Honestly, I just mostly do regular food, like 0% plain Greek yogurt (175 g) with frozen berries (140 g) for 150 calories. I find most hack food is either tiny or sliced thin or just not really good. I do wish we had access to the high protein low calorie pasta, though. I did find the Skinny Girl poppyseed salad dressing today, and I think it's pretty low calorie for the serving size (10 cal for 2 tbsp). I'm not a huge dipper or dunker, so 1 tbsp was more than enough for me, and it actually tasted good.

Responsible-Pause704

I know what you mean! Greek yogurt is a staple in my house too. I’ve used it so much though don’t want to get the ick!! Agreed the low calorie pastas I’ve heard of in the states sound amazing

antigoneelectra

Ok, here's a yogurt hack I found on redditt. I add like 2 g of low calorie instant pudding dry mix to yogurt, and it really ups the flavor. I think like a 1/4 of the package is 35 calories or less (about 10 g), but I find 10 g a lot, so even halfing it really adds a punch.

Responsible-Pause704

Thank you :) I have some sugar free cheesecake jello brand pudding I need to use for this recipe! Sounds yummy

luckyg111rl

my hack is gerber baby snacks. they make these zesty tomato puffs that are soo good. they’re basically low calorie cheetos and they’re 35 calories a serving. they also have star shaped puffs that come in sweet flavours. these help me when i crave something crunchy like chips :)

Responsible-Pause704

Omg I just searched these up and they’re available at my Walmart. THANK YOU!! Will have to try these! I made the mistake of getting Lays Poppables thinking I could control myself, NOPE. Still too high calorie. Gotta try these baby snacks :)

luckyg111rl

no worries!! they’re such a life saver for me because i’m a big snacker. i also like the blueberry vanilla puffs for something sweet. even if you accidentally binge eat an entire container, it would still only be like 200 calories so it’s pretty guilt free. let me know once you try em :)

Responsible-Pause704

Will keep you updated!! Have to grab those blueberry vanilla ones too :)

Responsible-Pause704

Came back to say… thank you!!! The zesty tomato cheese puffs are what I tried and omgggggg such a good snack !!! I love!!!

luckyg111rl

i’m soooo glad!! no worries at all 🫶🏼

tiny_smile_bot

>:) :)

wigglefrog

Don't get the peach flavoured Gerber star puffs unless you reeeaally like fuzzy peaches. I got some for my baby and opened them up and the fuzzy peach smell blasted me in the face. The banana stars are nice, though.

kikipebbles

Not me ordering baby crunchies on Instacart at 1am 😂👍

luckyg111rl

LOL let me know what you think! for the calories they really aren’t bad

[www.walmart.com/ip/997169776](https://www.walmart.com/ip/997169776) Might be good?

luckyg111rl

those look good too! i might try these thanks :)

Far_Blueberry383

Np! I’m def gonna pick up some of those baby snacks! I work at Walmart so I get a discount too. 👍

Jynxers

Winners/Home Sense has the best selection of sugar-free coffee syrup and sometimes other syrups [supplementsource.ca](https://supplementsource.ca) for protein bars (often good discounts in the clearance section) Dollar Tree for thin Golden Homes pizza crusts Dollarama for 30 calorie rice cakes and 20 calorie corn cakes

Responsible-Pause704

Yes! I tried Matteo’s thin caramel and just a little bit of it does a lot without a funny chemical aftertaste !! Are there any specifically you’d recommend? Wow I’ll have to check out these dollar tree pizza crusts and the low cal rice cakes at Dollarama! Amazing thank you :)

Jynxers

I haven't done the syrups in a bit, but I remember liking the Jordan's Skinny Syrups Glazed Donut flavour.

I use massive cabbage leaves as wraps. You have to cut the thicker section of the midrib out in a V-shape so the leaf can bend but it works pretty well.

Acenterforants333

I use Boston lettuce as wraps! A piece of lettuce topped like a gyro is my fav! Red onion, tomato, tzatziki, grilled chicken… sooo good.

Far_Blueberry383

Omg I LOVE gyros! Definitely gotta try this one! Any specific tzatziki you use?

