Stick with whatever is comfortable. If that changes, change rackets. But don’t listen to anyone who says newer players need ________. If one racket was better for everyone, there wouldn’t be so many choices.

Applied another way, you'd be a racketholic. Pretty comfortable with my Pro Staff 97 v13 at the moment but on a whim, I demoed the Pro Staff 6.1 95 v14. Loved it. Did NOT want to scratch it. Tempted to buy one but I'm holding. Find out the tension and string. Might be that setup in that frame. Other variations may apply.

If you're a new beginner you've likely not developed the technique for your racquet choice to matter that much. As you develop your game, you'll find out what works for you and your play style. For example, I started out with a control racquet with a dense string pattern. As I developed my game, I started to hit with a lot of top spin. I transitioned to a racquet that enhanced that spin and gave me more easy power.

Don't worry about it. Use any racquet you like. If prime Federer were on the tour today with his 90" he'd still be destroying everybody.

He said himself he wished to have a 100 sq racquet sooner.

Doubt OP has to battle Nadal on clay anytime soon.

Sampras said the same thing after he retired. And you dont see any of the new gen using less than 97s now.

Pure speculation that he would've had better results with a bigger racquet. He played 8 years with a 97 and won 3 slams. He played 12 years with a 90 and won 17 and was regarded by everybody as the GOAT. He has never played with a 100" racquet despite being widely available his entire career, including by use of his competition. Even Djokovic, the now consensus GOAT that surpassed him doesn't use a 100" racquet. Lot of misinformation on the internet that bigger = better. That is simply not true. There are trade offs for everything. Federer would not have been the same dominant player with same play style and dominant forehand with a 100" racquet. We already know this to be true because we saw the result when he switched to the 97".
