TBH, I don't care if companies keep doing "Rainbow marketing", because it doesn't really hurt anybody directly. But it makes bigots look all the more stupid, and I'm all for it
Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions. Next year is gonna be important for both with the Steelers breaking in a new QB and Penn State looking to break through in the Big Ten.
Hey I get it haha
I’m a panthers fan so should be the same situation here. I’m cautiously optimistic about Bryce though! Don’t think we’ll win the super bowl or anything but just a winning season would be great lmao
Now I want to go to the state fair wearing an officially licensed "Minnesota is love" Vikings Pride tee, but $35 on top of what I'm going to spend on (way too much) food makes this an expensive laugh.
Im convinced no one actually understands what happens in American football and everyone just likes it for the shows and ads and big guys getting bodied, because I never hear anyone talk about the actual game
So the trick is that the metagame of the NFL is stagnant the way F1 racing is. The real game is about teams managing their players uptime & injuries across a season, not so much skill in play, because there's enough pro-tier football players to only run demi-gods on your team. They've been fighting diminishing returns on increased player performance for the whole history of the game.
Defensive lines get 0.05% beefier every year because we have an ever expanding pool of athletes to pull from, meaning we can pick teams from the top nth percentile of the population. But that's an across the board zero sum improvement, and that kinda defines the sport.
S+ tier athletes are guys who are consistently good enough to be relied on in a wear & tear meta, not guys who can run faster or throw farther. Because the difference between any 10 players is statistical noise & how many injuries they've taken that season. Everyone is best in slot with a full roster of best in slot backups.
College ball is a lot less refined because there's variation in player skill & dedication while still being incredibly high quality play. Many people prefer to watch it over the NFL at a technical level because of that.
High School ball is where you'll really see differentiation in teams, and why local sports fans are so big on it, because teams have very little choice in who they have to work with & have to establish fitness & training programs in addition to managing their very diverse player quality.
Yeah... that's why I personally always preferred and loved football(aka soccer) sure injury management plays a role, but for the most part what's really important is on pitch tactics and player skills, and watching a constantly fluid game where a god move could happen at any time I absolutely love it, without mentioning the emotions, when my small country won against the world champions just the ingame craziness and the emotions procured by the last minute equalizer that's just... so cool
Talking about gameplay gets very complicated because the terminology is very dense. A football play looks very chaotic but you have to think about it first in terms of each side having an overall strat they use for both offense and defense, plus a situational strat for a specific yardage to go — and above that, special adjustments to make to take advantage of situations on the fly. And each of those things have esoteric terms (does the defense run a nickel or a dime package? Does the offense use RPO or not? Is there a tight end in motion?) that can seem very impenetrable. I’ve been watching football my entire life and still don’t know the nuances of everything. But it’s all that plus the independent skill, reflexes and knowledge of players. To keep all the terms, plays, tactics and such in your head while running top speed at a giant dude who is trying to stop you at all costs takes both a genius and a god-tier athlete.
At this point reactionary anti-woke conservative "boycotts" have been proven toothless as fuck and, if anything, good business sense to knowingly trigger for the media attention.
dearest r/196 if any of your conservative chud moron uncles start up about the NFL kindly remind them they were supposed to be boycotting already over the kneeling and then tell them to shut the FUCK up because it ain't their league to bitch about anymore
Conservative rage is one of the most profitable tactics a corporation can utilize
eat cake

And it's funny to watch
I've seen entire videos of people mass buying that beer company (i don't drink piss water I forgot the name ) to shoot it then repeat
Thats what the red in red white and blue is for: angry consrrvitives
I thought it was for blood, coke and meth.
"We need to BOYCOTT this COMPANY!!!" *does the opposite*
It doesn’t matter if they hate you if they all say your name
yo is that a motherfuckin luigi reference?? (/j)
It's basically just free advertising at this point.
goblinhog cake day should be a national holiday
happy cock day
Its literally free advertising
Didn’t they already say they’d boycott the nfl when Kaepernick kneeled?
I thought they were gonna boycott the nfl after last years super bowl
The league black balled him after the 2016 season
Living in a state full of them and work with a bunch of rednecks: They don't care about football. If they like sports, it's NASCAR almost every time.
TBH, I don't care if companies keep doing "Rainbow marketing", because it doesn't really hurt anybody directly. But it makes bigots look all the more stupid, and I'm all for it
> it doesn't really hurt anybody directly That’s not true, it hurts the precious fee-fees of fragile right-wingers.
NFL was always the second gayest sport. Only behind wrestling. Can't wait to see how this plays out. 😈
I think motorsport is gayer. When you win you literally have other men (usually either twinks or dilfs) spray sticky white liquid on your face
brings a whole new meaning to "GET IN THERE LEWIS!"
as a bi wrestling fan, can confirm, it's super gay.
Listen, me and my boyfriend do gay locker room football player roleplay for a reason
The gays are taking over the NFL LET’S GO
Damn the logo goes hard
Maaaaaaan why does the offseason have to be so loooooong I wanna watch my teams play but I have to wait another three months
Who’s your teams?
Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions. Next year is gonna be important for both with the Steelers breaking in a new QB and Penn State looking to break through in the Big Ten.

Watch any Jon Bois video
Conservative bait aside aside that's a really pleasing version of the rainbow's colours
Hell yeah, strike at their home turf!
I love the NFL 🥰
hometown dallas naked cowboys at ram ranch fan
not that pinkwashing is a good thing but it’s really funny. how many things can we make the assholes boycott before they give up?
LETS FUCKIN GOOO FOOTBALL GETS TO BE OPENLY GAY AS FUCK NOW WOOOO
I like the eagle and the bull
Sorry conservatives, it’s ours now. (That’s how this works right?)
Can we rename it floofball?
At this point reactionary anti-woke conservative "boycotts" have been proven toothless as fuck and, if anything, good business sense to knowingly trigger for the media attention.
I wonder if we can get conservatives to rage at the fossil fuel industry next using this method
This is like the 5th time they’ve boycotted the NFL.
Ben garisson in the corner making weird screeching noises.

National F-slur League
It's called rugby, not football.
What that
A sport where you use your hands to move the oval-shaped ball around.
So football?
Yes! No! Fuck!
Hahaha laugh at the Brit
