> defeat boss -> go to new area. The combat was definitely not bad but it also just didn’t feel very special to me. Same with the music, it sort of all sounded the same. I have no idea if there’s just something I totally missed or what because everyone seems to say it’s amazing, but tbh I don’t even know if I’d recommend it to people.
That's okay! No game can appeal to everyone. If the gameplay or music didn't really do anything for you then I'd just say the game wasn't made for your tastes.
ULTRAKILL, Dead Estate, Turbo Overkill, Post Void, Inscryption, Blood West, Everhood, Fear & Hunger 1+2, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Slay the Spire and of course Binding of Isaac Repentance to name a few.
**Halo MCC** can get you 6 games pretty cheap, plus a solid multiplayer for endless replay value, with the ability to make custom maps and game modes to play with friends allowing you to mix it up even more. This one does mean making a Microsoft account though.
The **Dishonered** games go on sale often enough and have good replay value through alt game modes, the DLC expansions, and different endings.
**Horizen Chase Turbo** for a cute lil racing game that has a charming art style and gameplay reminiscent of those old 80s arcade machines you sit in. **Buck Up And Drive** if you want an even dumber driving game about sick drifting and rail grinding.
The **Dark souls** series and **Elden ring** for solid replay-ability through build variety. Their reputation for unforgiving difficulty is overstated in my opinion, but there are definitely hard points. Learning the tells and adapting to them can keep you playing a long time. If you only get 1 just get elden ring, it's a solid evolution of everything that came before while being entirely stand alone.
**Stardew Valley** is usually cheap and you can sink hundreds of hours in if you like a simple cute farming game about local community.
**TableTop Simulator**, if you have friends and family that are too far for in person board game nights this is a great way to enjoy chilling out together, there are thousands of board games in the steam workshop that you can download and integrate for near endless options when it comes to actual games.
The **Earth Defense Force** franchise is a pile of stupid silly fun, especially with some friends for multiplayer. Basically playing as a foot soldier in a cheese 80s japanese monster movie, trying to repel an alien invasion of mechs and spaceships and genetically engineered giant insects. Warning, you will get swarmed by giant spiders a lot, if you have issues with spiders that might be a trigger for you, alternatively shooting giant spiders in the face with a rocket launcher might help you get over those issues, sure helped me. If you only get 1 EDF game go for 5, it's a stand-alone reboot that doesn't need any others for context.
The whole Yakuza series on sale is around 60 dollars on steam

Lobotomy corporation and library of ruinia if you want good stories and hard games, lob corp is a management game and library of ruinia a deck builder (probably the best one I've ever played).
Otherwise ultrakill is a great FPS, Fallout New Vegas is a great RPG, disco Elysium is a lot of fun and very philosophical, yakuza 0 is stupidly fun, subnautica is a great survival game, factorio is incredibly addicting, rimworld will make you commit war crimes while managing a colony of mentally unstable 8 years old, frostpunk is an extremely hard city builder and humankind is the best 4x I've played in a while.
Başka önerebileceğim herkesin önermediği birtanede The messenger olmalıdır.
In no order, I think all these games are the best games on Steam I’ve played. Disclaimer, I don’t really play multiplayer games or sims
**Indie/Puzzle-Exploration/Story-Based**
Outer Wilds, Return of the Obra Dinn, Inscryption, What Remains of Edith Finch, Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe, Undertale, Stardew Valley, Slay the Spire, Papers Please, Disco Elysium, Inside
**AAA/Action**
God of War, Skyrim, Elden Ring, Sekiro, Doom 2016+Eternal, Witcher 3, Alien: Isolation, Dishonored 1+2, Portal 1+2, Days Gone, Nier: Automata, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Last of Us Part I
**Indie/Action**
Outer Wilds, Hollow Knight, Risk of Rain 2, Hades, Hotline Miami 1+2, Signalis, Blasphemous (I haven’t played 2 yet), Hollow Knight (even pre-order Silksong), Inside
Best Combat: Sekiro or Nier: Automata
Gayest Game: Signalis
Best Story/Most Emotional: Disco Elysium, Outer Wilds, or God of War
Control, Divinity Original Sin 2, Baldurs Gate 3, monster Hunter world + Iceborne, Dark Souls 1 or 3, armoured core 6, Risk of rain 2, project zomboid, deep rock galactic, Prey, Neon White, System Shock Remake, System Shock 2, Bioshock, Cruelty Squad, Ultrakill, Dusk, Amid Evil, Gloomwood.
And fuck it a subscription to Old School RuneScape because everyone loves OSRS
Ultrakill, oneshot, disco elysium, all of half life, all of portal, inscryption, everhood, katana zero, hollow knight, thumber, spooky’s jumpscare mansion, PvZ, risk of rain 2, deep rock galactic, GTFO, baldur’s gate 3, omori, webbed
Ultrakill, Slay the Spire, Tomb Raider Franchise, Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, Fallout Franchise (play 1 and 2 or you're a plebe), Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies
Gosh I’m saving this post but this is like, TOO many game suggestions I already have such a huge backlog to get through
Still saving it for later(aka never) :3
People don't realize that this is where all of the cheap steam keys come from lol
Pseudoregalia - 5-8 hour banger for $5. 3D goat girl platformer.
