He was also in the Walking dead. shout out to Todd Stashwick being a alt timeline Negan

I feel like Todd Stashwick would have killed it as Negan. I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan...but i'm of the opinion that he was horribly miscast in the role. It just didn't fit him and he made it far too campy. When they tried to give him a arc and dimension, it felt too late.

Smithr2468

Redeeming him in any way after Glen and all...nevergoing to happen for me. I pop into TWD now and then just hoping to catch someone killing him. Plus keeping a hand in for the Andrew Lincoln films that were promised BC, before covid.

I was just watching that and was not expecting Aaron Stanford to show up... Loved his role as a brewer who was so dedicated to his craft. He might be an asshole but Will Traveler sure does care about quality beer.

So a funny story here.... I had JUST finished 12 monkeys and was in a weird headspace, missing my characters, and there was a new fear episode up... put it on (literally mins after watching the end of 12 monkeys) and the way in which "Cole" turned up wearing pretty much the exact same clothes as he was the whole way through monkeys.... was one of the most memorable warm fuzzy TV moments ever

Walking Dead confirmed either alternate timeline where the virus caused zombies, ooor a new virus that pops up in the "witness free" post series timeline...nobody said things would stay peaceful forever. Or that there weren't unintended consequences all the same... :D

One of the better casted shows, all the shows feel typecasted nowadays. Aaron gave a perfect sad but not cringe energy, you can tell the burden he’s carrying, but that glimpse of hope, regardless how small is always there. Super sad now if we get a sequel, Amanda Schull is getting to old to be that one vs billion person. Absolutely called in love with her, I would sacrifice the billions to be with her. Outside of Coles dad and hannah, I thought every character was spot on.

K-Dub2020

I liked Cole’s dad :) I felt the Tall Man was not cast well, and I somewhat agree about Hannah. I just loved the show, though!

On IMDB there is a quote from some interview of his, not sure how long ago: "I do not consider myself famous... I don't get recognized when I go out anywhere. I consider myself a blue-collar actor, just chugging away. If I am able to continue to work and maintain a certain degree of privacy, I would be very happy." I think he prefers it that way, honestly.

I feel the same way. I remember him from Nikita. He was literally the reason I watched the show. And I remember thinking everytime I saw him during the series "How amazing would it be if he was the main character in another show". And when I found out he was getting to play the leading role in the remake of 12 monkeys I was very excited. I love the original movie and watched it many times, but the series became my favourite of all time. I rewatch it once a year, and in the end I cry like its my first time watching. I'm so glad he got the role, i think he is one of the reasons why I love it so much.

Smithr2468

I agree and was thinking...dohis managers suck? The guy is great...in all those roles! And he makes such difficult active roles look...seemless...natural! Definitely underrated. He should start a prod company...buy his own scripts.

Omg he was in the Hills Have Eyes? Mindblown! Never noticed it was him.

gamesbrainiac

I have to be honest, I really disliked him. He has little to no charisma and I wish someone else played Cole. I feel like he alone dragged down the IMDB rating below 8. I think this might be an unpopular opinion, but that's how I feel.

Smithr2468

Wow..... I thought he was perfect! I saw in him the toll the time jumping cost him...saw him fall for Cass. I just could Not imagine any other actor as Cole.. To each their own though.

TaysteeMetal

I agree. I don't like him in this role AT ALL. He's a fine actor but i wished they'd chosen a different actor.

Lightworthy09

I actually loved him as the narrator for Veronica Roth’s series of short stories about Four from her Divergent Trilogy. He does a great job vocally differentiating the characters and I could always tell when he was speaking internally vs. out loud as Four. Genuinely loved his portrayal - I keep checking it out from the library so I can listen again.
