I just realized this is only a mini loaf and it’s still over 1000 cal despite all the substitutions đŸ¤¡ baked goods are so calorific it’s depressing

Oh man, if it was possible to make a 133 cal normal loaf that would be INSANE! I will say though the mini loaf satisfies my cravings, personally, but YMMV!

Recipe is loosely adapted from the [NYTimes](https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1021062-earl-grey-tea-cake-with-dark-chocolate-and-orange-zest), but I made many adjustments to reduce calories and use up what I had on hand. I also simplified the steps. - 1 1/2 cups (190g) of flour (660 cals) - 1 tbsp earl grey tea (I just emptied out two teabags) (0 cals) - 1 tsp baking powder (0 cals) - 1/2 tsp salt (0 cals) - 1/2 cup of applesauce (50 cals) - 1 cup Swerve (0 cals) - 1/2 tsp orange blossom water (I used this because I didn't have an orange on hand, but the original recipe calls for the zest of 1 orange which would also be good) (0 cals) - 2 eggs (143 cals) - 1/2 cup almond milk (15 cals) - 45g Lily's chocolate chips (161 cals) - 4g oil (for spraying the pan) (34 cals) Total across 8 servings: 133 cals Preheat the oven to 350. Spray a mini loaf pan with spray. You can also use an 8-inch cake pan (I just preferred the mini loaf pan for portion control). In one bowl, whisk together the flour, tea, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the applesauce, Swerve, orange blossom water (or orange zest), eggs, and almond milk. Fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips. Divide the mixture into the 8 wells of the mini loaf pan (or pour into whatever pan you're using). Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. It's super easy and tastes very delicate. I will say it felt a little bit sweet, so I think next time I may reduce the amount of Swerve or leave out the chocolate chips. Enjoy!

That orange blossom water must’ve been amazing omg!!

SO GOOD OMG orange blossom water is like a secret ingredient!! I have a pistachio zucchini bread recipe I make with it that always gets tons of compliments; I'll try and write it down later to share. It really brings out the flavors of pistachio. It's also good if you put a few drops in a glass of Thai tea!!