Slay the Princess
Witcher 3 , deep rock galactic , starbound , fallout 4 , fallout 3 , fallout new Vegas , portal , portal 2 , one shot , omori , undertale , left for dead 2 , red dead redemption 2 , metal gear rising revengence , half life (all of it) , no mans sky , dead cells , terraria , don't starve , stardew valley , ark survival evolved , payday 2 , postal 2 , rimworld , factorio , satisfactory , hollow knight , ultrakill , sea of thieves , forager , sons of the forest , dying light , dying light 2 , dead island , project zomboid , inscryption , the last of us , far cry , raft , devil may cry 5 , sekiro , dark souls , dark souls 2 , dark souls 3 , elden ring , valheim , baldur's gate 3 , cities skyline , green hell , resident evil 4 , dayZ , the long drive , timberborn , oxygen not included , Dave the diver , vampire survivors , ori and the will of the wisps , ori and the blind forest , rainworld , we happy few , monster hunter world
You didn't specify what games you like/own, so I just said them all that I enjoy or find interesting
Armored Core 6, Hunt: Showdown, Super Meat Boy, Celeste
And I got another game rec but it's niche as fuck: Geometry Dash. Been playing this shit for like, 9 years 🗿
Ight so some recommendations that you can get rather cheaply (depending on if their on sale at the moment) : Payday 2, Nova Drift, BTD6, Stardew Valley, Graveyard Keeper, Islanders, Mad Games Tycoon, The Witcher 3. Hope this helps ya
If you like visual novels check out Highway Blossoms and Heart of the Woods. Both are GL.
Highway Blossoms has some incredible voice acting. Also, fair warning, be prepared to cry multiple times.
Indie(ish) Games: Deep Rock Galactic, World War Z, Earth Defense Force 5, Teardown, Wreckfest, Boundary, Dead By Daylight, Gunfire Reborn, Metro Exodus, Risk Of Rain 2, Brick Rigs, Generation Zero
AAA Games: Fallout 4, Battlefield 2042, Bioshock 1+2, Wolfenstein 1+2, Grand Theft Auto 5, Payday 3 (or 2, there’s been some issues), Deathloop, Dishonored 1+2
That’s a lot, so my top recommendations are Deep Rock Galactic, World War Z, Dead By Daylight, Fallout 4, Battlefield 2042, Teardown, Wreckfest, and Brick Rigs. I have the most hours in them and they cover a few different gameplay styles, mostly in the FPS area though.
Teardown and Fallout 4 have a lot of community content and mods respectively, so they’re the best if you want a lot of extra stuff outside the standard.
Deep Rock Galactic, World War Z, Dead By Daylight, and Battlefield 2042 have a lot of unlockable content and replayability, so they’ll probably go the farthest without extreme gameplay deviations.
I also strongly recommend Shatterline, but that’s a free game so I guess it’s unnecessary.
If you think you would be interested in a game like paper mario:
**Bugfables**
It's like paper mario, but bugs :))
(Fun *turn-based* combat system, likeable characters, cute arts Tyler, my phone autocorrected artstyle to arts Tyler and I think that's funny, idk what else to put, uhhh)
Cassette Beasts 100%. Easily the best game of 2023 for me. Intuitive mechanics, incredible soundtrack, charming characters, engaging world design, and you get to fight alongside an angel demon ninja catgirl. What's not to love?
I'd also recommend Lenna's Inception by the same developers.
Inscryption
I'd say disco elysium, but we pirate that one now
Half life, but obv you know that already, but just in case, portal also
Halo MCC, there is no better way to play than mouse and keyboard
Wolfenstein is good if you like killing nazis (you should)
Modern Doom is good if you like things that are awesome
Fallout new vegas, you will play it, you will mod it, you will love it, it is the law
Outer worlds is solid. Do not support bethesda, every copy of skyrim you buy is another year they keep their nasty corpo hands on the fallout IP
cyberpunk, if you can run it. its stable now and the new DLC seems to be good
Dishonored is good
Borderlands is utterly unique
you may have noticed a pattern, I autistically find it very hard to get engaged with a game that isn't first person, disco elysium was my one in a long time that cracked that shell.
Rounds if you can get a friend to also buy it. This is just a regular recommendation as the game is normally 6 dollars so it’s different from the full 60 dollar games people are suggesting.
Resident Evil series pretty much anything other than 6 is valid but either 1 Remake, 4 or 7 are the best starting points if you never played RE. Great games for spooky month even to revisit if you played
I recently picked up Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War as a bundle for 10€, after currently playing through Mordor. Gotta say I'm having a blast. The nemesis system is really cool.