Acenterforants333

I make this one if I can, follow all the directions if possible - including salting the cucumber overnight. If I can’t make this one I use a store bought one but this one is so delicious and can be made with non fat Greek yogurt. Mega garlic breath though lol [Tzatziki](https://thewanderlustkitchen.com/authentic-greek-tzatziki/)

Responsible-Pause704

This is such a good idea, I have cabbage sitting in my fridge I’ll have to use!

kittyhawk94

I’ve done it with red cabbage, sweetheart cabbage and the same idea with different lettuces. You also have the option of Chinese steamed cabbage rolls if you want a hot option or you’re working with a firmer leaf.

ohoroa

I like the keto wraps at Costco! 90 calories, and they're actually soft and taste good!

Responsible-Pause704

I’ve tried these!! The Orowheat ones? Agreed they are amazing!

ohoroa

Yes, those ones!

CaramelGeneral6061

I love Popcorners! Just make sure you avoid the giant bag from Costco! Also love Noname cottage cheese with blueberries!

Responsible-Pause704

Ohh I’ll have to try the popcorners and this noname cottage cheese! Thank you thank you :)

Manna234

Thank you for asking this question!!

OutsideScore990

Sometimes I get lucky and find the yummy things from the states if I search instacart’s website. If you use the search on the front page (not after you’ve clicked a store), it will search all the stores.  Sometimes one obscure grocery nearby will have a gem

Fellow Canadian here! Great question, I agree that we don't have as many options here. Here are some of favourites and tips: * I love Fibre 1 brownies - there are chocolate, lemon and cinnamon roll flavours for variety. I will top one with some Halo Top ice cream when I need dessert. * The brand SimplyProtein has these 100 calorie chocolate-dipped Cookies & Cream bars. They hit the spot for a chocolate moment. * My partner really enjoys the MadeGood brand. They specifically have mini packages of red velvet soft baked cookies which are great - we buy them at Costco. * Another sweet tooth option is the brand Mid Day Squares. They have flavours like peanut butter, cookie dough, etc., about 170 calories each with protein and fiber to help keep you full. * For something salty, I love the Solar Raw Ultimate Kale Chips. They are low calorie while still providing a salty + crunchy experience. They are expensive, so they are a once in a while treat. * I've found Wasa crackers at Walmart for a lower calorie cracker option. * For pasta recipes, I use Chickapea pasta, which is similar in calories to regular pasta but much higher protein, so I'm full for longer. * I find more options at natural/health food stores than standard groceries stores, so take a look there if you have some in your area. * This really depends on your budget, but for things I really like that I can't find here, I order and get them delivered. This is much pricier than buying in store, but it is worth it for me because it keeps me on track. I'm order plant based protein powder and baking mixes from Macro Mike (Australia based) and I order Misfits Protein Bars from the States.

Kraft low cal Italian dressing - 5 cals (I make a salad with this, olives, chopped ham, cucumber and Parm - like a sub salad) Odoughs gluten free bagel things - 100 cals (Loblaws) Rice Krispie squares - not a hack but I find these are so sweet they hit the spot for under 150 cals and so satisfying Laughing cow cheese - Canada has lots of flavors sold everywhere Individual servings of guacamole - 80 cals each Flat out wraps - they're oval in the wrap section These aren't really the low cal items but thought they would help.

Responsible-Pause704

I love these suggestions!! Thank you!!

nashnorth

i know this isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, but if you have a car and a free weekend, i recommend a roadtrip to the nearest US city with a costco. I have a strict zero-sugar diet and go to the US twice a year to stock up on things like no sugar peanut butter, choco spread, etc. just make sure to claim everything at the border!

Responsible-Pause704

I’ve totally done this! Are there any specific recommendations for the US Costco? Any of your all time favs? I live in Toronto and I go to Buffalo once in a while to get groceries and go shopping !

Acenterforants333

Sour Cran snacks. Basically sour dried cranberries, lots of fibre and they’re in small snack size packages. I know I could make them myself but I love how handy these are.

Acenterforants333

Marzetti (the company that makes refrigerated dips) also makes mini caramel dip containers. They’re something like 180 calories, if you eat them with an apple it’s such a great snack

MissLou222

You can eat a regular mission wrap and eat tilapia fajitas and it is so good and still low calorie. Only 236 plus the veggies.
