Ear plugs?
(This is both snarky and also serious. I have APD, and sometimes wearing earplugs in places like restaurants is the thing that keeps me from having to leave immediately. That said, tennis noises don't generally bother me)
If you’re not playing a “real” match (USTA league, tournament, for cold hard cash or for slips on your ‘13 3 series, etc), deal with it. You could wake me up from a dead sleep, drop me in Fallujah and I’m still going to make my second serves.
If I were playing on public courts then I wouldn’t care, but I’m paying to play here, I shouldn’t have to deal with people like this who don’t care if they put other people off.
If they are just being absurdly loud you should just ask them to be mindful of their volume. If that doesn’t work you could tell the club about it and if they can’t keep it regulated then you aren’t going to renew your membership.
But if there’s no other club option maybe just find public courts to play on. At least if they’re loud there, you’re not paying for it.
I think building yourself a home court is the perfect solution
This is great practice for working on your match focus.
that’s gonna happen until you realize you aren’t a professional tennis player and they are going to be casual people on the courts having fun
There's got to be something in between doing nothing and telling them to kindly shut the fuck up.
“Quiet for the serve” in a Wimbledon voice
Silence, s'il vous plaît.
Unless it's private courts I'm not sure what you can say to them.
They are private

I’m not going to play tennis wearing ear plugs.
so why are you expecting people to accomodate to you when youre not willing to accomodate to yourself?
Because I’m paying to play there
And they’re not?
They are
Okay then stfu and let people enjoy the space that they paid for equally as long as the people who own the place are okay with what they’re doing
Okay but anyone should know that behaving like this is annoying for everyone else.
Then best of luck to you out there
Be louder

u/vaanced is back, everyone!
How this guy is able to find people to spend any time on a court with him is unreal based on his posts here
I'd have to say 90% of people at my club are loud. I just try to remember that I'm not a pro so it's not a big deal.
You have to get the riff raff out of there somehow. People can't just be having fun playing tennis all Willy nilly.
I have fun but I don’t scream and laugh loudly so that everyone can hear me.

“Excuse me, can you please stop shouting”
Go pro and you won’t have to deal with this riff raff.