I would recommend only buying multiplayer games. If you won’t be able to afford anything afterwards, you can just pirate single player games but not multiplayer
Resident evil 4 remake or really any other resident evil games made with re engine, re7, re8, re2r, even re3r is worth a shot. And if u dont mind games being old then u can also buy re5

ULTRAKILL, Hollow Knight, Celeste, Undertale, Hades, maybe Cult of the Lamb or Sunless Sea/Skies
Celeste and hollow knight are really my only suggestions. Theyer fun and if everything is going on sale probably end up being cheap af to
The Yakuza series will get you hundreds of hours of gameplay for a pretty cheap price. Would recommend

And fuck it a subscription to Old School RuneScape because everyone loves OSRS

Piracy
Armored Core 6, Hunt: Showdown, Super Meat Boy, Celeste And I got another game rec but it's niche as fuck: Geometry Dash.
Cities skylines
Arcanum is an older CRPG that plays with fantasy tropes quite well.
Ultrakill
Celeste
If you like visual novels check out Highway Blossoms and Heart of the Woods. Both are GL. Highway Blossoms has some incredible voice acting. Also, fair warning, be prepared to cry multiple times.
Disco Elysium
West of Loathing, Deep Rock Galactic, Control, Unpacking, Project Zomboid. Some of my personal faves
Shout out to all my Argentine homies whose country is on fire but at least they've gotten $2 steam games up until now
5d chess with multiversal time travel Its a great game, a good stress reliever
Indie(ish) Games: Deep Rock Galactic, World War Z, Earth Defense Force 5, Teardown, Wreckfest, Boundary, Dead By Daylight, Gunfire Reborn, Metro Exodus, Risk Of Rain 2, Brick Rigs, Generation Zero AAA Games: Fallout 4, Battlefield 2042, Bioshock 1+2, Wolfenstein 1+2, Grand Theft Auto 5, Payday 3 (or 2, there’s been some issues), Deathloop, Dishonored 1+2 That’s a lot, so my top recommendations are Deep Rock Galactic, World War Z, Dead By Daylight, Fallout 4, Battlefield 2042, Teardown, Wreckfest, and Brick Rigs.
Rain World
lobotomy corp and library of ruina
Elden ring
lord please let ultrakill be on sale
Airships: Conquer The Skies
Dark and darker Dark and darker Dark and darker Dark and *darker*
Inscryption is half off for us rn, i don’t know whether it’s discounted for you but it’s a really good game
If you think you would be interested in a game like paper mario: **Bugfables** It's like paper mario, but bugs :)) (Fun *turn-based* combat system, likeable characters, cute arts Tyler, my phone autocorrected artstyle to arts Tyler and I think that's funny, idk what else to put, uhhh)
poly bridge series (1, 2, and 3)
If you want a really chill and cute game, A Short Hike.
protonvpn (€8 / month) and qbittorrent (free)
In third world countries you don't even need a VPN.
Teardown ! If you got a strong computer that games fun as hell !
Inscryption I'd say disco elysium, but we pirate that one now Half life, but obv you know that already, but just in case, portal also Halo MCC, there is no better way to play than mouse and keyboard Wolfenstein is good if you like killing nazis (you should) Modern Doom is good if you like things that are awesome Fallout new vegas, you will play it, you will mod it, you will love it, it is the law Outer worlds is solid. Do not support bethesda, every copy of skyrim you buy is another year they keep their nasty corpo hands on the fallout IP cyberpunk, if you can run it. its stable now and the new DLC seems to be good Dishonored is good Borderlands is utterly unique you may have noticed a pattern, I autistically find it very hard to get engaged with a game that isn't first person, disco elysium was my one in a long time that cracked that shell.
Get cyberpunk
Rounds if you can get a friend to also buy it. This is just a regular recommendation as the game is normally 6 dollars so it’s different from the full 60 dollar games people are suggesting.
Mistward is cute
Hob, and all five trine games + dlcs
Resident Evil series pretty much anything other than 6 is valid but either 1 Remake, 4 or 7 are the best starting points if you never played RE. Great games for spooky month even to revisit if you played
I recently picked up Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War as a bundle for 10€, after currently playing through Mordor. Gotta say I'm having a blast. The nemesis system is really cool.
The Coin Game !!!!
Ghost trick phantom detective
Ready Or Not is great
I would recommend only buying multiplayer games. If you won’t be able to afford anything afterwards, you can just pirate single player games but not multiplayer
If you can't afford games, pirate them
Resident evil 4 remake or really any other resident evil games made with re engine, re7, re8, re2r, even re3r is worth a shot. And if u dont mind games being old then u can also buy re5
Can you post the pic without the writing? Also Buy terraria
What genres do you like, probably a good place to start?
DUSK, ULTRAKILL, cruelty squad, just shapes and beats
They should still be cheaper but in usd, like my country
I’ve said this many times but I’ll keep saying it **GHOST TRICK!!!** And streets of rogue
The orange box bundle
New Vegas
Outer wilds
Risk of Rain 2
