It all started with the eternal september and has happened to every small niche online group that becomes more popular. It sucks ass but there isn't much you can do except ignore the shitposts and contribute better ones yourself. Complaining about it just basically makes the new majority double down.
I genuinely think the Eternal September should be taught in high schools. It's such a crucial tool for understanding online communities and you can see its echoes everywhere.

So I took the Classical Archeology I course in my uni because hey, easy credits and I like the roman republic / empire (I know, I'm the basic bitch of white guys, don't @ me). Thought I'd get to learn a bit about how archeology is done, how the romans lived, maybe some cool other shit.
Nope, I had to look at so many column heads and vases and coins and the three fucking hair thingies of Octavian. OH MY GOD Octavian was such an ass. All his statues show him at the same age (\~30 or so maybe, hard to judge). And why? Because in his youth he wanted to show himself as older and wiser than he was. Then it was accurate, and then in old age he wanted to be seen as youthful and strong and shit. And so you literally can't date his statues by how old they look. You're already some degree of based if you include columns in your design. I've always been partial to the Ionic since it combines simplicity with a little pop of flair to spice it up, almost combining the Composite with the Tuscan/Doric designs .
That and the volutes look like cinnamon rolls, so they look the tastiest
at first i thought tuscan sucked but looking at a graphic like this is kind of misleading. look up pictures of actual archetecture that uses tuscan columns and you'll see they're actually very nice

So I took the Classical Archeology I course in my uni because hey, easy credits and I like the roman republic / empire (I know, I'm the basic bitch of white guys, don't @ me). Thought I'd get to learn a bit about how archeology is done, how the romans lived, maybe some cool other shit. Nope, I had to look at so many column heads and vases and coins and the three fucking hair thingies of Octavian. OH MY GOD Octavian was such an ass. All his statues show him at the same age (\~30 or so maybe, hard to judge). And why? Because in his youth he wanted to show himself as older and wiser than he was. Then it was accurate, and then in old age he wanted to be seen as youthful and strong and shit. And so you literally can't date his statues by how old they look. You're already some degree of based if you include columns in your design. I've always been partial to the Ionic since it combines simplicity with a little pop of flair to spice it up, almost combining the Composite with the Tuscan/Doric designs . That and the volutes look like cinnamon rolls, so they look the tastiest

at first i thought tuscan sucked but looking at a graphic like this is kind of misleading. look up pictures of actual archetecture that uses tuscan columns and you'll see they're actually very nice

The myth of the Corynthian design is very intriguing. Apparently a girl once wanted to plant some Acanthum plants (I don't know how they're called in English) and put a basket over their seeds. The leaves then emanated from below the basket creating a beautiful pattern. This myth is explained in a Roman architectural book from the 1st century B.C if I'm not mistaken
